Jack and Callie are standing on a cliff. Dry ground covered by cold temperatures, only the strong, lifelike grass is swirling around in strong winds, and no other creatures are visible. Beneath the rounded cliff, which stands almost perpendicular, lies a flat plain. Even on the ground where the earning body is still sticking out, there are strong grass everywhere, but I couldn't find any dark recording. The terrain was terrain, so there was a lot of wind. Callie, who was next to you, gives you more chunky clothes. The hood I was wearing for warming was also pressed down with my hands to prevent it from peeling off.

"Is that where you're going?"

Point your other hand in front of you. Jack nods quietly and looks where Callie is pointing. You see a big mountain. Above it was a pile of white fountains of snow, and you could see whether it was a mountain born from a volcano or a lying caldera. It was a fairly large mountain, even from a distant place. The surrounding terrain, a plain with little elevation in the ground, has further highlighted the magnificence of the mountain.

"Is there? That dark wizard?"

The mountain in front of us is where the Demon Lord originated and where Jack guessed there would be a dark wizard now. I was a little nervous on Callie's face.

"I wish I didn't think so, but it's not what the world thinks."

Jack looks up at the sky. A few flying creatures seemed to be circling the sky. Even after watching for a long time, their behavior did not change. You don't fly around the sky looking for prey, but it looks like you're trying to keep an eye on something.

It was presumed that Callie played a similar role as the undead. At least here, Jack's hopes of not having the Dark Wizard seem to be shattered. Though I expected, I felt like I had a heavy stone on my chest. The taste buds are bitter, but hope still hasn't let go. Those things up there aren't flying undead, they could really be living nearby.

"Shall we send scouts first?"

Callie says Jack nods. The purpose here was to see if the Dark Wizard was really here, if at all possible, to check the Dark Wizard's army and try to expel it.

'It will be difficult to dismantle.'

Callie hears Jack's orders and moves a few skeletons. Hands and feet skillfully grasp the jagged wall, and the skeletons used to run around and around the plain.

The two who stood the skeleton in front of you slowly followed behind you. The cliff goes down with Callie, just like it did at the old firearms plant. The mountain that looks far away looks bigger because of the downward vision. They walked quietly. There were quite a few miles to go, so I thought I'd have to take a long walk to get there.

At some point, they stopped walking at the same time.

"My Lord."

Callie calls out to Jack in a loud voice. Jack nods quietly. I looked down as if trying to pierce through the ground.

The skeletons are reacting to something. When I met the Dark Wizard scoundrel I had killed before, I also felt like this.

Resonance with other undead. There are other undead besides Jack's party.

Bingo. '

It was not a very nice bingo. I thought I was settling in here, but there was a wind I didn't want to. The wind was beautifully shattered.

'There's nothing I can do.'

Jack gives up neatly. With a fierce glance, you aim for the hiding place of the Undead horde on the other side of the plain.

'Then let's assess the enemy's power.'

The enemy's undead forces are detected a few hundred meters from where Jack and Callie are. Beyond that, Callie's skeleton continues to walk. Callie's expression grows stiff. I thought roughly that I was concentrating my troops on this side to stop the enemies coming up from the south, but I guess I was wrong.

"I, my lord."

Callie hesitates. Jack's expression was stiff. Skeletons have walked for a long time since the first undead resonance occurred, but the resonance has not yet ended. Perhaps we should abandon the clumsy notion of concentrating our forces to the south.

'It looks like there's an army all over the plains.'

That's a huge number, if you ask me. This was a number Jack and Callie couldn't make out.

'Fuck you. Did you just raise an army while you were hiding?'

I kicked the ground a few times with my tongue. A lump of dry dirt flew forward, leaving behind cloudy dust.

"Let's go back."

He said slightly annoyed. Callie looks back at Jack with worried eyes.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"It's okay. The only way forward is through this assault."

If I had any chance of winning, I would squeeze my head out, but this was too much. The two had no choice but to turn their feet quietly, shaking their saggy shoulders.

* * *

By the time Jack and Callie took a unfortunate step, there was a gaze looking down at them both. Those were the two young men standing in front of the cavern that Jack had aimed for. The two were Chloe and the Dark Wizard.

I can see Jack and Callie making their way to Tullette without being far away from each other. It only seemed to move on the plains, but the two looking down from the hillside knew exactly what they looked like.

Callie wasn't the only one who felt the undead resonance. As soon as the Dark Wizard and Chloe also came out of the dungeon after the Undead resonated, they looked down at the resonance at the mountainside. I saw two dots moving away. As soon as I saw the Dark Wizard and Chloe, I knew. No, I've been expecting it since the moment I felt the undead's resonance. The only people who have been leading the undead this way lately are the alleged Dark Knights who killed Chloe.

"Yes, that would be wise."

The sound of flanking noises blazes up in Chloe's exasperation. I wanted to remove the sword from the bracelet and cut out the tongue. I pressed down on that desire with really superhuman patience.

"You're just gonna let him go?"

I keep my eyes fixed on those two points moving far away and just open my mouth and ask. The dark wizard next to you grips his head.

"I can't help it. I don't want to leave them behind, but there's no way to go after them."

"What are you going to do after you've buried an army?"

The Dark Wizard turns his gaze on Chloe.

"Don't underestimate the Dark Knights. I've drawn my sword for the troop car now, but I can't say that my personal strength is terrifying. I was not the one who stood in front of the Demon King for no reason. A monster with enough force to split itself in half."

"You don't know for sure if it's the Dark Knight or not, do you?"

"Obviously. But at least one of the Demon King's followers, an executive, came to me with such a rebellion, is reminded of nothing but a dark knight. Even if you're sure it's a Dark Knight, you can't be wrong."

"But now he's running away like that?"

There were two points of view in the distance. There was clearly a light of disappointment in Chloe's eyes.

"You had no choice. It was originally my role to build an army and provide rear support, and it was the role of a dark knight to lead an army that was created and take the lead in battle. No matter how powerful you are, if you don't have an army to lead, even a dark knight will be limited. Especially if he's got an army this big."

The Dark Wizard says that he's proud of you, and he feels sick to his stomach.

'You're hiding like a cockroach with such a proud army.'

I was pouting, but all I could think about was my mouth.

"I'd love to catch a getaway, but even if I raise an army to pursue it, you won't. It's a good distance from my army.If you think about the Dark Knight's physical abilities, you won't be able to hunt him down. Even if one of your colleagues grabs you by the ankle, it won't be easy to catch you."

"How about leaving a few undead flights behind? Wouldn't it be better to keep an eye on him?"

"What if the other humans find out?"

You coward to the bone. I could barely bear to come up from the tip of my lungs when I saw how lucky I was to be caught here.

However, the Dark Wizard seemed to be satisfied with the situation.

"It's gonna be okay for a while. Now that I know how strong my forces are, I won't be able to come at them quietly. I need to figure out how to deal with him."

The mumbling dark wizard turns around. You continue into the cave leading into the dungeon.

After the Dark Wizard disappeared into the dungeon, Chloe continued to look at the two dots.

'I thought a Dark Knight would charge so fiercely, but I guess not.'

I know, and I know he's right about now. However, I couldn't help feeling disappointed in Chloe, who wanted the fierce battlefield.

I followed the dark wizard to the dungeon, after watching the souls fading away for a while. Her shoulders, disappearing into the cave, seem to have sagged.
