Reykha's report was information carried by a Knights patrol.

He said he discovered a large number of Schulz tribes about two days south of Philsand, on horses.

Reykha said 'large groups' because they were mostly non-combatants such as women, children, the elderly and peasants, not a group of troops or warriors (though I don't think they are treated like animals). That's the size of over a thousand people, and they say it's moving slowly toward fillsand.

"Refugees, is it?

"You don't get it. What is the Duke going to do?

I will whine somewhat about the words associated with it from the information I have heard, but there will be no answer here.

"You stink."

The warrior of the warring clan, whose shadow was completely thin here, the rade groaned blushly.

The next day.

I was summoned by the Duke to face the Command Office of the Knights.

"It's been a hassle. The Schulz have apparently been chased and run away by the Dark One."

The Duke is the most open-minded such thing.

I thought this was a consultation about dealing with the Schulds.

It seems that the intuition of the rade can be relied upon as far as things are concerned about the dark.

A ghost, a ghost. I was looking at a ghost attacked settlement before I arrived in Philsand, so I thought this might happen... but I still don't like the nasty stuff.

"Margils thought," Second condition, "and now it's been on the shelf for a while."

"... that's what a demon is. No matter all human history, convenience or future, just show up, just kill and disappear"

When Crawla shrugged in remorse, she was returning words that Rade had understood. His words are heavy, having fought long since he was born into a clan destined to fight the dark.

A ghost is such a disaster to this world (Sedia).

And, if so. It is the work of the Great Wizard from here on.

"The scout reports that the Dark Legion (Legion) is further south than the Barbarians. Looks like they're moving straight in the direction of Phil Sandwich, but it's unclear if they're just chasing the barbarians or if this is our target."

"... what's the scale?

"The scouts report that there are about five thousand little ghosts. Hundreds of giant ghosts. Five rock ghosts. The hell with super huge darkness I've never seen more. He's headed straight for Philsand."

""... eh ""

The pale Duke's voice blued the face-to-face complexion gathered in the command room.

By the way, the member is the Duke, his second son Agbail. To the Commander of the Knights, to the Sorcerers of the Court, to the generals of the Regular Army, to the ranks of the Lords below the Chancellor.

"What's our strength?

"Ha. There are eight hundred Knights. The Regular Army will be 2,000 if you summon the militia in a hurry."

I guess I can't even afford to be offended by this one who carelessly asks, a general instructed by the Duke with his jaw reported to me in discipline.

"You were on the back of alerting the barbarians to the raids to disperse the knights and the army. Gather the whole army and we'll get another thousand, but it'll take time."

"Philsand and Ganyi Castle are not allowed to fall into 5,000 or 6,000 darknesses."

The Knights emphasised to the ideological Duke. The voice is stiff but quite powerful. Indeed, the city walls and rigid castles of Philsand are much heavier than those of the city of Lellis and Whitesword Castle.

However, according to the knowledge I used to purchase as a TRPG gamer, attacking a well-prepared castle required more than triple the force. Already, even in simple numbers, the demons are nearly five times as good as the Philsand army. Giant ghosts and rock ghosts are dozens of times more powerful than regular soldiers, and they're pretty bad when it comes to even unidentified giant ghosts.

"Besides, maybe if we catch up with the Schulz barbarians and eat them up, we'll go back to the nest with satisfaction."

Crawla hoisted her eyebrows behind her back at the words of a court magician who would follow. I don't see it, but that's about it. The rade will probably be smiling coldly.

Really? Sacrifice is out of the question, but these people don't seem to be willing to help the Shulls or anything in the first place.

How can I persuade the Duke to protect the Schulds, as it would be reasonably good for me to leave and clean up before the Legion of the Dark (Legion) reaches Philsand?

And, thinking about it, a transmission rushed into the command room.

"I say. It came from the Schulz tribe, and a messenger came. We request a meeting with the Duke."

"... in this busy place... What did you say you wanted?

"The envoy is named Ruslas, the chief of Schulz. Wow, young man. We demand safety of passage and food in the territory in exchange for Mr. Balzard's personality."

Yes, this is not a cheap game you can get to the happy ending if you accomplish the mission in order.

The days spent negotiating with the Duke could have been a completely different situation if they had been used for the Schulz.

And isn't this guy a little too chaotic?
