The secretary had been told by Patricia to "stop surveillance no more," but it would still be due to his depth of caution that he was keeping an extra eye on Hikaru for five days.

But in the end, they had nothing to gain from just living the way they always do.

That's how we finally stopped the surveillance.

"--Ah, Master Hikaru, welcome home"

"Yeah. I'm sorry, but will you open the door?

"Yes ~"

Three nights after the surveillance was gone —— Hikaru was alone, coming back from the outside.

When Paula opened the door, Hikaru came into the room with enough metal boxes to hold her with both hands. Doesn't seem like it's so heavy.

Its surface was dirty with mud and the metal part was corrosive. It just wasn't until it looked like a pretty thick metal and the hole was empty.

"Hikaru, could it be that"

"Oh."

Lavia stood up by closing the book she was about to read. Hikaru slowly carries the box to the table where she is.

"I found it, King Allegro's 'true treasure'"

Ha, and breathtaking, Lavia sees Paula. Paula was also staring seriously at the box.

Hikaru dropped a lot of dirt when he put the box down with Don, but nobody cares.

"Well... shall we open it?

"Yeah. Come on, I want to see it"

"That's unusual, Lavia's excited"

"Because the legend of treasure I've read in many stories before is right in front of me!

When Hikaru takes out the knife and inserts it into the gap in the metal box, one side opens it while making a noise that it should be, but it's hard and not that easy.

"I'm sorry I made you struggle all the time with Hikaru"

"Uh, it was often dirty, so I don't know if I could just leave it to Lavia or Paula"

Paula says as she looks sideways at Hikaru's work.

"Nevertheless, when Hikaru first chose parchment instead of 2 million guillans, he seemed surprised."

"You couldn't even afford to explain it over there. I can't help but notice that that parchment itself (...) was a demon prop."

When he first saw the wording of the poem, Hikaru realized that "this is a cryptographic indication of the presence of treasure".

I felt magic leaking out of parchment because I kept using "Magic Detection," and I also "intuited" that I would need this "parchment" itself to get real treasure.

Then all you have to do is get parchment -- throw away 2 million guillans and get parchment, which is hard.

Because they suspect what's going on.

"I'm glad I kept my look clean. I wouldn't have looked like an adventurer."

"Thanks to you we were thought to be 'just playing adventurers'. So I want parchment, and they didn't really suspect me... do they?

"Yeah."

"But Master Hikaru. How dare the Patricians give up?"

"Well. I was in a hurry when I first saw the altar, but it's really well done... harassment (...),"

It was the first time we headed to King Allegro's home in Cape Zerze. Hikaru also found an altar at the end of the cave, just like the investigation team.

So,

--Wow, you've already been dug up!

I guess it makes sense in a way.

"But that was the trap, wasn't it? 'I don't have any more treasures. Give it up,' he said. Sometimes a cave like that happens to be found by someone. I'm guessing you've been working on that."

Even humans who stumble upon a cave are tempted to find "meaning" there if there is a cave in a strange place.

But if there are signs that I have already dug up, signs of vandalism, I think "there is no treasure here any more", as is often the case.

It's an even easier trap to catch if you're the person who brought the treasure map.

Hikaru was annoyed that he might have left a small fortune behind. Although such history was not in the past to the extent that Hikaru and the others looked for it.

Once discovered, there is a "clue to a new treasure" in the "treasure stash".

"But Master Hikaru focused on the word 'poetry collection'... right?

"Yeah. It's a single poem that was in the treasure chest, and that's just weird to say 'poetry book'. I mean, there's a continuation..."

He stopped his hand to open the box and removed the rounded parchment from his nostrils and put it on the table.

"At that point I hadn't even used this magic prop that came out of the treasure chest yet. That's why it's strange to find treasure just in words, and it's a big recap."

A new poem had been added to the margin of parchment paper found from the parchment paper placed on the table -- "King Allegro's Treasure Box".

Not even three.

"That day, the morning sun plugged in... and when you hit the parchment there, the letters came up, didn't they? If you don't look closely, there was a magic trick planted in that little window in the cave."

Then Hikaru and the others unravel the letters that emerged —— hints to the next clue that made it look like poetry.

With surveillance eyes, it was minimal to go to the library, and then at night Hikaru went out on his own to that "clueless place" with a "secret" while doing the Adventurer Guild request.

Repeat that and finally —— today, I got to the real thing.

Hikaru resumed the task of opening the box, but then it didn't take much longer.

"It's time to open up...... dude!

As Hikaru glanced inside, both Lavia and Paula came forward.

"Box?"

It's a box.

There —— with a small amount of soil, there was a small box.

They look the same as "King Allegro's Treasure Box" but they are about two times smaller in size.

However, there are no jewels in the box.

When that box that Hikaru took out was placed on the table,

"Ooh."

Lavia leaked an exclamation and Paula applauded.

The red on the surface is a lot of discoloration, but the brilliance of the gemstone is not compromised - though it is well covered in sand and dust.

"I'll open it."

When Hikaru reached out, the box easily opened.

There was one parchment and —— a lot of gems.

It shines a bright, blurry light in the light of the room.

"Wow..."

Unexpectedly, Lavia raises her voice in such a way.

Paula was freezing without a voice, to say the least. Maybe he just didn't think it was in this far.

The diamond in the middle is about the size of a grip.

This is what Hikaru wrote on the parchment in his hand.

Poems/Final Allegro-Sandrova-Acación

Light spills out of this hand, something that will never dull again.

Shaped light is nasty, but without shapes, we can't get light.

The lights of my life will run out.

If you will, the light won't last forever.

————————

"... the 'end' of the poem, so now you really mean the end"

Hikaru takes one of the gems and sees it watermarked by a light. It was transparent, but no magic reaction, it was just a gem.

"Was it worth the hard work......?

"Too much"

"Soot, soot, soot. Wow!

"One or two of you, if you like it, I'll keep it? I don't think you'll get a chance to get such a big jewel."

Then Lavia and Paula exchanged their gazes.

"I won't let that happen."

"Me too, fine. It's so awesome... and Hikaru found it acting almost alone."

"Really? You don't have to hesitate. I found something in the library that you two went through together."

"Not in my case... is this what was in King Allegro's grave? I don't feel very comfortable wearing it."

"Ah... yeah, right"

Indeed.

Hikaru didn't say, but what this box had was a place like an underground spiritual temple. Behind a secluded forest, hidden with demonic props.

The box was buried next to the mummified body.

(But hey... what this last poem means)

The last poem of King Allegro, "Shaped light is nagging, but without shapes light cannot be obtained".

I think this would mean "the light of a gem is more than the light emitted by man, but man cannot live without such a gem (i.e. money)".

(I want you to use it, you can also take it. Well, "If you wish, the light won't last forever"... the meaning of "use it for gold and be meaningful" seems stronger.)

King Allegro slept alone —— maybe he was a lonely person.

That's why I wanted to entrust it to the wise, even if it leaves private property... I think that's what Hikaru is saying.

"But more than that."

When I was having a hard time with that, Lavia continued.

"For I am more pleasant and glad to be with Hikaru than to wear expensive things. Switch all of this for money and use it for fun."

Yes, Hikaru can't say any more when told straight.

Instead, it lit him up.

"Master Hikaru's mouth is sloppy......! The destructive power of Lavia's words. Awesome!

"Shut up. Lavia's cute, that's all."

It was Hikaru who decided to convert it all into money.

In the end, this gem was to be sold to its representatives using the Bandit Guild —— Pound's Kelbeck Tste.

The total value is 250 million guillans.

Now Hikaru thought the immediate activity was reassuring.
