The World of Deities

Chapter 11 Magician's Friendship

Su Ye got up, carrying the purse, nodded slightly to thank Kelton, and walked to the door.

Su Ye stood still at the door.

"Do I need to sign the Four Gods Contract this time?"

"Your inner promise is better than a god." Kelton slowly took the wine filled with water, sipped it, squinted his eyes, and was very comfortable.

"See you later."

Su Ye raised his hand and walked out of the room in the dark.

Huck followed Su Ye silently.

Along the way, the waiters and old customers of Dolphin River looked at Su Ye and Huck like a ghost.

How could Huck, the "wood" who didn't put anyone in his eyes, follow Su Ye honestly. It was not to send guests off, but to protect Su Ye like a guardian Mr. Kelton.

The busy middle-aged foreman saw Su Ye leaving the gate, gritted his teeth, ran out quickly, and shouted at Su Ye.

"Mr. Su Ye, I am Temonos Genis, son of Peristra. Welcome to visit next time."

Su Ye, who was walking forward, smiled slightly. It seemed that this man was very smart and realized from the beginning that he had forgotten his name.

But what is his name? What forest what pigeon?Goodbye!

The Ninth Avenue at night is much darker than during the day, and the sparse lights barely make it possible to see the road clearly.

Only then did he understand why the pedestrians on the road were walking steadily.

Afraid of getting to your feet, afraid of stepping on shit.

Su Ye was very slow.

Huck followed closely behind.

At the corner of Ninth Avenue, Su Ye saw some people wearing shorts and leather armor and stopped.

Su Ye knew that during this period the barbarians in northern Greece wore trousers, but he did not expect that even the Athenian soldiers would now wear pants. This means that the depth and breadth of cultural and civilization exchanges in this world is far greater than that of ancient Greece in the history of Blue Star, including the emergence of tea to prove this.

These people were chatting with daggers around their waists. They were not very old, and there were even two teenagers in their 17s and 18s.

Su Ye turned around and asked, "Mr. Huck, these city guard soldiers should be very willing to help you."

Huck stared at Su Ye's face for a few seconds, then nodded.

Su Ye smiled and said, "Would you like to find two people for me, follow them, and when appropriate, come forward... to perform your duties."

Su Ye put the last phrase very hard.

Huck stared at Su Ye for a while, then slowly said: "You count me?"

His voice was hissing, like a crack in his throat.

"It's not a calculation, but please help me." Su Ye said calmly.

"The magician's friendship?" Huck asked blankly.

Su Ye couldn't help but smile: "They all say that Mr. Huck is not good at speech. I didn't expect your level of sarcasm to be so high. Yes, for you, I can only show the friendship of future magicians."

"Remember this night."

After Huck finished speaking, he walked towards the few city guard soldiers.

The moment Huck finished speaking, Su Ye saw a complicated look in Huck's eyes.

Su Ye looked at Huck's back and sighed softly.

When the soldiers saw Huck, they stood up straight as if they had met the officer. Some of them even had glory on their faces, as if they had seen a hero.

Su Ye looked at them, and after a while, the few people actually quarreled, and finally the two of them came out, and the others looked disappointed.

Huck pointed to Su Ye and spoke to those people. Su Ye nodded slightly to the soldiers, who also nodded immediately.

After a while, Huck returned and stood behind Su Ye without a word.

"Thank you, Mr. Huck."

After Su Ye finished speaking, he unceremoniously handed the two purses to Huck, only one was left in his hand.

Huck looked at the purse, then looked at Su Ye, took the purse and hung it on both sides of the back waist, so that it would not be seen by people in the front.

Su Ye stepped forward,

Su Ye took a chance and glanced behind him. Only one person was tracking him, and the other was missing.

The city of Athens at night is much quieter than during the day, especially after entering the slums, people who are reluctant to light up either have fallen asleep or chatted with their neighbors outside the door.

The Mediterranean climate is warm in winter and cool in summer, and Su Ye does not feel cold even when walking barefoot on the ground.

Su Ye walked forward while inquiring, unconsciously, a group of men appeared behind him.

No one wears a long gown, or even a short gown. Most people wear a rag around their waists, and even a few people are naked and follow the crowd swaggeringly.

Everyone's feet are covered with thick mud, some up to their calves.

They saw for the first time that a young man was swaying to find Lawvens with a purse.

In the slums, Lawvens is not the most powerful, but one of the most famous.

Some people smiled and looked at Su Ye's back, while others greedily looked at Su Ye and Huck’s purse. Only a few people who knew Huck quietly looked forward to the show.

The two city guard soldiers were behind the crowd.

After not knowing how many stones and mud pits were stepped on, Su Ye finally arrived at a street corner and stopped in front of a tavern.

The night is dim.

A rusty bronze blunt knife hung at the entrance of the tavern, two palms wide.

There is no plaque.

Everyone knows this is a blunt knife tavern.

Su Ye's people who followed unexpectedly exceeded the number of forty, and more and more people nearby were attracted by the crowd and lights, and moved closer.

Only a few seconds later, cheers came from the tavern, as well as a rhythmic roar.

It's like the crew shouting inspiring chants before the battle.

Su Ye's right thumb and index finger moved slightly, and he was about to strike for the third time today, but stopped.

Even if he didn't tap his two fingers, he slowly straightened his chest, raised his head, and stretched his shoulders back slightly, his arms relaxed, and a confident smile appeared on his face.

The door opened, and two strong men who had been to Su Ye's house walked out with oil lamps in their hands, glanced at Su Ye contemptuously, and then made a gesture of asking inside the door.

Inside the tavern, the torches were bright. In the flames, Lawvens in a short brown hemp robe came out and walked two meters away from Su Ye.

When the wind blew, the moonlight and firelight flickered, and the "centipede" on Lawvens' face slowly wriggled.

Several people in the crowd whispered and hurriedly backed away.

Lawvens's eyes were colder than during the day.

Under the firelight behind him, a pair of crazy eyes plowed on Su Ye, but they all cleverly avoided Huck.

The honest-faced Ke Luo hid in the crowd, secretly surveying Su Ye, a look of doubt appeared on his face.

Lawvens did not look at Su Ye, but at Huck.

Huck was still like a dead wood, looking at Lawvens quietly.

"In front of the blunt knife tavern, there are only enemies or friends." Lawvens's voice was particularly peaceful.

Among the crowd behind Su Ye, a few people turned around and ran, making crackling noises when they stepped on the muddy water with bare feet.

Huck said nothing.

"Give me the loan." Su Ye shook the gold coin bag in his hand, calmly and relaxed.

Lawvens looked at Su Ye, the corners of his mouth moved lightly, and the scars on his face moved quickly again.

Several people who had seen Su Ye during the day observed carefully. There were still wounds on the neck, bruises, and stains on the body. That's right, it was Su Ye, but why did it feel like he was not alone?

Lawvens suddenly chuckled softly, his eyes fell on Su Ye's bruised neck, and said, "Is the donkey here?"

"Hahahaha..."

The crowd behind Lawvens burst into laughter, almost toppling the roof of the Blunt Knife Tavern.
