Chapter 226 - 153: Seeing Through the Illusory and the Solid, Returning
’Such a unique Biological Force Field, and such profound attainments in Witchcraft... could a mere Level 2 Wizard Apprentice really accomplish all this?’
’There were some aspects she couldn’t even see through anymore.’
’But he still had to die today!’
’The only reason I can’t touch him is that my Extraordinary Spiritual Power isn’t focused enough, my Biological Force Field not condensed enough.’
Rilis abruptly intensified the repulsive force of her Extraordinary Spiritual Power. An immense pressure radiated outward, filling the entire hall. The cracks in the walls multiplied. Zack Antuun, pinned to the wall, turned beet red as trickles of blood began to seep from the pores of his upper body.
Luo Dan, Murphy, and all the Law Enforcement Wizards and City Lord’s Mansion Wizards suffered the same fate, pressed against the walls and unable to move.
The Black Souls wailed and pleaded incessantly.
Rilis no longer trusted anyone. The only person she could believe in now was herself.

The Illusion Demon Domain was affected, fluctuating constantly, its frequency and amplitude heavily disrupted.
"I’m dead, I’m really dead this time! Wang Ya Harak, you’ve gone too far! I knew this plan was completely unreliable." Zack Antuun’s facial muscles contorted as he kept muttering, his hand clutching tightly to the Wizard’s Ring that stored his share of the Extraordinary Resources.
The Wang Ya Illusion Body, which had also been forced to the edge of the wall while struggling to maintain the Illusion Demon Domain, suddenly spoke to Zack Antuun. "Zack, I’m afraid I’ll have to trouble you one more time."
"What... the hell... are you... talking about..." Zack Antuun was stunned, finding the whole thing baffling.
’Got you!’
Rilis’s expression was utterly indifferent. Now composed, she made a crushing gesture in the air toward Zack and Wang Ya. Just as before, a powerful, high-pressure force began to twist everything within its range.
A fair, slender hand appeared in her line of sight, snatched the Black Core with lightning speed, and vanished before her stunned eyes.
The Black Core was gone!
Her empty right hand clenched instinctively. It was really gone!
This was the culmination of her long years of accumulation. There were well over a thousand Black Souls inside, and the Black Core itself was an extremely precious vessel she had commissioned an Official Wizard to create.
It was perfectly suited for her Curse Witchcraft.
But now it was gone!
An immense fury contorted Rilis’s beautiful face, making her features twisted and hideous. "I’m going to kill you, you damned bastard!"
"I knew it! Following a guy like you would lead to a bad end." Zack Antuun’s pupils reflected the expanding, erupting source of darkness that was causing the entire hall to tremble and compress.
As his body was crushed to dust, the hall collapsed. Pillars snapped one by one, turning into piles of debris amidst billowing dust... Rilis caught a faint trace of a residual aura and transformed into a surging tide of darkness, giving chase.
All the Black Souls were sucked into the darkness, strengthening its power.
If a Wizard were to look down from the sky, they would see the entire city being swallowed by a massive, dark shadow, in the exact same manner she had once used to kill Blood Wizard Klau.
Wang Ya had made a very special modification to the Illusion Demon Domain. To overcome its limitations, he had enabled it to project in a straight line instead of a circle, greatly increasing its range.
Normally, the Illusion Demon Domain could only cover a radius of about sixty to seventy meters.
But in a straight line, the distance could be extended to around three hundred meters.
As Wang Ya used the Illusion Demon Domain to escape the City Lord’s Mansion, he immediately activated his pre-planted Dream Seeds, which transformed into Illusion Bodies and cast their own Illusion Demon Domains.
The planted Dream Seeds themselves contained a certain amount of Particle Energy and Dream Power.
The Illusion Demon Domains linked up one after another, forming a straight path. The cost was that each Illusion Body, its energy depleted, dissipated into nothingness.
It was a race against time.
To stop would mean all his efforts were for nothing.
「About a kilometer outside the city gate.」
The Flying Griffin lay crouched near the Primitive Forest.
Wang Ya, standing beside it, suddenly kicked the Flying Griffin. "Hey, if you don’t come out now, that crazy woman is going to catch up. Then we’ll really be done for."
"You’re a real madman. Snatching food from the tiger’s mouth like that... you’re an absolute monster yourself."
Zack Antuun’s voice emanated from within the Flying Griffin.
’He was genuinely puzzled now. How had the other guy found him?’
’To compensate for this weakness, he had kept his original flesh-and-blood body, only modifying his internal organs and turning the Flying Griffin into a Puppet to house his true self.’
Puppet Wizards never took risks lightly, not even the slightest ones.
"You made me lose at least a hundred thousand Magic Stones," Zack Antuun grumbled as he climbed out from inside the Flying Griffin.
As for why he chose to stay inside the Flying Griffin, it had a little something to do with a fear of heights.
"Even if you could have gotten it, would you have dared to take it?" Wang Ya said irritably.
"I wouldn’t!" Zack Antuun’s answer was brutally honest.
"Only an idiot would take something from a Black Wizard. Who knows if they’ve tampered with it or left some troublesome curse on it."
The two exchanged a glance, then quickly looked away.
Zack Antuun snorted coldly, his tone full of pride. "In the end, you still had to rely on me to help you."
"You could have chosen not to help," Wang Ya said, his gaze dark.
But then the Wizard Contract signed with the Antuun Clan would have been immediately breached, bringing judgment down upon every member of the clan.
The contract was contingent on Wang Ya remaining alive.
Zack Antuun was furious but helpless. He could only begin to boost the Flying Griffin’s maximum capabilities.
A minute later, both of them could sense the arrival of that terrifying aura.
"Got it. Let’s go." A Wang Ya Illusion Body emerged from the void and handed a black sphere to Wang Ya. On it was a Witchcraft Seal constructed from Dream Power.
"Be careful of the Curse Power it contains. There are less than a thousand Black Souls inside; the rest are behind us." After speaking, it dissipated.
Zack Antuun gave him a strange look. "You talking to yourself is really something else..."
Then he changed the subject. "But is this black sphere the thing you wanted? It doesn’t look all that special."
BOOM!
A sudden, deafening roar came from the direction of the city gate. A massive wave of dark shadow surged directly over the tall city walls.
The Flying Griffin had already ascended into the heavens. Wang Ya stood on its back, looking down at Celestial Wings Wizard City below. The cold wind whipped through his black hair as his icy gaze met the woman’s face formed by the giant wave of dark shadow.
He completely ignored the hysteria and madness within it.
Taking off the Red Lotus Mask, Wang Ya let the evening breeze brush against his cheeks. His brow furrowed slightly. Although he had obtained what he wanted, he was reminded of something he had encountered in the past.
Back in Hanhai Wizard City, he had once sold some Extraordinary Resources on Freedom Street, including a set of the Water Guardian Witch Array and Witchcraft.
The image of the buyer surfaced in his mind: tall, with cold, pale skin, azure eyes, and cyan hair that fell to their shoulders.
At the time, he had only thought that person had a peculiar aura, a sense of foreignness that didn’t belong to the people of that region.
Looking at Rilis’s figure and aura now, he saw a striking resemblance.
’Could it be... they’re both from the Natural Ring Tower?’
Wang Ya’s expression grew solemn. The implications were deeply unsettling.
