"H-Hey, it’s already morning," I said while trying my best not to sound too flustered. "What exactly do you think you’re doing?"

"Well, I don’t know," Leon replied casually. "Maybe I want to relax myself first?"

"You seriously are hopeless," I said, although I couldn’t completely hide how embarrassed I was becoming.

I hesitated for several seconds before finally forcing myself to say what I had originally intended.

"W-Well, I was actually about to say that if you want to relax... then you can just have your way with me and do it again."

The moment those words left my mouth, I immediately looked away from him because I couldn’t bring myself to meet his eyes.

I was already embarrassed enough simply saying it, and hearing my own words out loud somehow made the entire situation feel even more humiliating.

Why did I have to actually say it?

I could have simply kept my mouth shut.

That probably would have been the smarter choice.

Unfortunately, my embarrassment didn’t stop me from meaning what I had said.

Leon simply smiled at me.

"I’ll take you up on that offer."

As he said that, he moved closer to me and slid his member inside me.

Although many things had changed between the two of us since we had parted ways when he left for the academy, this moment somehow made me feel closer to Leon than I had ever felt before.

Things weren’t exactly the same anymore.

We had both changed during the time we had spent apart, and everything that had happened since then had affected us in ways that I couldn’t completely explain.

There were things about Leon that I no longer understood as easily as I used to, and there were probably things about me that he no longer recognized either.

Still, despite all those changes, being beside him like this felt strangely natural.

It felt as though some distance that had existed between us for so long had finally disappeared.

Maybe that was why I felt so comfortable.

Maybe that was why I didn’t want to leave his side yet.

I had spent so much time wondering about what we were to each other and whether the feelings between us were still there that I had almost forgotten what it felt like to simply be happy around him.

Now that I was finally experiencing it again, I didn’t want to overthink it.

I just wanted to enjoy the moment.

Even though there wasn’t any official label between us, I couldn’t help feeling that something had changed.

Perhaps calling myself his lover was still a little too bold.

Perhaps I was simply getting ahead of myself.

Still, deep down, I couldn’t deny what I was feeling anymore.

I felt closer to Leon than I had ever been before, and for the first time in a long while, I felt as though I could honestly accept those feelings instead of running away from them.

Maybe we didn’t have an official relationship yet.

Maybe neither of us had actually said what we were to each other.

Even so, lying beside him like this made one thing feel strangely clear to me.

Whatever label we decided to use later, I felt like I had become Leon’s lover.

Leon’s POV

I decided that I had stayed at the orphanage long enough and that it was finally time for me to leave and head back to the Kingdom.

I had already gotten plenty of rest during my time there, and while staying a little longer probably wouldn’t have hurt, I felt like I was finally in good enough condition to return. There wasn’t really any reason for me to keep sitting around at the orphanage when there were still plenty of things waiting for me back at the capital.

Before leaving, I looked toward Alice, who was strangely watching me with a gentle smile on her face.

That expression of hers caught me a little off guard because I honestly hadn’t expected her to look at me like that. Alice usually had a certain way of looking at people that made it difficult to tell what she was thinking, but this time her expression seemed much softer than usual.

Sister Lily, meanwhile, was standing nearby and looking at the two of us with a rather complicated expression.

I couldn’t exactly tell what was going through her mind, although I had a pretty good idea of what had caused it.

I had been trying my best not to acknowledge the fact that she had been eavesdropping on Alice and me while we were fucking in Alice’s room, but pretending that it hadn’t happened wouldn’t exactly change reality.

Sister Lily had definitely been listening.

The situation wasn’t exactly something I could have handled easily either, because it wasn’t like I could suddenly pause everything in the middle of having sex and casually tell her to stop listening from outside the room.

That would have been an incredibly awkward thing to do, even by my standards.

The whole situation had apparently happened because of the Butterfly Effect.

For some reason, the ability I had copied from Titania had started showing its effects much more strongly than I had originally expected. Because I had sex with Alice, I had somehow ended up with a chance of having sex with Sister Lily as well, even though the possibility of something like that happening had previously been so small that I would have considered it practically impossible.

I really hadn’t been planning any of this.

I wasn’t secretly making some elaborate plan to get closer to Sister Lily, and I certainly hadn’t gone into the orphanage thinking that sleeping with Alice would somehow create another opportunity for me later.

It had simply happened because of the circumstances.

That was probably the strangest part about the Butterfly Effect.

The ability itself was technically more of a passive skill than anything else, but it was surprisingly powerful when I actually stopped and thought about what it could do.
