Luus is the largest lake on the Sedia continent.

Rich water systems and fishery products moisten more than a dozen cities and hundreds of villages.

One of its many villages, Lunge, was a typical fishing village located on the eastern shore of Lake Lewis.

The village of Lunge, with a population of about four hundred, is subordinate to a neighbouring urban state, governed by deputies seconded from that city.

The deputy, who was replaced five years ago, had garnered respect from the villagers. Because he did an incredible job for the village of calling merchants to create sales channels for fishery products and inviting entertainers to provide entertainment. Moreover, the demand for embezzlement and bribery was so much (...). For a village that is finally recovering from the damage it suffered in the War of Loss, it is an unattainable existence.

That, at the deputy's mansion.

"Well, I'm looking forward to the harvest festival."

"Yeah, yeah. I can't believe you came to one of the shadow plays since the beginning of this village. Hey. Thank you so much, Master Jabbazi."

"It's always a thank you for feeding me good fish. Tax revenues are rising."

It was deputy Jabbazi who smiled at the village chief in front of the simple gate. A loose robe indicating his position. I can only see him as a mediocre official, including his sensible but plain appearance.

"Thanks to the deputy, of course, but that's it. That one... great magic... isn't it, magic? Was it used..."

"Margils the Great Wizard?

"Yes! Thanks also to the great wizard! You're defeating legions of demons (Legions) everywhere! When I heard that rumor, the people of the village could hope for their lives."

"I see. Then I have to thank him, too."

It is good to say that the name of the Great Wizard Geo Margils was ringing in all of the Luus Alliance at this time of year.

Rumors include various distortions and deceptions, although they do not convey his exact appearance. Still, with exceptions like Ryushuk's, the popular appreciation of Geo was very favourable in this way.

"Hello, Master Jabbazi. Mr. Murakami."

"Oh, Lark."

"Long time no see."

A new guest of the mansion spoke to the two who were standing talkin '. It's a man with a big load on his back.

He is a merchant who began visiting the village with the introduction of Jabbazi. With the antiques being handled, there were only about half a dozen guests, and stopping in the village was a few times a year.

Lark told the deputy he was here to deliver the order.

"Really, thank you. Okay, deputy. I am now..."

The deputy and the pedestrian entered the mansion as the village chief walked away with a grin.

Facing each other in the deputy's office.

"... I didn't know you were coming out directly, what happened?

Jabbazi asked Lark with a cold eye and voice like someone else.

"Margils arrived in the city of Lellis yesterday. Looks like we're leaving the ship for Sylbus in three days."

Lark also reports faceless. It's not the face of a glittering pedestrian earlier. With that face on his face, Lark explained in detail the itinerary to Ryushuk in a row of Geo that he had his men examine.

"That's faster than I thought. There are more than 30 days to the Great Conference…"

"Actually, there's another unexpected move"

"Is that why you didn't use 'Connection'?"

The only resident of the Mansion is a deputy. The old lady from the village, who helps with the chores on the street, is home.

That conversation that was exchanged in the quiet mansion was never the sort of thing that a surrogate and a pedestrian would do.

"Margils was in Lellis Square, unveiling a 'gift'."

"... what, what's that?

Khalid, the Great Lakes thief with deputy Jabbazi...... as his tentative figure, now tilted his neck.

Great Lake thief Khalid. He is highly skeptical anyway.

Though naturally as a villain who spent more than fifteen years gathering close to a thousand of his men and subjugating many of the bandit guilds within the Lius Alliance. He feared above all the betrayal of his allies.

The location that Khalid chose to never reveal his identity while at the centre of the information network he stretched throughout Luus was the village of Lunge, the mask of his deputy.

It was easy to enter the village as a new deputy (that official has died in an 'accident' a while later) simply by bribing a few junior officials of the city that owns the village of Lunge.

Geographically, it is situated within a reasonable distance of the city of Lelis, Sylvas and major cities such as Ryushuk. Instead, it was convenient to have very few extra people in and out of the streets of the law because they were slightly off the streets.

If you are also a deputy, you will not be pryed from a villager who knows nothing. Instead, if I only graced him a little, the villagers admired this one as a 'dependable deputy' and helped me as a good hiding/watchdog.

That's all the more dangerous when you put something on your side that knows who you are. Khalid, believing in the law, had few men in the village. The only exception is the proximity in the vicinity that serves as his shield and sword.

Directives and contacts to bandit guilds under subordinates and umbrellas also naturally use 'merchants and entertainers summoned by personal connections'. Half of them are real merchants and entertainers with no backs or tables. The other half, with the exception of one, has nothing to know exactly who he is.

