At this moment, the door of the VIP room opened, and Haihua appeared in front of Lin Mu, then happily walked towards him,

"Honey, why are you here?"

While speaking, Haihua affectionately took Lin Mu’s arm, then intimately pecked a kiss on Lin Mu’s cheek in an ambiguous manner, "Are you coming to protect me because you’re worried about me?"

Lin Mu returned Haihua’s kiss with a charming one of his own, then gave a bewitching look, of course, this demeanor was clearly for someone specific.

"Yes, I am worried about you, my dear, so I came to check on you."

Pang Baiwu, standing on the side, was so angry that his eyes almost popped out. Damn, kissing right in front of him, wasn’t this blatantly disregarding his status?

But honestly, neither of them really cared about Pang Baiwu.

Haihua, holding onto Lin Mu’s arm, then said to Pang Baiwu, "Pang Baiwu, let me introduce you; this is my husband."

"Haha, no need for an introduction, we already met earlier." Lin Mu said with a smile.

"Ah, you’ve met already?" Haihua said in surprise.

Pang Baiwu gave Lin Mu a fierce glare, then awkwardly smiled at Haihua, "Yes, yes, we met just now."

"Alright then, honey, let’s go inside." Haihua said, holding onto Lin Mu’s arm.

Lin Mu nodded and then glanced at Pang Baiwu, "Haha, brother, come join us inside."

"You go ahead and have fun; I’m just going to the restroom and will come back to drink with you," Pang Baiwu said, then smiled at Haihua, turned around, and left. As he turned, he shot Lin Mu a murderous glare as if telling him, this isn’t over; if you piss me off, just wait for it!

Of course, Lin Mu chose to ignore it; there are too many flies in this world. No matter how clean you like to keep things, you’ll never swat them all away, so it’s best to turn a blind eye and ignore them. After all, Lin Mu was dealing with the Tang Sect, and didn’t want to make too many enemies just yet, though that didn’t mean he was afraid of him.

In fact, Lin Mu had never been afraid of anyone, of course, except for that old man at home, because that old guy wasn’t human; not only his martial arts were terrifying, but his ability to handle things was even more frightening!

After Pang Baiwu left, Haihua, led by Lin Mu, entered the VIP room. Inside, the two of them played for a long time with a few other male and female friends. Of course, they were not as arrogant as Pang Baiwu; everyone was very friendly and got along well with Lin Mu, and they all began to sing together.

At that moment, Pang Baiwu washed his face in the restroom, glaring fiercely at his own reflection in the mirror, but he was seeing Lin Mu’s face instead.

"Dammit, you want to play with me? I could crush you in an instant," Pang Baiwu said, clenching his fist and coldly looking at his reflection. Of course, he wasn’t dumb enough to storm into the VIP room and start a fight with Lin Mu.

Using violence in front of Haihua would definitely reduce his worth, and he couldn’t guarantee he’d win against Lin Mu, after all. The key was Haihua herself; if she got upset, Pang Baiwu might lose any chance forever. More importantly, Pang Baiwu could see that now Haihua was on Lin Mu’s side, the two of them sharing a close, boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

"However, I will definitely win Haihua back!" Pang Baiwu declared bitterly.

So Pang Baiwu had to come up with a foolproof plan to deal with Lin Mu without getting himself involved directly; at a critical moment, he might even step in to assist, leaving a favorable impression on Haihua.

After thinking for a while, Pang Baiwu took out his phone and made a call.

To be honest, Pang Baiwu didn’t have many genuine friends, but he had plenty of drinking buddies, and one call was enough to gather a number of them; after all, he was the son of a real estate tycoon, and many people were eager to stick around him and enjoy free meals and drinks. Pang Baiwu was generous, so he had gathered quite a few drinking pals. When a real situation arose, whether they would stand by him was uncertain, but this crowd of drinking pals was always boasting about how they would go to great lengths for Pang Baiwu.

Pang Baiwu made some calls to his buddies, and initially, they were noncommittal, but when they heard there was only one guy, Lin Mu, they immediately got outraged, cursing Lin Mu for his lack of propriety, for stealing someone’s love as if Haihua had always been destined to marry Pang Baiwu. They told him to wait at the venue and not to let Lin Mu escape; they were on their way.

Pang Baiwu was very pleased with this scenario; he had already arranged everything before. When they came, both sides would pretend not to know each other, all set up. Pang Baiwu, humming a little tune, returned to the VIP room, waiting to watch a good show.

Pang Baiwu entered the VIP room, greeted Lin Mu cheerfully. Outsiders would have thought they were old friends, just like brothers, though both harbored different intentions.

Lin Mu also smiled warmly and greeted Pang Baiwu, and the two drank like old friends, but their hidden rivalry was evident to both. Lin Mu knew that this fool Pang Baiwu suddenly changing demeanor was because he had some sinister plan in mind, yet Lin Mu was confident in handling him.

With one drink down, the atmosphere was pleasant; Pang Baiwu didn’t say any provocative words again, but occasionally gave Lin Mu a strange smile, while Lin Mu continued to ignore him, knowing that Pang Baiwu was merely a minor character.

After a bustling half an hour, Pang Baiwu went out to take a call and then returned.

The two sat together again, nothing unusual, drinking, chatting, as if earlier unpleasantness had vanished.

About ten minutes later, the lively atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by the sound of someone kicking the door from outside.

With a loud bang, the door of the VIP room was kicked open, and a few thugs stormed in, exuding an extreme arrogance, one bald and tattooed, shirtless, with lifelike images of Cyan Dragon and White Tiger inked on his arms, exhibiting a cocky demeanor.

The thugs were young, around twenty years old, an age most fond of brawling, setting the stage for what was to come. The lively vibe in the hall came to a screeching halt, plunging into silence immediately.

"Which one of you is Lin Mu?" one of the thugs shouted, pointing into the VIP room.
