Chapter 1427 - 1442: Entering the Tiger’s Den Alone
"Hmm, confirmed, definitely at that location," Xiong Xiaoxiao said.
"Alright, thanks Xiaoxiao, I have something to take care of, let’s chat later!" Lin Mu said.
"Okay, Brother Lin, let’s chat when there’s time," Xiong Xiaoxiao replied.
After hanging up the phone, Lin Mu pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "The location has been confirmed; it’s at the Tang Family Mansion where Tang Zhilong used to live."
"Boss, should we attack now?" Earth Wolf asked.
"Yes, let’s attack immediately and catch them off guard. I believe that they won’t expect us to find him so quickly. This is the time when they are most relaxed, because they can’t possibly imagine that we’ve already located them," Lin Mu said.
"Alright, let’s attack immediately." Earth Wolf nodded.
"Uh, you two should stay behind. Your injuries aren’t suitable for combat right now," Lin Mu said.
"No way, we’re going with you no matter what," Earth Wolf said, waving his hand.
"With your injuries, it’s too dangerous if you come along. Instead, you’ll just hold me back," Lin Mu rejected with a wave of his hand.
"Boss, you know me, Earth Wolf, so I won’t say much more. If you look down on me, then I won’t go," Earth Wolf said.
Lin Mu understood Earth Wolf’s temperament and didn’t argue much. After all, this was the most advantageous time, and time was limited; focusing on serious matters was more important.
Moreover, given the situation, leaving Earth Wolf behind wouldn’t be right, so Lin Mu agreed without further dispute.
"Remember, you must be careful, got it?" Lin Mu reminded.
"Relax, boss, we’re not chicks. Not going because of such minor injuries would be too embarrassing," Earth Wolf smiled.
"Let’s go." Lin Mu said, and the three of them got into a car, with Lin Mu driving quickly towards the Tang Family Mansion where Tang Zhilong was located.
Having been there a few times, Lin Mu remembered the route. He drove quickly, and at this speed, they should be there soon. The other side wouldn’t expect Lin Mu to know their location, and even if they knew, they wouldn’t think it would be exposed so quickly. Hence, this was the most relaxed time for Huo Feng and the others.
Lin Mu had to seize this opportunity to rescue Haihua. And not only rescue her, but also deal with the opponents—Huo Feng and the others involved, including Celestial Eagle and Tang Hongwei—making sure they paid a heavy price.
Moreover, this incident made Lin Mu realize that continuing like this was absolutely impossible. He had to take the initiative and eliminate Tang Hongwei. Just waiting for them to attack and then countering wasn’t satisfying, because he couldn’t be sure what methods they would use next. As the saying goes, the best defense is offense.
Ten minutes later, Lin Mu drove into Handan Central Avenue. This time, Lin Mu had to infiltrate the Tang Family stealthily, without being detected. If discovered, then Haihua would be in danger, so upon entering the central avenue, Lin Mu stopped the car.
Lin Mu planned to circle around to enter through the rear door of the Tang Family and then jump over the wall.
After stopping the car, King Kong and Earth Wolf got out with Lin Mu. Lin Mu was never afraid of fighting; his biggest fear was them threatening him with Haihua, leading them to harm her out of frustration.
Therefore, as long as he found Haihua and brought her to his side, Lin Mu would have accomplished anything. Even if they were discovered in the end, it wouldn’t be a problem, because he had enough capability to protect Haihua’s safety.
Lin Mu gave his two subordinates brief instructions and then led the way towards the back of Tang Family Mansion 21. Earth Wolf and King Kong followed closely behind!
Although both Earth Wolf and King Kong were injured, their movements were swift. The three arrived at the back of the Tang Family Mansion. Lin Mu gestured, then leaped onto the wall.
Lin Mu stayed on the wall, checking the security situation of the Tang Family Mansion. There were quite a few guards at the gate, and two guards were roaming the backyard, relatively relaxed.
To enter the Tang Family Mansion, the two guards in the backyard had to be dealt with without alerting the guards at the front. After dealing with the backyard guards, Lin Mu could climb to the second floor through the window. Although the windows on the first floor were closed, those on the second floor were open; he’d enter through there and look for Haihua’s location, which would make it easier.
Of course, Earth Wolf and King Kong would stay outside to support; them going inside would be useless and would instead easily expose them.
After observing, Lin Mu leapt down from the wall.
"I’ve scouted the terrain. There are only two guards in the backyard. Once I neutralize them, I’ll go up to the second floor. You guys stay here to support. As long as I find Haihua, whether they discover us or not doesn’t matter anymore. You watch the situation here," Lin Mu said to King Kong and Earth Wolf.
"Boss, why don’t I go in with you?" Earth Wolf said.
"No, we can’t be seen by them now. If you are discovered, Haihua will be in danger. These people are desperadoes; they definitely won’t negotiate with us. So, we only have one chance, no second. I’ll go in alone, I can handle it," Lin Mu said.
Earth Wolf nodded, then said, "Alright, boss, be careful."
"Come on, when did you become so naggy, like a woman? Stop babbling and stay here. As soon as I come out, you guys will support me," Lin Mu said.
"Understood, boss." Earth Wolf nodded.
Then, Lin Mu leapt again, jumping into the backyard, while the two guards wandered back and forth. Looking at them, they were obviously not very alert.
Lin Mu slowly sneaked over, then flashed like a Ghost Shadow in front of the two guards. As the guards saw Lin Mu, they widened their eyes, but before they could speak, there were two crisp snapping sounds. Before they could react, Lin Mu had broken their necks. The poor guards didn’t even know how they died at the last moment.
After easily settling with the two guards, Lin Mu dragged their bodies into the flower bushes, afraid someone might idly find them. If their bodies were discovered, Lin Mu would be in trouble.
After handling everything, Lin Mu looked at the window on the second floor, swiftly leaped up to the window, and slipped into the room like a nimble cat.
There was no one in the room, and it looked as if no one had lived there for a while. Lin Mu entered, glanced left and right, and walked to the door.
With Lin Mu’s hearing, he could easily hear the voices downstairs.
