The Queen simply stared at those machines with complete indifference, almost as though they were nothing more than a minor inconvenience instead of an overwhelming threat descending upon the kingdom.

"You don’t have to be afraid, everyone," she said in a calm and reassuring voice. "These people are nothing compared to the might of the new king. You can trust that everything will be resolved from this point onward, so there’s no reason to lose hope."

Panic had already started spreading across the crowd, and anxious whispers quickly turned into frightened murmurs. And even the people who were chained along with me were starting to scream. Even with all that happening around her, the Queen looked completely unbothered. Her expression never wavered for even a second, and she continued reassuring everyone that they had absolutely nothing to fear.

"Quit living in that fantasy already! Can’t you see what’s right in front of you? Those machines are here to wipe everything out!" I shouted at her without holding anything back.

As I raised my head toward the sky, I saw the flying machines opening the compartments beneath them. The moment I noticed countless objects falling from underneath those machines, I immediately understood what they were.

Bombs.

The answer was painfully obvious after seeing them drop from those machines high above us.

Although I was definitely going to die here, that also meant the Queen would die alongside me, and everyone else gathered in this place would share exactly the same fate.

If I couldn’t rule this kingdom anymore, then nobody else deserved to have it either.

Everything simply needed to disappear once and for all.

A quiet laugh escaped my lips while I waited for what I believed would be the inevitable moment of my death. There wasn’t much else left for me to do except watch everything come crashing down around us.

The sounds of explosions soon echoed throughout the sky.

But... for some reason, something immediately felt strange about them.

Instead of hearing the explosions erupt across the ground like I had expected, every single blast was coming from somewhere above our heads.

My eyes instantly shot upward in disbelief.

"What?! That’s impossible! There’s no way something like that should even exist!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

Hovering above the entire kingdom was an enormous translucent barrier made of shimmering golden light. Every bomb exploded the instant it touched that barrier, yet none of the explosions managed to leave behind even the smallest crack.

How was something like this even possible in the first place?!

Absolutely nobody should have been capable of creating a barrier this unbelievably powerful.

Even the greatest barrier magicians I had ever heard of couldn’t possibly create something on such an absurd scale.

Even if there were the tiniest chance that someone somehow managed to cast a barrier of this magnitude, maintaining it over an area that covered the entire kingdom while making it completely indestructible should have been utterly impossible.

None of it made any sense whatsoever.

The people around me slowly lifted their heads toward the sky.

Fear gradually disappeared from their faces.

Hope quietly took its place instead.

Their eyes sparkled with amazement as they witnessed something they had once believed could never happen. Watching such an impossible miracle unfold before them completely drove away the terror that had been weighing on their hearts only moments ago.

"There’s nothing impossible for him," the Queen said while calmly looking at me. "Leon is the most powerful person I’ve ever known, and I truly believe he’s capable of accomplishing anything he sets his mind to."

"Are you seriously trying to tell me he’s basically some kind of god?!" I shouted in complete disbelief. "That can’t possibly be true!"

"I already told you," the Queen replied without the slightest hesitation. "Nothing is impossible when it comes to him."

A confident smile slowly appeared across her face.

"You made the mistake of choosing the wrong person to stand against, and now you’re finally seeing the consequences of that decision."

Leon’s POV

It seems that Titania had already arrived at the execution platform where George, the rebel leader, and every associate who had secretly worked together with him were being held under heavy guard.

Their story was finally reaching its end.

You might be wondering what exactly happened to Titania for her to become the woman she was now.

Only a few days earlier, she looked like someone whose entire world had completely fallen apart. She had looked as though she wasn’t sure whether she could keep moving forward anymore.

Now, however, she carried herself with the confidence expected of a true queen. The uncertainty that once filled her eyes had been replaced by determination, and it honestly suited her far better.

Before getting into the main battle against those Republic bastards, I should probably explain how all of that happened.

It all began before George and the rest of his little gang were captured by Beelzebub.

At the time, I was simply relaxing inside the guest room that had been prepared for me within the palace.

It wasn’t the room Titania was using. Instead, it was one of the palace’s guest chambers reserved specifically for visitors like me.

Beelzebub was there with me as well.

Lately, she had been accompanying me almost everywhere I went without missing many opportunities to stay close.

Well, to be more accurate, it wasn’t actually her original body.

One of her copies was the one staying beside me.

Honestly, there wasn’t much of a meaningful difference between the two anyway.

Her copies possessed the same overwhelming strength as the original, so separating them in my mind felt almost pointless. It was like arguing whether the left hand or the right hand belonged to the same person.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

A brief moment later, the door slowly opened.

Titania quietly stepped inside the room.

She was wearing an incredibly... provocative negligee.

For a second, I genuinely wondered whether I had somehow walked into the wrong room by mistake. Then I remembered it was my room.

The Beelzebub laying beside me sensed Titania’s presence almost immediately. Without making the slightest sound, she slipped away and transformed back into her slime form to keep herself hidden from view.

I turned my attention toward Titania and quietly studied the expression on her face.

"Why are you here, Nia?" I asked while looking directly at her. "And what made you come here this late at night?"

She looked away for a brief moment, as though trying to gather enough courage to say what she wanted.

After taking a slow breath, she finally raised her eyes and looked back at me.

"Can we..." she asked softly while fidgeting ever so slightly with her hands. "Can we talk for a little while?"
