Chapter 1453 - 1468: Defying Heaven’s Skills
"Come on!" Lin Mu beckoned indifferently.
As he spoke, dozens of Lanzai surrounding him, about forty or fifty, raised their guns, forming an inescapable net. Unless Lin Mu could fly, he would have no escape.
To ordinary people, faced with this setup, they’d probably be scared witless immediately. Unfortunately, Lin Mu was never ordinary and didn’t even furrow a brow.
Seeing the situation, Zhu Ba grinned, "Haha, afraid you’re doomed."
"Oh? Is that so?" Lin Mu was unimpressed, spreading his hands as he said, "But I should remind you, you’re forming a circle. If the bullets miss me, they’ll hit each other instead!"
As Lin Mu said this, the foolish Lanzai seemed to realize, indeed, if they open fire, they’ll surely hit the opposite side. Damn, this realization dawned on them!
So the Lanzai looked at each other, exchanging glances; although their enemy was Lin Mu, he wasn’t wrong.
"Haha, fellows, how about this? Don’t surround me. I’m not going to run; if I wanted to flee, why would I come here in the first place? Don’t you agree?" Lin Mu said, waving his hand. "Come on, your guys move over here, stand together in a line, and then fire simultaneously. That way, you won’t hit each other, right?"
The few Lanzai were bewildered by Lin Mu. They had never seen someone like this, planning his own demise—what a bizarre person!
"What are you standing there dumbfounded for? Hurry up, or do you want to kill each other?" Lin Mu waved his hand, urging.
Of course, the Lanzai had no wish to kill each other. Hearing Lin Mu, for some reason, they quickly gathered together, actually standing in a line as he suggested.
"Haha, now that’s better. Now if you shoot, you won’t hit each other, right? Honestly, you guys are hopelessly dumb, but it’s not entirely your fault; your boss is the real idiot, so you can’t be too clever." Lin Mu said, glancing at the Lanzai.
"Brothers, prepare to fire." Zhu Ba didn’t care anymore; he was utterly humiliated this time, intent on killing Lin Mu. Being toyed with like this was mortifying beyond belief; to restore face, he had to kill Lin Mu.
The Lanzai heard Zhu Ba’s command, made their preparations, then aimed their guns at Lin Mu. Meanwhile, Lin Mu stood before them, arms crossed, utterly fearless—a gesture of sheer contempt!
"Damn, such arrogance—fire, kill him!" Zhu Ba was enraged. He had seen show-offs, but never someone who could flaunt this much. With dozens of guns pointed at him, how could he still be so proud? Who spoiled him to be this arrogant? Zhu Ba couldn’t stand it; he absolutely had to kill Lin Mu.
The Lanzai heard Zhu Ba’s order and didn’t hesitate. Since they were hired by Zhu Ba, they had no qualms about killing, otherwise, they wouldn’t be here.
In the next second, the sound of gunfire erupted without surprise—bang, bang...
Without any warning, gunfire erupted in an instant, countless bullets shot towards Lin Mu, but with a ’whoosh,’ Lin Mu’s figure vanished in a flash, leaving only a barely visible white aura. Of course, it wasn’t actual disappearance—Lin Mu’s speed was so fast, it gave a mysterious impression of vanishing.
The gunfire lasted more than a minute before gradually stopping. When it ceased, Lin Mu’s figure reappeared as if he had never left.
This shocked everyone present, including Zhu Ba—what was going on? Was it a hallucination? This was astonishing beyond belief!
"You, you..." Zhu Ba stared at Lin Mu, unable to believe his eyes, nearly feeling shattered.
"Me, what’s up? Surprised, aren’t you?" Lin Mu chuckled.
"How did you do it?" Zhu Ba asked, looking at Lin Mu.
"Do I need to report to you?" Lin Mu smirked in reply.
"Impossible, I don’t believe you can dodge bullets." Zhu Ba glared at Lin Mu.
"Damn, are you blind? Or brainless? Believe it or not, it’s up to you!" Lin Mu laughed.
"Give me the gun." Zhu Ba demanded, reaching out.
A Lanzai stepped forward, handing Zhu Ba a pistol.
Holding the gun, Zhu Ba glared at Lin Mu, "Today I will not kill him?"
"Alright, come on, brother wants to show you that you’re a blind fool. Come, fire." Lin Mu smirked and beckoned Zhu Ba over. With his skills, Zhu Ba was no match for Lin Mu—not even close, not by a mile.
Holding the gun, Zhu Ba aimed at Lin Mu and fired with a "bang", a bullet shot toward Lin Mu.
Lin Mu’s figure didn’t vanish on the spot but stood there unmoved. Naturally, it wasn’t actual immobility; it was due to his extreme speed, hardly detectable by ordinary people. In reality, the moment the bullet left the chamber, Lin Mu predicted its trajectory with his super Seventh Sense, and simply dodged, his swift movements almost invisible.
Gunfire sounded, but Lin Mu remained stationary. Zhu Ba felt triumphant, thinking this time Lin Mu was doomed.
However, the next second, a scream was heard!
"Ah..."
Everyone was stunned; of course, the agonizing scream didn’t come from Lin Mu, but from Zhu Ba, who stood petrified like he had seen a ghost, as if frozen—his mouth slowly emitted a wisp of Black Qi, and his nose and ears emitted either Black Qi or White Qi simultaneously! His internal organs were shattered by Lin Mu, practically incinerating within him, collapsing like a heap of mud on the ground, though not dead, as Lin Mu still needed to question him.
Clearly, the attack came from Lin Mu, as no one else present could use Black Qi and White Qi to attack an opponent!
"Idiot? I stand here unmoving, yet you can’t hurt me. Now you’re really screwed!" Lin Mu chuckled, folding his arms.
Lin Mu was not in the mood for further chatter; rescuing Haihua was top priority. If Haihua weren’t in their hands, Lin Mu would already have dealt with them.
Lin Mu had many women, but for him, each one was irreplaceable and deeply loved, his Achilles’ heel—anyone who dared harm his women had no reason to live!
