The Villager Who Grew Up Drinking Elixir Fountain

11: I'd love to see you someday.

The place the officials taught me was a little resting spot for animals and demons. Surrounded by secluded trees and rocks, beautiful water gushes from between.

Slime was resting and the wild rabbit was resting, but when I saw Sheila, I quickly escaped.

"I'm not gonna knock you down."

But, well, it's not wrong that it's good luck to run away when you see people.

Slime, in particular, is great as a demon that a runaway adventurer makes a practice opponent. If you're drinking water and they knock you down, it's not a hoarding thing.

"Well, it's a beautiful spring water... do you have any windine or family members?

I'll just look around, but it doesn't look like it.

It's strange that there's a stable nature so far, but no spirits. I try to tilt my neck wondering why, but unfortunately I don't know the answer to that.

- That's weird.

The Spirit is extinct, I can't believe it.

That can't be happening.

"There's no way you can use spiritual magic without spirits. Is something wrong...?

Exactly, though it could have been extinct if Spirit Magic had become unusable.

Worried about what to do, Sheila decided to ask the Spirit directly. Sheila can summon directly because she has a covenant with each Spirit.

It's a necklace, a water summons stone.

Touching it with her fingertips, Sheila calls her quietly, but with a powerful voice.

"Come here, [Windine]!

- Sheila.

"Oh, good. I could call it right."

It was the Spirit of Water Windine who showed up before Sheila.

Long hair, clear skin. The Spirit, who praised everyone for his beauty, looked at Sheila with clear eyes - but soon, he dismissed the appearance.

"What!?"

Windine, who should have just been there, is gone. I open my eyes to surprise, but I immediately think what the hell is going on.

Never before has the Spirit disappeared like this.

"Not enough power for the Spirit to maintain his appearance?

Stick, tilt your neck.

That didn't happen around my village, but this one's area may be special.

It would be nice if the power of spiritual magic were weakened because it is hard, but not a journey to fight otherwise. Though, of course, I've never done anything powerful considering the possibility of encountering demons.

"Yeah, but if you can't call the Spirit, it's hard to find herbs..."

Sheila had always asked the spirits to help her collect herbs, etc. I wanted to collect more herbs because they will be money in the future... but I can't help it. Find it on your own.

In the meantime, Sheila thought lightly that it was okay because I still have the money now.

◇ ◇ ◇

Back at the inn, the Lupicas were already home.

Is that so?

"Mr. Sheila! Where have you been until this late hour!

"Oh, I'm sorry..."

Sheila can be hugged by Lupica, who tells her she's worried.

That should be it, too. It was still bright when I went out, but it was getting longer than I expected because I went to see the spring water outside the village. I got a little lost on my way home, keep it to myself.

Claus opens his mouth so as to calm Lupica like that.

"Well, well, you were safe, okay! Let's make it dinner."

"Klarth is my pace..."

Go to the dining room, which is co-located on the ground floor of the inn, and have dinner for all.

Seeing Claus drink ale like dandruff water by herself, Sheila laughs bitterly that everywhere grownups are with her...

Speaking of which, Sheila decided to ask about the Spirit, chatting nonchalantly.

Even if the average person doesn't know, if she's a brave man or a Virgin, she's likely to know something. Lupica also hears he's a pretty powerful wizard around here.

"I asked the villagers, I was just wondering"

"Is there something wrong?

"The Spirit is extinct..."

"Oh, is it the Spirit? I hear you were there a long time ago, but now you don't hear that kind of talk. I hear there was some legendary magic called spiritual magic, but there's very little literature right now."

Lupica laughs, though it often comes out in the books of Ogga.

"Hmm?

- I mean, after all, there's no spirits around here?

When Sheila tilts her neck, Maria and Alf also agree with Lupica.

"Neither have I met the Spirit. I've met many wizards and researchers, but even if some people are studying spiritual magic - no one has actually met any humans or spirits they can use."

"I've never seen it either."

"Does Sheila want to see the Spirit?

"Huh?"

Sheila tries to inquire about Lupica.

Kids say most kids want to see the Spirit once, either from the influence of a picture book or something. Of course, that's no exception to Lupica or Maria.

If you say you want to see the Spirit or not, of course you are determined to want to see him. Although you'll probably normally see the spirits back in the village - I don't plan on going back to the village for a while.

In the meantime, Sheila nods as a means of affirmation.

"Sure, it would be nice to see the Spirit"

"Right. I'd like to see you, too."

That's what Maria and Alf say and say like a joke about wanting to go on a spirit-seeking journey just like this.

"Here, Maria. If you do that, it'll annoy a lot of people."

"I know, Lupica. But I don't know about spirits... I don't want to see them for once."

"That's me, too. But they don't exist anymore?

Like a dream girl, Maria tells with a grumpy look.

Conversely, Lupica says she doesn't have time for that. I'm willing to see you, but I can't afford to be realistically looking for spirits.

Seeing the two of us talking about that, Sheila would love to see the Spirit, too.

- If I could summon you, I would have let you see the Spirit.

Too bad.

With that in mind, Sheila included dessert fruit in her mouth.
