Chloe’s scenes were filmed smoothly, with everyone in the crew intentionally or unintentionally taking care of her. Adding to this was her stunning historical costume appearance, her humble personality, and her strong backing, making her quite popular within the crew.

Director Faust is a decent man, having earned a good reputation in the industry over the years. Working with this crew was rather pleasant, and relations within the team were quite harmonious.

Ever since Constantine’s first day visiting the set, Charles showed up every day for the next week, spending either half the morning or half the afternoon there. Charles just had a cameo role in less than three episodes, yet he remained on set after his scenes were done, watching Chloe film.

Director Faust found it annoying too, not considering the number of fans waiting outside. Plus, many extras were Charles’s fans as well. Didn’t this seriously affect the filming schedule?

But there was no way to drive him away since he’s also one of the investors.

"Chloe, Charles is way too concerned for you, isn’t he? Reporting in every day." After a week of filming, supporting actress Stella Yu had become familiar with Chloe. Taking advantage of a break, she nudged Chloe’s arm, winking and smiling.

She was young and bold; while others might not dare to cling so blatantly, Stella wasn’t bothered at all, joining Chloe whenever she had the time.

On the contrary, Lisa avoided approaching Chloe to prevent suspicion over their relationship, almost never speaking to her. But she happily reported in every day, filming where she had roles, and acting as an extra when she didn’t.

"Is he affecting everyone’s filming?" Chloe’s period had just started these days. She was sipping hot water from a thermos, had a heat patch on her waist, and she was feeling quite warm, even sweating. She was troubled by Charles’s frequent inquiries into her well-being.

"Not at all, not at all! We hope he comes every day. We get afternoon tea every day. I’ve at least gained two pounds lately." Stella held up two fingers, sticking her tongue out and smiling, "Chloe, we’re about the same age, how do you make everyone like you so much?"

Chloe nearly choked on her drink, finding herself overwhelmed by the young girl’s bold enthusiasm.

"I’ll go talk to Charles." She took her thermos, looking for Charles, who was working with his laptop.

Chloe saw him working seriously, transforming from a national idol to a business elite, mature and steady. She blinked her eyes, finding it a bit hard to adapt, leaning closer she whispered, "You don’t have to come every day."

Her sweet fragrance lingered at his nose, making Charles tense all over. He looked up at her historical costume, visually striking, and rasped, "It’s on my way, so I decided to drop by."

Chloe saw the red in his eyes and shook her head firmly, "Starting tomorrow, don’t come. Everyone has their own life; I don’t want to owe you too much."

Charles stiffened, realizing Chloe intended to keep some distance. He couldn’t help but smile bitterly, knowing he’d indeed been crossing boundaries lately. As soon as he heard Constantine visiting, he immediately rushed in to assert himself as her legitimate boyfriend. However, with Constantine not making any moves in a week and Finnian not appearing either, he ended up being the loser.

"Alright, call me if you need anything." Charles wasn’t dumb; he quickly put away his laptop without dragging things out, got up with a slight smile, notified the director, and left.

Seeing him leave, Chloe breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn’t stupid; Charles’s actions were clearly an attempt to turn fiction into reality. But she only wanted to focus on her career and had no interest in dating, let alone a second marriage, for at least three to five years.

"Sister, why did Charles leave?" Little Qiu ran over and asked in surprise.

"Maybe he has something at the company." Chloe saw her sweating and asked in surprise, "What happened? Why are you sweating so much?"

"I just got news that Cyan Rowe is coming to the crew." Little Qiu whispered into her ear, "Cyan Rowe’s endorsements in Paris and frequent high society appearances have made her the top star at Starshine Media. This time, a cast member dropped out from the sixth female role, so Cyan’s agent contacted the director to have her come and guest star."

"Sister, I think she’s targeting you. Should we do something?" Little Qiu asked quietly.

Chloe’s pretty, alluring cat eyes narrowed slightly, feeling a bit annoyed. Cyan really was haunting her. Couldn’t she just enjoy her life as a socialite in France, instead of clinging around her?

"Don’t worry; let her come if she wants." Chloe dropped her gaze calmly.

Cyan probably thought Chloe wouldn’t dare expose her past, so she blatantly approached.

Except, this time, she might find it pointless.

"Sister, why aren’t you worried at all?" Little Qiu was dumbfounded at Chloe’s relaxed expression and smile.

"Because Cyan’s nemesis is also in the crew." Chloe smiled slightly, looking at Lisa’s bustling energy these days.

Lisa was the most astute and clever. Since joining the crew, she borrowed Chloe’s name to scare off the rich merchants she previously offended, broke off completely with her wealthy boyfriend, and now focused seriously on acting. She maintained good relationships with everyone in the crew, and thanks to others’ connections, she landed a supporting role in another show. Her future was secure.

She and Cyan never saw eye to eye since childhood. Seeing Cyan swagger in, wouldn’t she tear apart that fake facade of hers?

Cyan arrived at the crew in the afternoon, accompanied by her Starshine Media VIP vehicle, two assistants, four bodyguards, and her agent, causing quite a stir among the crew.

Director Faust was filming a scene between the male and female leads, and since no one called him, he hadn’t noticed Cyan had arrived.

Cyan wore an expensive, new fall dress from her endorsement and sported sophisticated makeup. Seeing the director filming, she found Chloe reading a script, bringing her entourage aggressively over.

"Chloe, Cyan is here." Stella Yu was resting nearby since she had no scenes today. Seeing Cyan with such grandeur, she quickly tugged Chloe’s sleeve to alert her.

Chloe didn’t even lift her eyes and continued reading her script.

"Chloe, long time no see." Cyan remarked coldly.

Nearby, Yugo frowned and said, "These young girls sure love acting grand, not even greeting seniors."

Taking sly jabs at Chloe.

Stella Yu overheard and frowned, retorting with a smirk, "Cyan isn’t any senior. No works to her name, no status, relying solely on the red carpet to stay relevant and daring to call herself a senior? Between us, Chloe is the real senior."

Yugo’s face turned dark with indignation.

The commotion didn’t disrupt the director, but other actors taking a break noticed. Lisa had just finished her scene as an extra, and seeing Cyan, old and new childhood grievances boiled over. Without worrying about getting changed, she wiped her face and stepped forward smiling, "Cyan, how did you become a big star? I’m Lisa! Remember me from when we grew up together?"

Cyan had always portrayed herself as an heiress and socialite, most afraid of having her past unearthed. Seeing a sudden extra call her by her old name, she was terrified and turned pale.
