Chapter 93 - 94: Felix York’s Toxin Flares Up

The days passed one by one. Though the new year had just ended, Sophie Wexler was incredibly busy, her schedule packed to the brim.

Sophie Wexler had become a massive hit on Karath. Anyone who logged onto the StarNet would see news about her.

Countless potential partners flocked to her, scrambling to buy the rights to her songs and negotiate all sorts of collaborations. They were afraid that if they were a step too late, Sophie Wexler would leave for The Capital Planet.

Sophie Wexler was in a whirlwind of activity. Fulfilling a promise to her fans, she even found the time to host two offline events. They were so popular that people wished they had eight arms just to get a ticket.

After she finished with all that, nearly a month had passed. Sophie Wexler paid another visit to the Seventh Legion.

However, the atmosphere at the Seventh Legion today felt a little off.

Someone’s eyes lit up upon seeing Sophie Wexler, and they walked excitedly toward her. "Miss Wexler, this is great! You’re here. We were just about to look for you."

"What’s wrong?" Sophie Wexler asked, confused.

"Quick, come with me, Miss Wexler." The person led Sophie Wexler in a specific direction as they spoke. "Our General is having a reaction to the Starbug toxin!" Their voice was filled with anxiety.

’What?!’ She had never heard that General York had been poisoned by a Starbug.

It wasn’t just her. To be precise, no one in the entire Seventh Legion knew.

Felix York had told no one that he was poisoned by a Starbug, fearing that someone with ulterior motives would find out and exploit the information, or even cause instability among the troops.

So, it wasn’t until this flare-up that it became known.

The moment they found out, their first thought was of Sophie Wexler. And just as they were about to contact her, she arrived.

To the members of the Seventh Legion, it was like seeing a lifeline.

They hurried all the way to the medical bay.

A crowd of people stood outside the door, anxiety etched on every face. When they saw Sophie Wexler, they all called out, "Miss Wexler," and quickly cleared a path for her.

"Miss Wexler, you have to save our General," one person said, their eyes filled with worry.

The Seventh Legion wasn’t always called the Seventh Legion. It used to be just a ragtag team. It was Felix York who organized, restructured, and trained them, leading them step-by-step to where they are today. He turned them into the Seventh Legion, a force that earned its own name among The Empire’s countless armies.

This was all thanks to Felix York.

Sophie Wexler gave a solemn nod. "Don’t worry, I will."

With that, she pushed the door open and went inside.

The moment she entered, she was hit by the spiritual power flooding the entire medical bay.

The spiritual power was completely out of control, spreading wantonly and carrying an extremely intense, oppressive feeling.

All the Medical Masters in the room had activated their Spirit Barriers, but they still couldn’t withstand it. Every one of them was pale, with large beads of sweat rolling down their faces as they gritted their teeth to hold on.

When they saw Sophie Wexler, it was as if they saw a glimmer of hope. "Miss Wexler."

Sophie Wexler’s Spiritual Sea felt the pressure as well. She released her spiritual power to activate her own barrier. Even though she was already SS-class, she could still feel the strain.

Her gaze shifted to the numbers on the machine. Just as she expected, Felix York’s Spiritual Power Level had reached SSS.

’No wonder.’

On the treatment bed, Felix York was completely unconscious. His Spiritual Sea was in turmoil. If the Medical Masters weren’t desperately trying to treat him, his Spiritual Sea would have likely already collapsed.

"What’s the situation now?" Sophie Wexler asked, doing her best to remain calm.

"This is the first we’ve heard of the General being poisoned by a Starbug. He must have been suppressing it with his spiritual power all this time," explained a nearby Medical Master who knew the inside story.

"He went on a mission a couple of days ago and unexpectedly took a hit to his Spiritual Sea. With his Spiritual Sea damaged, he could no longer suppress the toxin, and that’s why it’s like this now."

"Our current Levels are too low. The General’s spiritual power is completely out of control, so we can’t enter his Spiritual Sea at all."

"However, based on our assessment, there isn’t much toxin in the outer regions."

In other words, the toxin was deep within Felix York’s Spiritual Sea.

Sophie Wexler lowered her gaze. "I understand."

"I’ll try," Sophie Wexler said. "But there’s one thing I need to ask of you."

"Please, tell us, Miss Wexler," someone next to her immediately replied.

"Tell Cillian Forrest that I’m here."

’He should understand what I mean.’

She often came to the Seventh Legion to help with spiritual power soothing. It was a common occurrence, not something she’d specially announce to anyone.

’If I’m telling him, then something must have happened.’

Felix York was the General of the Seventh Legion. If something were to happen to him, no one could guarantee what the consequences would be. She hoped Cillian would tell Ethan Cross about this.

After all, Ethan Cross was from the First Legion, and he was Cillian’s superior.

If she was right, Cillian Forrest’s military rank couldn’t be low, which meant Ethan Cross’s would be even higher.

’With them here, the situation should be more stable.’

After giving her instructions, Sophie Wexler couldn’t spare a thought for anything else and quickly unfurled her spiritual power.

She directed it toward Felix York.

His Spiritual Sea was in complete chaos, his spiritual power surging uncontrollably.

Sophie Wexler infused her own spiritual power into him. The outer regions were relatively easy. As her spiritual power spread, the rampaging energy quickly calmed down.

Next came the task of clearing the toxin, bit by bit.

The room was utterly silent, save for the constant hum of the machines monitoring Felix York’s condition. Everyone held their breath, afraid of disturbing her.

As time passed, Sophie Wexler’s spiritual power delved deeper, and the process of soothing and clearing began to slow down.

Sophie Wexler did her best to channel her spiritual power for the cleansing, but the deeper the toxin, the longer it had accumulated, and the harder it was to remove.

Just as Sophie Wexler was about to push deeper, the spiritual power in the inner part of Felix York’s Spiritual Sea suddenly erupted. Alarm shot through her.

’It’s over,’ she thought. ’I’ve used up too much of my spiritual power. I don’t think I can suppress it.’

Just then, a Crystal Stone was placed in her palm. Sophie Wexler looked up to see Cillian Forrest standing beside her, with Ethan Cross not far away.

Seeing Sophie Wexler look at him, Cillian Forrest said, "Don’t worry. There’s no chaos outside. You can continue."

Sophie Wexler nodded. "Okay."

’I knew Cillian would understand what I meant.’

Finally, under Sophie Wexler’s soothing influence, the eruption of Felix York’s spiritual power slowly subsided.

The toxin didn’t spread any further. To be more precise, Felix York’s own spiritual power had managed to suppress the toxin once more.

Sure enough, when Sophie Wexler looked up, she saw that Felix York had opened his eyes.

"General York, you’re awake!" Sophie Wexler exclaimed softly.

The moment he regained consciousness, Felix York suppressed the toxin. Seeing the crowd of people beside him, he instantly understood the situation.

He let out a soft sigh. His gaze lingered on Cillian Forrest for a moment before turning to Sophie Wexler, his voice weak. "Miss Wexler, I’ve troubled you all."

He had misjudged this time. He never expected his Spiritual Sea to be damaged, causing the toxin to spiral out of control and lead to the current crisis.
