"If Mother was simply careless enough to leave all of this behind for us to find, then that’s all there is to it," Beelzebub said. "It would just mean Mother got careless and accidentally exposed her secret to us. The secret about destroying this world itself. But if that’s really the case, then we’re the idiots for assuming she would’ve left something that important behind for us to discover in the first place."
I fell completely silent after hearing that.
Honestly, I couldn’t believe she had just called herself an idiot without even hesitating for a second. Hearing that come from one of the Seven Deadly Sins felt surprisingly strange, almost like listening to a king casually admit he forgot where he left his crown.
"Well, Lilith is definitely planning something if she managed to pull off something like this," I said after gathering my thoughts.
"In the end, we’re nothing more than pieces on her game board, aren’t we?"
I couldn’t really argue with that conclusion anymore.
Looking at everything from that perspective, it almost felt as though Lilith had been playing some absurd game of three-dimensional chess while using all of us as nothing more than her pieces. Even after she disappeared from the world, she was still moving every single one of us because she had already planned everything long before anyone even realized they had stepped onto the board. Thinking about it like that honestly made my head hurt a little.
"Fufufu..."
Beelzebub suddenly let out a quiet laugh that echoed softly through the cave.
"Now I think I finally understand why all of us were brought together like this."
I turned toward her after hearing those strange words leave her mouth.
The moment I looked at her, I realized she was completely naked.
Although, calling her naked was only technically correct. She was a slime, after all. She could reshape her own body however she pleased and imitate clothing perfectly just by manipulating the surface of her slime. In other words, she hadn’t actually been wearing clothes this entire time. She had simply molded parts of herself into something that looked exactly like clothing. It was honestly a weird thing to think about, and somehow my brain decided that now was the perfect time to process that information.
"What are you doing?" I asked while raising an eyebrow at her.
"I don’t think you don’t know exactly what I’m planning," she replied with a playful smile. "Actually, I think you’ve been expecting this the whole time, haven’t you?"
While I was still talking with her, I suddenly sensed something appear behind me.
It was another Beelzebub standing only a short distance away.
"You’ve fucked Lucielle already," she said. "So it’s only natural that you’d want to try another Sin too, isn’t it?"
"So that’s why you brought me here?" I asked while glancing between both of them.
"Well, not exactly," she answered with a light shrug. "I could have sex with you even out in public if I really wanted to. The reason I asked you to come here was because I wanted to see just how foolish I had been."
She paused for a brief moment before continuing.
"And I really was foolish. That much has already been proven without a doubt. Although, I probably would’ve reached the same conclusion much sooner if Satania hadn’t been so unbelievably hot-headed about everything. She was so angry that she kept insisting Mother was going to destroy the world over and over again that it became difficult for me to think rationally. Looking back on it now, though, I can clearly see just how stupid I was. Sometimes it really helps to stop yelling long enough to let your brain catch up."
A slow smile gradually spread across her face.
"But now that I finally understand everything, I think it’s time to move on to the next course of action."
She slowly licked her lips while keeping her eyes on me.
"So..." she said after a brief pause. "What kind of body would you prefer? I can become a boy or a girl if that’s what you’d like."
She tilted her head with an amused expression.
"Although I suppose it doesn’t really matter in the end. Maybe you have a particular body type that you like more than the others?"
She leaned a little closer toward me.
At almost the exact same moment, more copies of her began appearing all around me.
One became two before I even noticed.
Two quietly became four within moments.
Before I had enough time to react, they had already surrounded me from every direction without leaving even the smallest opening.
They pressed themselves against me from all sides until there wasn’t enough room left for me to move even a single step. Being surrounded by identical slimes was somehow both impressive and incredibly inconvenient at the same time.
Without giving me any warning whatsoever, she suddenly kissed me.
For some reason, her tongue felt incredibly strange against mine.
It didn’t feel like an ordinary tongue at all.
Instead, it felt unusually soft, wet, and incredibly slimy in a way that only a slime could probably manage.
Then it just kept getting longer as the kiss continued.
Eventually, she pulled away, leaving a thin strand of saliva stretching between us before it finally snapped a second later.
"So that’s what kissing feels like," she said with genuine curiosity in her voice.
A mischievous smile slowly spread across her face, and it was exactly the kind of smile that made it painfully obvious she had already decided to make my life much more complicated from this point onward.
"I always wondered about that," she continued while watching my reaction closely. "The men I’ve eaten always dissolve almost instantly the moment I consume them, so I’ve never actually been able to experience anything beyond that."
Her eyes never left mine for even a moment.
"But your body is different from everyone else’s."
She smiled even more brightly after saying that.
"Your body was created from Lilith herself."
Her voice carried an unmistakable hint of excitement.
"Which means something I’ve never been able to experience before has finally become possible. I can finally experience having sex as well."
