Well, in the first place, the moment I realized I was in jail that day, I said, 'Isn't this a dream that I fell from a cerebral infarction and I'm still in a vegetative state?' I guess I should have suspected.

Even if the conclusion is the same that it doesn't matter whether it's a dream or a virtual one, as long as it's a sad end for a SF fantasy fan. Most of all, I can tell you that I was upset and not even close at that time.

The next morning.

I was on the same altar of the sacred tree as last night, rolling such further thoughts in my head.

To purify the sacred tree, which, as the three of us consulted, would be under the influence of the dark in the ritual of Tuarez. And, of course, "The Wand of Lauris" will be recovered.

In attendance is Lade, Sedham. The Dark Priest Zarzam also refrained.

The Lauris nobility, Lyle youth, who should have been called to this occasion, is being asked to stand by with the adventurers.

Whatever, it's a scandal that the sacred tree that the citizens of Lauris admire like their mother used for the rituals of the Dark Worshipper (Demonist).

I'm going to explain later, but I've magically purified the sacred tree and never gone beyond it if I could have been to 'what I didn't have'.

"Therefore, the [Curse Break] spell has been [prepared (charged)] about six times"

[Xu (Curse Break)] is a four-level spell. Not many other spells are likely to be needed today, so I prepared them for a large number of eyes. Anyway, they are giants without skyscrapers.

"I have a question."

"Yes, Sedame."

"Even if we took away the influence of the dark, wouldn't that cause the sacred tree to collapse away? Like Baron Corbal's dead."

"Uhm."

Baron Corbal died shortly after the [Disenchantment (Dispelmagic)] spell took effect. This seems to be because the 'Dark Worm', which grew on the Baron's head, was wiped out by [Unmagic (Dispelmagic)].

In the same way, the sacred tree could be completely dead (drowned) if it wiped out the dark ingredients that would be considerably eroding the interior.

By the way, we were both safe when we used [Yi (Curse Break)] on Laiha and Balzad, which was brainwashed or ritualized by a dark worshipper (demonist).

This would be more of a difference in the degree of influence received from the dark than a difference in the spell used. It would be too late if there was a 'Dark Worm' in my head.

I don't know how eroded the sacred tree is, but I don't want to look as unharmed as possible any more.

"So there's one thing I'd like to try. I mean..."

As planned, I put a [grunt (curse break)] on the mummy of Touarez first.

As a result, the mummy, which brings together the priestly coat of the Temple of Law, which represents the order of this world (Sedia), literally vanishes into dust.

I have no problem with this at all.

"Well, hold this one for me"

Copy that.

Pull through Lauris's wand, which remains pierced by the trunk of the sacred tree, and give it to Sedam.

From here on out, it's the real deal.

"This spell stops the gear of time and puts the world under the control of one of us. That period of dominance will be one round to add 1D4. [Time Stop (Timestop)]"

Using the [Time Stop (Timestop)] spell following yesterday, the perimeter stopped as frozen by way of example.

Still, that's the nine-level spell you've been using most since you got here. I've also gotten a lot used to bringing my virtual self back and forth to the nine tiers of the realm of chaos.

... I don't think you're going to level up any more.

Shake off your nagging thoughts and cast two more spells in your paused time.

"This spell purifies the evil that erodes the sacred great tree. [Curse Break]"

"This spell heals all the wounds of the sacred great tree and restores complete health. [Complete Treatment (Complete Recovery)]"

A combo of [Curse Break] and [Complete Discovery].

Even when it comes to combos, after the effects of [Time Stop (Timestop)] expire, the two spells take effect at the same time completely.

If you do well, you should be able to heal the wounds at exactly the same time as purifying the interior of the sacred tree by [Curse Break].

Actually, it's a good story. In the TRPG scenario.

Look for O O's secret medicine to save the daughter of a nobleman (a beautiful girl) parasitized in her body by demons and curse items, etc.

Solving such classic situations with force moves is also the flavor of a 'D&B' super (master) level session (though another super (master) level quest occurs after that).

"... these guys probably wouldn't have twisted in the direction of dark worship if they'd done it on TRPG and gotten used to virtual and fantastic worlds"

I kneel down and look at Zarzam, who turns me to worship eyes, and I squeal.

It's a different matter to assume that the world is a crop than to start to think it's worthless and hateful.

Though the excitement and emotion I used to experience in the play of "D&B" certainly emanated from fantasy. Still, for me, it was a real excitement, an inspiration.

Nothing, not just TRPG, it doesn't matter if it's a book, a movie, an animation or anything. If they had that experience, they might have had a different future.

"Whoa!? Whoa whoa whoa!??

The moment time moves. The Zarzam gave a shout of amazement.

For a few seconds, black fog erupts from the entire sacred tree with tremendous momentum, blocking vision. But the fog quickly disappeared, and he represented himself….

"Kolya......"

"... eh"

I keep my eyes open, even to Sedam and Rade, who are used to seeing my magic.

That would be so.

"Ugh."

I have no choice but to say the same.

Because the giant trees that had decayed and rotted until earlier, burning and blackening, 'go back' to their luminous and healthy appearance while they were watching.

"I just wish I could maintain the status quo..."

"Thanks to Margirus!? Wonderful! Too wonderful!

The roots that stood on the ground like serpents firmly supported the trunk in a calm appearance.

The color of the epidermis brightens, and the rifts and blackheads that were everywhere disappear.

I don't really know what's going on up there from the hole that leads to the ground part, but I could see that the broken branches were repaired and the leaves shining green spread just as far as I could see.

And more importantly.

"There's magic... overflowing..."

……

Sedam shrugged.

The magic that had always been seen in thin light illuminated a dazzling vast underground space.

Even I can see clearly that there are some glittering particles flourishing in the air.

"Ugh, wow, motherfucker! Mother of Mercy of Lauris!

"Hey, what the heck!?

From below the altar, the cry of Lyle and the adventurers also rose.

I guess I noticed the anomaly around me and came out.

"Well what. It was unexpected, but this is not a bad thing. Right?"

"Hmmm......"

I had no idea that a single [complete treatment (complete recovery)] spell had so much power. No, if we consider the sacred tree as one life, no matter how huge, it has just had the right effect.

Leave the silent rade alone and check with Sedam.

"The citizens of Lauris... no. Anyone from the Lius Alliance would thank you to the fullest."

"Oh well."

I don't want to be thankful for anything, but it's also something that has the current purpose of getting the nation recognized, and it's not bad.

"It's just. As I said before, the sacred tree is a treasure given to man by the Creator (Remader). With a sacred tree, you can make all the magic you want, and the land will be rich, and the financial benefits will be immeasurable."

"... I mean?

Sedam's thoughtful face stirs my anxiety, too. I know what you're trying to say.

"If we don't reclaim Lauris early, it means that powerful people and magicians from all over the world (Sedia) will come after Mother of Mercy."

Look, I knew it.