One exception to this is the man who names the pedestrian Lark.

He is one of the few men Khalid trusts and now infiltrates the Bandit Guild in the city of Lellis as a spy. The only Lewis bandit guild that isn't subordinate to Khalid is because it's a Lelis City guild (there is no bandit guild in Leusuk, by the way).

Its precious and busy Lark's direct visit to Khalid was due to the following circumstances:

A grand parade took place when Geo Margils revisited the city of Lelis.

At this time, there were two things that pulled out the relisk child's temper.

One was a stone warrior close to three metres tall who at the beginning of the march dedicated the painted flag of 'Guided Star'...... a moving stone statue (stone golem). There was widespread information that Geo was planning to pass on the method of making moving stone statues (stone golems) to the Sorcerer's Guild and put them into the future battle against the dark. It was only natural for the citizens to raise their cheers.

The second is not the Bronze Warrior (Soldier of Bronze) following behind the moving stone statue (Stonegolem). Bronze Warriors (Soldiers of Bronze) each had a number of "Shining Emerging Fine Workers (Reliefs)" listed. The crest of each Lewis Alliance city had been engraved, and a magical light had been granted by Geo that would not go away forever.

Even Lark, who seemed to have abandoned his emotions, told Khalid that it was a 'I don't think it belongs in this world' beauty. He has more than an appraisal eye than a concurrent art dealer, and he also appreciates that 100,000 gold coins will not be dropped.

What Lark thought should be conveyed directly to Khalid was the information in this Shining Emerging Fine Work (Relief).

At the end of the parade, in front of the Capitol, Gio himself declared to the citizens. "On the occasion of the Luus Grand Conference, we will give each city a" brilliant emergent craftsman (relief) "as a” gift ”from the Great Wizard.

"... and the problem is. Both the Shining Floating Fine Work (Relief) and the Moving Stone Statue (Stonegolem) are meant to be placed on a single ship and carried to Ryushuk."

With a rugged face he rarely showed, Lark closed the report.

"... did you say that on purpose? In front of the citizens of Lellis?

Khalid, who speculated on the circumstances and the future it would lead, also shrugs with a sinister face.

A treasure of over a million pieces of gold in total crosses Lake Lewis, being placed on just one ship. Where that means...

"No way, are you trying to lure us out?

"... I don't know. But."

"If Margirus' ship arrives safely in Ryushuk, don't get a big scratch on the name of the Great Lakes thief Khalid"

Khalid's aim is to antagonize the good folk army and the Great Wizard of Ryushuk in an attempt to take control of themselves. Thinking about it, it's not the worst.

"The chain of fear takes a tremendous amount of work to tighten back once it's loose.... you've thought of trouble."

"After all, a man named Margils seems to be one of us."

Previously, Khalid had unleashed spies on the castle of Zytheas many times. But all of it 'disappears' without sending a single report. In addition, I am certain of the arms that are spreading the 'See Tale' to Lewis as if it were true that he had destroyed an army of Darkness (Legion) by himself.

Based on those assumptions, Khalid assumes that Geo Margils is an 'ambitious man who owns an advanced intelligence service. However, there is no doubt that he or his subordinates are powerful magicians'.

If Khalid misses Geo's ship, it will be devastating to an organization called the Lake Thief. Even if it was a trap, I didn't think I'd lose if I hit all of Khalid's power...

"... do you want to use the good militia? In three days, you'll make it."

"Yes."

Few people would be as skilled as Khalid in falling for people. After a few minutes of reflection, he had assembled a conspiracy to reverse Geo's trap and further determine his disagreement with the Good Civil Army.

"Ooh!

There was a tall man's voice from across the door of a quiet malicious office.

Nor did Khalid, the apparent deputy, respond, and it was a flashy dressed young man who opened the door (which was supposed to have been locked) and then slipped indoors.

"Zazam. What's up?

Khalid asked the young man without moving one eyebrow.

The young man, who is ostensibly 'a relaxation who at some point settled in the village', is the side of just one Khalid who lives in the village… early on he is an assassin of his children.

"Mr. Khalid, you're fucked."

"... so what's up"

A natural homicide engineer, a young man who had buried countless adversaries was blue-faced. Khalid accidentally floats his back, too.

"So, he said there's no sign of jerking off."

"... Zazam"

"Is Lark here too? What is it?

"... what is that woman behind you?

Behind Zazam, at the end of Lark's gaze.

There, a beauty with black skin stood quietly.
