"Whatever you do, whatever chain reaction it triggers, you have to bear the consequences, good or bad."

Jim Novy and Dante Qiuji glanced at each other. They both understood what Rod meant.

Some of the Wizards in their clans who held positions didn’t seek to achieve great merits, only to avoid making mistakes, preferring to maintain the status quo.

As the impact spreads, even if the initial intention was good, if the final outcome turns out bad, the person who started it all must bear the consequences.

However, the Wizards present agreed with Wang Ya Harak’s actions.

"Not necessarily. The one standing behind Wang Ya Harak is the Illusory Dream Wizard. Who would dare act presumptuously in front of the Illusory Dream Wizard? In terms of status and background, he’s far above any of us." Harlech Qiuji glanced at his brother, then confidently stated his opinion.

Fox Granger, clad in a black Wizard Robe, exuded a cold, ominous, and unsettling aura. He was a Black Wizard who had recently made a breakthrough and was unable to control his presence.

His voice was incredibly hoarse. "We aren’t the only ones affected. The School Lineage will be too. I just wonder how they’ll view one of their own, Wang Ya Harak."

"In any case, this whole affair is quite interesting. Perhaps Wang Ya Harak will become the most unique Heritage Wizard of all." A smirk played on Fox’s lips.

"This matter doesn’t have much to do with us. We should focus on how to improve our own Power first," Rod Stark said, his tone calm, but his eyes flickered as he brought up another point. "Wang Ya Harak managed to escape unscathed from a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice of the Natural Ring Tower, and could even put up an initial resistance."

"That enemy Wizard, Rilis, was a Spirit of Nature on par with a Child of the Dark."

The Wizards in the room fell silent, the atmosphere growing a little heavy.

Rod Stark stood up and walked toward the door, adding coolly, "Frankly, I couldn’t do what Wang Ya Harak did. That means my Power is currently inferior to his."

"For the so-called ’genius’ newcomers of the Ten Great Wizard Clans to be outmatched by a Heritage Wizard who rose from the common folk... I find the word ’genius’ quite ironic."

Rod Stark left, but his words were like a thorn stabbing into everyone’s heart.

Regardless, Wang Ya Harak had already demonstrated his Power and potential. So what if his actions had affected many people?

The rules of the Dark Land still stood. The impact of some minor squabbles was nothing at all.

Others were working hard, improving, and showing great potential.

Yet here they were, gossiping and chattering... On second thought, maybe the word ’genius’ really was an irony.

Zack Antuun left as well, departing without a sound. Vast white snowflakes fell upon him. He reached out and caught a few, letting them melt in his palm and trickle through the gaps between his fingers.

The white puff of his breath lingered in the air before dissipating.

’Wang Ya Harak, you won’t stay ahead forever. I’ll catch up to you sooner or later. I swear it.’

Determination shone in Zack Antuun’s eyes. He made up his mind to perform a somewhat risky experiment involving his own body and a Puppet.

He was going to create a composite-type Puppet, attempting to branch out in more directions.

.......

Although Wang Ya had somewhat anticipated it, he couldn’t help but feel disappointed when he saw the interior of the Wizard Ruins.

The small Foggy Witch Array was what served as the newcomer’s residence on Ancient Forest Mountain, but that was now history.

A Level 1 Wizard Apprentice could ignore it completely.

The large Foggy Witch Array could confuse some Level 2 Wizard Apprentices with weaker Spiritual Power, but they could still break it after spending some time.

Deep within the fog was a man-made structure, square in shape and built from a mixture of metal and stone. Outside were cultivation areas for Magical Plants and creatures.

The Magical Plants area was the largest, but judging from the disturbed soil and the climbing, crawling tracks, it was clearly the work of the Black Death Vine.

Even the creature cultivation area had traces of the Black Death Vine’s movement. Inside, Wang Ya saw numerous creature skeletons, belonging to Level 1 Extraordinary Creatures.

The Witch Array was severely damaged, which was why its restraining functions had failed, allowing the fog inside to spread beyond the Thorn Area.

He summed it up with two main points.

’One: This was a Wild Wizard, not a very powerful one. At best, a wealthy Level 2 Wizard Apprentice or a poor Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.’

’Two: The possibility of finding anything he needed inside was extremely, infinitesimally small.’

Wang Ya’s mood quickly returned to normal. ’It was a no-cost venture, an opportunity, after all. Obtaining a rare thing like the Black Death Vine is already the greatest reward. If I sell it in the main Business District, its rarity will make it valuable. I could get a price comparable to a High-tier Extraordinary Creature, maybe even double that.’

His Extraordinary Spiritual Power, like a scanning radar, enveloped the entire square building. The situation inside was laid bare; the Protective Witch Array’s defensive function had completely failed.

Though the place was small, it had all the essentials.

It possessed all the functions a typical Wizard’s Residence would have.

Just as he’d thought, there was nothing of value. Extraordinary Fluctuations were almost non-existent; only the residual Energy from the Witch Array Core was emitting any ripples.

The Wizard’s Laboratory was completely empty.

Wang Ya spared it a glance before continuing down the corridor, deeper into the structure, until he reached the study.
