The barren wind sweeps through the parched earth more roughly. The soil that had to be used to fertilize the soil and provide various nutrients to the plants and help the plant's roots to be fixed flew into the air empty-handed. A desolate, desolate, barren land. Even the few plants around me were just breathless and living with muscles, but I couldn't find anything like the life force flowing with dark green.

Jack kneels on one knee and sweeps the ground beneath his feet with his hands once. The cloudy dust rises up and the dusty sand is caught. The sand soon ran out of Jack's hands. Jack gets up from his seat with his hands clenched.

"The north is no place for a man to live."

The most important thing about human habitation is whether we can be supplied with water and food. This barren soil is a critical hit for those who are already familiar with agricultural technology to settle in one place.

It's been a while since Jack and Callie have walked north. At first, there was a capital massacre, which led us north along an unpopular mountain ridge. Then I came down the mountain around the time I thought I was in safe hands.

The destination was quite far, but Jack's steel-like stamina had reduced its tremendous distance at an alarming rate. Normally, I would have arrived a long time ago, but I stumbled along the road just in case. The distance that came up compared to the speed was very short, thanks to the journey taking what was left of the Demon King's altar everywhere.

However, the unfathomable landscape around them proved that the two of them came up to the north diligently. A lush green jungle seen in the south, but healthy soils full of moisture and nutrients were nowhere to be found here. The fields are gray, the crops are mostly steep, and the people are still there. It was understandable from the street that Jack was much higher up than Marlahan had ever been. Honestly, it was surprising that humans could live in a place like this.

'That's the end of it.'

According to a horse picked up from a nearby village, this was the end of where the country was founded. Those further north than here say they live in tribal units because of the cold climate, barren soils, and monsters that are ignorantly strong. Farming tends to tend to livestock because you can't even dream of it. You hunt incidentally, catch fish, or hunt monsters. At first glance, we could see that we had a similar life in reality to the nomads of the past. However, it is said that due to the unique ecology of the north, there is no place for one human being to become ignorantly strong.

Seeing the attitude and tone of the person who told Jack this showed fear and hatred, it didn't seem like a very good relationship.

'You wouldn't understand it if it were that simple.'

Even in reality, the Northern peoples were troublesome to all of Korea's and China's agricultural families just below. Since it is hard to eat and live, the farmers are always unable to lower their guard against the nomadic people because they come down to plunder and use high level riding magic as well. Even in reality, it was obvious that the situation was worse in this place than in reality.

As Jack is momentarily lost in thought, he hears a voice from above.

"Aren't you going, my lord? Or are we there already?"

Jack looks where his voice is coming from. Callie sits somewhere on a tall kiln. However, the half-locked eyes seemed to be very boring. His voice was full of locks.

Callie's kiln, as always, was held by skeletons. These unstoppable ghosts were the best barons I've ever seen. Of course, the flying undead were flying over the sky to keep other people from noticing them. They were constantly checking to see if there were any humans nearby.

"No, not yet. But we're almost there. It won't be long now."

Jack takes another pause. The destination was a huge mountain in front of him. It was never a low mountain that was piled up to the White Lunar New Year.

Grrrrrrr.

A mute sound echoes through the ears of the two walking silently.

Something was walking from afar. Jack narrows his eyes and looks at the approaching shadow. It was a monster.

"Cadillac."

The most common monster in the plains of the world. He was also the first monster Jack encountered on his way to Marlahan. At that time, four Cadillacs were slaughtered with 12 mercenaries. Monsters in the north were more powerful than I could have imagined. Moreover, this place is much higher than it was then. Of course, the monsters' strength was greater than that.

But Jack didn't feel much tension. I looked at the monsters approaching, not even the sword.

The muscles were tight and looked strong enough to see. For a long time, a sticky saliva flows down your mouth with sharp teeth. The foam coming along, sniffing its ugly nose like the scented smell of food, doesn't seem to be approaching with favor from Jack and Callie.

Eyes meet. The young man's eyes curl into a crescent shape. It looked like a predator who was happy to see food.

"Oh, can he laugh? '

Jack was flattered.

Cadillac, who discovered the game, quickly moves his muscle tone. The ground echoes faintly as the muscle-bound monster approaches, over two metres. I looked very dirty as I pulled out my tongue and scattered the saliva to the side.

"Callie."

The last one calls Callie. Callie nods her head as she dozes over the kiln. I quickly wiped the saliva that was running down my mouth.

"Yes, yes?"

"Get rid of him."

Following the finger Jack pointed at, Callie's gaze shifts to Cadillac.

"Oh my!"

I'm surprised to burst my surprise with my hands on my cheeks. Then you pick up the wand that you left right next to you.

Knock!

The bottom of the kiln was lightly dipped with a cane. The invisible energy rumbles and stirs something in the ground. A little distance from Jack and Callie, you begin to rumble.

Huff, puff, puff.

Something crawls through the barren ground. Thick muscles, over two metres tall, and an ugly face were strongly claiming to be monsters. It was looking exactly like Cadilla, who was rushing in. The only difference was that the skin was thick, the eyes were dull, and now it absolutely obeyed its owner, Callie.

The Cadillac Undead from the crawl is three in total. They begin to approach Cadillac as he commands them to come crazily before his eyes.

Bang!

Every time I set my foot on that weight, the ground shook. I was embarrassed by the eyes of Cadillac as I watched the three undead running ahead.

An undead clenches his fist vigorously. Cadillac clenches his fist at the undead in a panic. But dealing with it is undead who do not feel pain. There were a lot of people there. Soon Cadillac was surrounded by three undead.

"Hmph, I found another one."

Callie smiles joyfully as she strokes her staff. Jack looks down at the ground. The three coming out are only a fraction, with more undead following them.

'That's scary.'

Jack sticks out his tongue.

I used four of the goddess's blessings stolen from the palace for the ceremony and gave the other to Callie. Callie's abilities have risen tremendously, based on the tremendous amount of life that was left in her. If the number of undead you used to lead was a few tens, Cali's current ability could literally cover a large town with a lesser level of undead.

I let the undead bring the body of the dead Cadillac, and then I see Callie singing a nostril and killing magic. The army grows and feels good, and there's a lot of strength in swinging it.

Cadillac's dead eyes flash. Cadillac Undead slowly rises up, completely extinguished.

"Get in."

As soon as Callie's words are finished, the undead rise to four spheres and hide in the ground. A hard rock ring might be hard, but this is a desolate place where the ground is easily crumbling, and your undead hide from you in an instant.

After finishing her work, she climbs back into the kiln. Then he said vigorously.

"Let's go again, my lord."

Jack walks forward smiling.

Jack and Callie start climbing the mountain. The mountain was not full of dense trees and green grass. The barren soil prevented plants from spreading, and even though they tried hard to take root, this time it prevented growth. The mountain that Jack and Callie climbed was a really grim, desolate mountain where the dripping trees grew everywhere.

Hoodluck.

Every step you take, the little rocks fall apart. It was easy to walk because there was no dense vegetation. It was when Jack and Callie went up that way for about four hours.

A cracked cave opens its dark jaws at the foot of the mountain.

"Is this the place?"

"Yes."

Jack goes into the cave and says,

"It was the Demon King's Dungeon nearby."
