Chapter 341: Blessed Child [2]
Standing a few feet away from Noah, I observed the guy in silence as the mana sword was still being materialised in his hands.
In the sky above, the clouds rumbled with rage as nature provided more of its mana to the blessed child in order to gear him up.
I didn’t interrupt the process, letting it play out on its own.
The students and instructors who had arrived at the scene were now whispering amongst themselves, most likely talking about the sword in my hand.
Using my mana, I was easily able to hear their conversations, as none of them were trying to actively hide their words.
Still, no one tried to stop me, as two of the senior-most instructors, mainly Zenur and Elsa, were close to me.
Noah, on his part, still had his gaze fixed on me, with an easily visible hatred in his eyes.
With all the events that had happened today, he must have been thinking of himself as some main character.
Well, he was indeed a main character, but... that was in the game, not here, and not in my presence.
Lightning lit up the dark sky once again, as more clouds converged above Noah’s head, supplying the guy with the necessary mana to fully materialise his ability.
Honestly, Noah would become quite the monster than he already was after having his ability awakened.
I had a decent idea of the ability from the game, but now that many variables had arisen since my time in this world, I could no longer depend on any sort of outdated information.
There was a chance that the powers which had been granted to Noah while using the mana sword in the game could very well be amplified, or else new powers could now become a part of him.
Powers that could very well be more monstrous than their predecessors.
Seeing me waiting in silence, a small frown appeared on Noah’s face, which was followed by hints of confusion in his eyes.
I could understand his thoughts, as the guy might have felt that I would, if not scared then at least be cautious of his new powers, and would try to disrupt his awakening.
The repulsion and disgust that the world felt towards me might have very well now been embedded in Noah’s own soul.
And that meant... the guy should now have an idea that I too was aware of what the world felt towards me, after all, nature wouldn’t keep its child in darkness and make him an ignorant fool.
So even after knowing that he could very well fight to kill me, and his powers would only grow stronger after the materialisation of his original ability... why wasn’t I attacking him?
At least that must have been the question in the protagonist’s mind, not that I could be sure of it.
Still, I didn’t interrupt him.
The pest had every right to crawl in its hole before trying to fight me.
***
Leon had heard the reports of there being a fight between Victoria and Noah, the newly appointed first-year student council representative.
Such a fight between the members of the student council could be seen as a sign of weak authority and control over the council by the student council president, which was why Leon had rushed to the scene the moment he had received the report.
But by the time he had reached the area where the fight took place, the disciplinary committee members had surrounded the entire area under the orders of the disciplinary committee head, Ashlyn Levaith.
Now, although Leon was the president of the council, he still had to respect Ashlyn’s decision as she was the head of the top major committee in the student council.
That led to Leon having to meet Ashlyn in order to get to know the situation in a better way, and ask her for the reason behind sealing the area.
And that had delayed him from stopping the fight before Noah had begun to evolve his core during the clash.
The instructors too had arrived at the scene, and on the orders of Instructor Zenur, everyone was on standby, not trying to interrupt whatever spell that student Noah was executing.
The clouds kept rumbling in the sky, and a huge pillar of mana had emerged from Noah before connecting itself to the epicentre of the clouds above.
From what Leon had learned, it was Kael who had advised against interfering in the battle, and now the guy could be seen walking towards Noah, with a sword in his hand.
Instructor Zenur and Instructor Elsa were already behind him, but none of them tried to stop Kael, which confused Leon to a greater extent.
The treatment that Kael was currently getting was like he owned the academy and had no need to abide by its rules.
Why else would he be so bold as to take out a sword right in front of all the instructors?
Leon knew about Kael’s close relationship with the headmaster, but even that could not justify his current behaviour.
Though it wasn’t like Leon was against Kael.
On the contrary, the more he thought about Kael, the more the kid interested him.
At present, Kael’s power might have been limited to being a Silver 3, but anyone with a decent understanding of cultivation would know that within a year or two Kael would grow on to become a monster unlike the world had ever seen.
Not that he wasn’t a monster at the moment.
Being a royal himself, Leon knew better than what going against the tide was.
There was no need for him to be against the kid, but that didn’t mean that he had to go easy on him.
If the rules were broken, as the president of the student council, it was his duty to punish the culprits no matter who they were.
Looking at Noah and Kael, who were currently engaged in a staring contest, with some sort of colourful sword being materialised in the former’s hand... Leon was going to make sure that proper judgement was passed on Noah for initiating a fight against the vice president of the council, and if by any chance Kael fought Noah today... he would be punished too.
The headmaster couldn’t continue to keep protecting Kael if the president of the academy was against it.
And Leon wasn’t some random president but also the heir to one of the major ruling families of the vampires.
His words couldn’t be ignored, even if it was a Sovereign on the other end.
