Chapter 1532 - 218 - An Upcoming Storm (1)
After having sex with Lucielle, I honestly didn’t feel anything that different about myself. If anything, I still felt exactly the same as I did before, and that alone was enough to leave me wondering if anything had actually happened beyond the obvious.
Would having sex with her really change anything, I wondered? Did Lilith seriously make me do something that wasn’t even necessary in the first place? Well, I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoy the experience, because I definitely did, but at the same time, it was also a little bit of a letdown that I honestly hadn’t expected.
Lucielle was still standing beside me without saying much, quietly watching everything I did while keeping the same calm expression on her face.
We had already gotten dressed again, and neither of us seemed particularly bothered by the silence that had settled between us after everything we had just done.
Even now, I still couldn’t quite believe that I had actually had sex with her, especially considering how unlikely something like that had once seemed.
Looking at her now, especially after experiencing every part of her body firsthand, I had to admit that she was incredibly beautiful. She had a gorgeous figure, an unbelievably sexy appearance, and a kind of natural elegance that made it difficult to look away from her for very long. It was only natural that I’d still be amazed whenever I looked at her. Anyone would probably react the same way if they had been in my position.
Meanwhile, I was testing my strength by swinging Ayuru and Samui around for a bit, hoping I would notice even the slightest difference somewhere in my body. My movements felt smooth, my grip felt familiar, and my balance hadn’t changed in the slightest.
Lucielle quietly watched me for a moment before finally speaking up after letting the silence linger between us for several long seconds.
"What are you doing?"
Honestly, I couldn’t really blame her for asking after everything that had happened between us just a few moments ago.
Right after having sex with her and shooting my semen inside her, I had immediately walked over here and started swinging my swords around like some training addict who couldn’t sit still for five minutes. Looking at it from her perspective, I probably looked like someone who had completely skipped the part where normal people took a break.
"Nothing," I replied with a small shrug. "I told you already, didn’t I? I might be able to defeat Satania if I had sex with you."
She tilted her head slightly while continuing to watch my movements with obvious curiosity, almost as though she was trying to notice something that I couldn’t.
"So... did you become stronger?"
"I don’t know," I admitted honestly before lowering one of my swords. "Honestly, I can’t feel anything different about myself at all. It feels like nothing has really changed."
A part of me genuinely believed there should’ve been some kind of change. Even if it wasn’t something dramatic or immediately obvious, I still expected to notice at least some difference. For some reason, though, I couldn’t sense anything whatsoever, and that honestly made the whole situation feel a little strange. It almost felt like I had gone through all of that for absolutely nothing.
When I compared how I felt now to how I felt before, everything seemed exactly the same. My mana, my physical strength, and even the way I held my swords all felt completely unchanged.
Maybe nothing had actually changed after all, despite everything that Lilith had insisted would happen. That possibility was becoming harder and harder to ignore the longer I stood there.
"I can’t sense any increase in your strength either," Lucielle said after watching me for another moment.
Then she narrowed her eyes at me with a look that immediately became much sharper than before, making it obvious she wasn’t entirely convinced anymore.
The glare she gave me was so intense that it almost felt like she was trying to bore a hole straight through my body with nothing but her stare alone. It was the kind of look that made most people instinctively take a step backward.
"It doesn’t seem like you’ve gained anything at all."
Her voice became noticeably colder than it had been just a few moments ago, carrying an edge that hadn’t been there before.
"Did you deceive me?"
The amount of bloodlust she released was overwhelming enough to make it feel like she was preparing to crush me where I stood without giving me another chance to explain myself. The pressure alone would’ve made an ordinary person collapse on the spot.
"You don’t have to worry," I said calmly while meeting her gaze. "I didn’t deceive you. I might not be able to show anything right now, but I’m pretty sure the person who told me to have sex with you wasn’t lying."
At least, that was what I genuinely believed deep down, even if I couldn’t prove it at this exact moment.
I mean, if I died at Satania’s hands, then Lilith would die as well, so lying to me wouldn’t accomplish anything for her.
Because of that, I was pretty confident she knew exactly what she was talking about when she gave me that advice. Whether I understood it yet was a completely different matter.
"Who is this person?" Lucielle asked while keeping her eyes fixed on me, clearly expecting an answer this time.
I didn’t answer her immediately, even though I easily could have if I truly wanted to.
Instead, I simply chose to remain silent for the time being while thinking about what revealing the truth might lead to.
I was fairly certain that if I told her it was Lilith who had instructed me, she’d become even more excited by the possibility of Lilith’s revival, and that was something I really didn’t want to encourage right now. Keeping that information to myself seemed like the safer choice.
While we were still talking, I suddenly felt something that immediately caught my attention.
It was a presence completely different from either of ours, and the feeling behind it wasn’t pleasant in the slightest. The mana surrounding it carried a strange weight that instantly put me on guard.
Almost immediately, I turned toward the direction where I sensed it coming from without saying another word.
Standing there was Beelzebub, smiling as though she had been watching us for quite a while already, almost like she had arrived long before either of us noticed.
She wore a smile that was honestly a little disturbing to look at. It wasn’t exaggerated or particularly wide, but there was something about it that instinctively made me feel uncomfortable, almost like she already knew exactly how this encounter was going to end. It was the kind of smile that looked friendly at first glance but became unsettling the longer you stared at it.
"Looks like you’re still here, Lilith’s fragment," she said with a pleasant smile. "You seem rather composed for someone who’s about to die. Do you really want to die that badly?"
Despite the words she was saying, her tone remained playful, almost as though she was simply making casual conversation instead of threatening someone’s life. That strange contrast somehow made her words feel even more disturbing.
"You think you’re going to escape the storm that’s coming for you?" she continued while smiling at me. "All of the Deadly Sins are aware of your existence now."
A grin slowly spread across her face as she enjoyed watching our reactions, clearly amused by the tension she had just created.
"Including Satania."
"Satania is already here?" Lucielle asked, her voice trembling just enough for me to notice despite her attempt to stay composed.
"Yes," Beelzebub answered without the slightest hesitation. "And she’s heading this way as we speak. The moment Asmodeus told her everything, her eyes widened with rage. The aura she released was enough to make even my bones shiver."
She chuckled softly before continuing as though she were sharing an amusing story instead of describing something genuinely terrifying.
"As of this moment, she’s searching for you. I honestly don’t think she’ll spare anything in her path. If she has to destroy everything around her just to force you out of hiding, she’ll gladly do it."
Her smile only grew wider after saying those words, almost as if she couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
"So don’t even think about trying to hide."
She looked completely convinced that Satania would be the one to kill me, and there wasn’t even the slightest hint of doubt anywhere in her expression. Her confidence was so absolute that it almost sounded like she had already seen the outcome herself.
"To be honest," she continued with a casual shrug, "I’m quite certain you’re going to suffer a very gruesome death at her hands."
Then she smiled even more brightly than before, almost like she had just thought of something entertaining that only she would find amusing.
"But if you’d like, I can make your death a little less painful."
She rested one hand against her stomach with a strangely cheerful expression on her face, almost as though she were making a generous offer instead of a horrifying one.
"How about you crawl into my stomach instead..."
Her smile never disappeared, making the offer feel even more unsettling than it already was, and somehow that constant smile only made her words sound worse.
"...and let me melt you there?"
