The air of the room crackled with a tension charged with mystery, like a curtain that slowly rose to present an absolutely strange theatrical work.

It was a great opportunity.

The game advanced constantly and the only factor that could equate itself with one’s own strengthening was the knowledge that different NPCs could deliver. An invaluable wealth difficult to obtain.

Gabriel accessed rapidly, understanding that there was no turning back. He had hit the nail on the head, on a key point that enveloped Edward’s own character.

He did not stop to feign lack of interest or extremely refined manners to please him and in that way obtain more information. With sudden steps, he was face to face.

He had occupied a seat that was no longer strange to him. Where the most confusing and dark conversations with Edward had reproduced.

"Old man, what is happening to you?" He said with a firm voice, making eye contact. They had cultivated a relationship close enough so that that audacity would not turn out out of place.

"You do not understand. You understand nothing! Absolutely nothing!" He suddenly vociferated, with the eyes speckled by crimson lines.

His expression revealed a euphoria enveloped in fear. A frenzy provoked by the darkest fear that awaited a soul.

"This is only the prelude. My God, what awaits us? We are lost." He said with his voice losing force.

Gabriel struck the table suddenly, rising from the table and threatening to leave: "If we are really lost, I will leave. We cannot trust in hopelessness."

His tone of voice had adopted a dark note, but at the same time he had not totally abandoned hope.

Observing the broad back of the young man who was leaving, the dark eyes red as blood of the old man recovered a certain degree of rationality.

"Not everything is lost. But we are lost," answered the aged voice. On his face a history of years and years was written.

"Only answer me one thing: Can you kill a God?"

Gabriel’s posture tensed before the audacious proposal, slowly denying with the head.

"With time." He finally responded.

With patience he had begun to assemble the confusing puzzle that extended before him. A long time ago he had guessed the future direction of the video game, until the gods of a very ancient mythology.

Who, for some unknown reason, had died.

Forgotten and trampled under the weight of history, being hermetically sealed from public knowledge. Only clandestine and heretical organizations survived.

"Fool, fool! The ancient texts relate that fortune belongs to the bold. In contrast, time belongs to the Gods," said the old man clenching his teeth. "What time do you need? What time do we need? What will we do when their gazes again settle, with hunger and destruction?!"

In the brevity of a moment, the old man had gone mad again. Sharing disconnected and barely coherent phrases. His appearance was again falling to bestialism.

With a rapid movement of hands, Gabriel recovered an object from his personal inventory. He lit a flame in his hand, that rapidly converted into a great flame.

It was an inflammable gadget that he kept for his expeditions in dark and damp dungeons.

"Damned crazy! What the fuck do you think you are doing?! You are going to provoke a damned fire, there are many objects susceptible to fire." Shouted Edward, losing the stirrups. For the first time he had abandoned any degree of decency and etiquette, without the madness affecting him.

"I will blow this damned place if you do not calm yourself, old man. The two of us will suffer a terrible violent death being devoured by the worst fire that will touch your aged bones." Said Gabriel, disposed to suffer his first death.

"Put it out already." Responded Edward with the somber expression. "Damned crazy bastard."

When the fire disappeared, he finally could rest his aged shoulders on the chair. Sighing from relief, at not having to deal with a kamikaze movement so maddened.

"Who is the crazy one? You or I?" he asked.

"In fact, it is you." Answered Gabriel, ignoring that he had almost exploded the shop into a thousand pieces.

"The Prophet of the Valley of the Bones, have you ever heard about him." Said Edward, moving the hands nervously. "Some call him prophet and others shaman."

"I have never heard about him."

"You should have done it if you are so curious, idiot. He was the one who predicted these facts, the Twilight of the Gods!"

Gabriel returned the gaze, doubting his following words. But even so he said them.

"What is the Twilight of the Gods?"

The old man, aged by the latest events, brought a strong slap to the forehead. Looking at his young companion as an idiot.

"Listen with attention: this is the prophecy engraved in the most ancient texts in my possession." Said with somber tone the old man, looking at the walls with suspicion.

In times of prosperity, a giant of fortune will awaken. The north and the south will change, plunging the extensive land into terrible wars.

From the earth will arise colossi of stone that claim for blood and liberation, the divine mansions, the highest mounts and their sacred mountains.

The Twilight of the Gods is an announced event. Just as God the Father, maddened by his immemorial rage, covered the earth of his rarity; his minions will be reborn, cultivated under the same frenzy.

It was a prophecy delivered under an epic narration and with a dark language.

Although he tried to understand it, his mind remained blank in several of its passages. Only the colossi of stone seemed sufficiently familiar.

"The noble and humble stock that populated the legendary valley of the bones finally disappeared, after their last descendant disappeared." Continued Edward, returning to a distant past for a few brief seconds. "I trust that you will understand the importance of this message. The collapse of humanity."

"I... Will try to understand it." Responded Gabriel, with complicated eyes.

The true history finally unfolded before his eyes, but it was still too confusing to present a clear panorama.

The mysteries still buried themselves deeply in the earth.

"Now leave." Said Edward with a pessimistic tone of voice. "I have things to do."

Gabriel said goodbye with a light movement of the head, abandoning the alchemy shop in silence.

Blaspheme against the Gods.
