’Hm?’

Kael’s words, which were closer to a whisper, were clearly audible to everyone in the area, as that was what Kael had been aiming for.

Noah’s heightened senses allowed him to sense the use of mana in Kael’s voice, yet he couldn’t understand why the latter would whisper if he wanted everyone to hear him.

Though Noah was confused, it wasn’t like he could keep quiet.

That would be, in a sense, a sort of defeat before Kael, or at least that had been Noah’s mentality from the start.

"Hate you...? I abhor you."

Noah scoffed before once again concentrating on his core, which continued to increase its rank.

The layer of mana that had surrounded it had now become denser than before.

Noah could feel the third mana ring forming around his core, increasing his rank to Gold 3.

A new surge of untested power roared through his core, making Noah wince with pain.

A new ring forming in a matter of seconds wasn’t something that could have been a blissful process.

Pain raged within Noah, but he stood his ground, as the vortex of mana behind him enlarged itself before absorbing more mana from nature and transferring it to the mana sword.

Kael, on his part, had a small smirk on his face, which was visible to none.

"I think your ability is putting a strain on your body... you should stop before it’s too late."

Kael’s words, filled with unmatched sincerity, echoed in the air, as every person standing at the scene, be it Noah, the instructors, or students, heard him with crystal clarity.

"He is right. Your body still hasn’t adapted to your new rank."

Zenur, seeing the events before him, had no choice but to intervene.

He could see that Noah was using his new ability to somehow increase the rank of his core.

Even if the increase in the core’s rank was a temporary thing, Zenur knew that Noah’s body, however durable it might have been, was currently under immense stress due to having just recently evolved to the Gold core.

The core ranks were divided into three classes as per the qualitative as well as the quantitative change that occurred after advancing to a new class.

Iron, Bronze, and Silver cores were in the lower class of the core ranks.

Here each class was accompanied by some qualitative increase in mana along with a reasonable quantitative increase in the mana at the disposal of the individual.

After evolving to the Gold core, one advanced to the intermediate class of mana, where the increase in rank was also accompanied by a qualitative improvement in the physique of the given individual.

Gold, Platinum, and Diamond cores were the three intermediate core ranks, each one accompanied by a qualitative and quantitative boost in mana, as well as the improvement of one’s physique in order to be able to handle the level of mana that was available at the disposal of individuals with intermediate mana cores.

At the highest point in the hierarchy of classes were the three core ranks that were part of the Godly class.

Immortal, Sovereign, and Divine were the ranks which granted one the power equivalent to the Gods, as individuals with these ranks were able to influence the world with a monstrous control over it.

Then there was the rank of a Mythical.

Nothing was known about it, at least to the general populace, and even to those who had the knowledge about the Godly class.

The rank of a Mythical was a myth in itself.

Advancing to the first core rank in the intermediate class, Noah’s body had been greatly reformed from within, and that was why it was unable to support the use of an original ability on the scale which Noah was using it at.

Noah frowned as he had wanted to refute Kael’s words of senseless worry, but Zenur’s addition to it stopped him from saying anything reckless.

Though that didn’t deter the protagonist from expanding his power as the fourth and final ring of the Gold rank was formed around Noah’s core.

A new wave of mana surged through his body, making Noah groan in return.

Zenur, seeing that Noah had no interest in being stopped, ended his persuasion as he was under orders to simply observe everything without interfering in it.

It was due to Kael’s words that gave Zenur some leeway in the headmaster’s orders, but Noah having refused his advice... there was nothing that Zenur could do to change the turn of events.

Still, Zenur was relieved that Kael hadn’t been here to provoke Noah but was simply worried about the latter.

Knowing Kael, even if only on the surface, it wouldn’t have been surprising for the Frost to engage Noah in a battle only because the commoner had said some unruly words about abhorring Kael.

Though Zenur found Noah’s choice of words interesting, as the guy genuinely felt the intense emotion of hatred from the depths of his soul, despite not knowing Kael for a long time.

The bald instructor had the feeling that the hatred had something to do with Noah’s original ability, but there was no way for him to confirm his suspicions.

Noah, on his part, didn’t stop even after reaching Gold 4.

More mana surged through him, and the protagonist felt as if he could step into the next rank without any worry.

But that was what his mind told him... his body, on the other hand, began to tremble from the stress that was put onto it due to the excessive surge in power, which still wasn’t directed in the right way.

But Noah cared for none of it.

He had no thoughts of stopping, and so the mana obeyed his command, as the vortex of mana behind him grew to nearly a few metres in radius, and not only that, but many other small vortices of mana began to form around Noah, making it appear like some new portals were being formed in the air.

The instructors couldn’t help but worry about whatever the commoner student was trying to do, but they were powerless to interfere as Zenur hadn’t ordered them to do anything.

His silence was an order in itself.
