The World of Masks

Inverse air

World and Allied Forces Command, which were in the future of a joyful victory declaring a complete reclaim of New Zealand, turned upside down by news coming from all over the coast of New Zealand. Dozens of transport ships could not make it to New Zealand were sunk and massive supplies were submerged in the sea.

That would have been fine. The cargo that disappeared into the sea and became the scum of the sea was a tremendous loss in the war, but it was a huge loss. To be honest, it's been too smooth up until now. It was news about the Navy that shocked the command.

An enormous number of naval vessels have been swept apart off the coast of New Zealand. Among them were antihelmets. Even though a few aircraft carriers and destroyers survived, they were taken from all monsters. The command, who was bewildered by the US7th Fleet and thought he couldn't be captured by the enemy, sent aircraft in tears and bombed all the traps that were being led by the monsters.

The only fighter pilots carrying missiles were those escorting an aircraft carrier that was slowly sinking, with a large hole in its side being hit by an ally missile. As the largest man-made marine structure sinks, the pilots return, gazing bitterly at it.

After the attack, of course, there was an emergency in the command post that remained in Australia. The emotional impact was greater than the actual avoidance, as it was a sudden blow from the atmosphere of time until the full reclaim of New Zealand. Moreover, the damage was not minor. All naval vessels on the New Zealand coast have evaporated. The human loss was enormous, and the physical loss was reversible. Above all, it was a massive supply of three million troops into New Zealand. In a single moment, the sanctuary shifted to the enemy. If you send a transport with supplies in this situation, they could all be sunk. After all, it was just air transportation. The Allied forces have begun to scramble a large number of aircraft. At the same time, I was reviewing the operation. Once the supply lines are cut off, a proper battle cannot be possible. Operations that were reviewed included a full recall. It might be too painful to make a decision if you think about the winning goal so far.

It was clearly an allied force at great risk, but surprisingly, the army in New Zealand remained calm. The supply piled up was energetic and morale did not drop that much. However, on land, the Allied forces were winning an overwhelming victory.

But that wasn't the end of the Demon Lord's assault.

Ambitious. Today is a day when the moon does not rise, and all around it is locked in darkness. Since it is not a time for humans to be active, it is time for most humans to sleep in a cozy house. It was the same with soldiers risking their lives to fight for their country.

A new coalition air base, set up just south of the North Island of New Zealand, was, of course, silent. Of course, there were more people awake than usual, as it was an emergency country. The fighter and armored inspectors were sweating in time so they could leave at any time, and the surveillance forces opened their eyes just in case.

Flutter!

Something sank into the wilderness near the airfield. Suddenly, it was like a big bird. I might have been even more mistaken because the clock was not properly secured due to darkness. But no bird has four legs and no long fangs. It was a monster-like malformation that seemed to lay only the wings of bats on a large carnivorous animal.

Grrrrrrr!

Howling low, the monster glances at the air base with gleaming eyes. It wasn't one or two. The Allied forces were clear about the emergency, but the air base was silent. The human eye did not pierce the monsters in the dark, and radar, the main means of human detection, was only able to mask two metres of monsters. Above all, they cleverly gathered one by one in the dark several days ago, without coming in groups. Even if he had radar, he would have to judge him as just a big bird.

That's close to 300 monsters.

Flutter!

The monsters spread their wings in unison. Hundreds of monsters spread their wings close to the nearest three metres and became more intense. The usual roar killed the sound thoroughly, and they soared into the sky. At high altitudes, the breezy creatures settle down into a runway full of fighters without a sound. There were only a few hangars, like Turra, a temporary airfield, for repairs. All the expensive fighters were exposed to the outside. Lighting and surveillance were all pointed outward, so the humans didn't notice the monsters.

Quack, quack!

The size was slightly larger than humans, but its strength could not even be compared to humans. Moreover, it is enhanced with vitality. The monster wiggles its feet a few times, and the armor of the fighter becomes dull as a bell. Several monsters broke the window of the cockpit and went inside. The control sticks and instruments began to break as soon as they hit the ground.

After biting the chair with its teeth and making a mess, it was the fuselage's turn. The wings, as well as the tail wings, inhalers, and fuel tanks began to tear apart neatly. Million-dollar fighters instantly recovered to scrap metal.

Monsters say they move quietly, but there's no way they won't make a sound in the yard where the accessories drop and get thrown away.

"What is this noise?"

One of the mechanics, who was repairing the plane to fly, tilted his head as he was buried in oil again today. As he turns his spanner hard, his companion looks at him, pushing his head into the engine department of the fighter.

"What?"

"Can't you hear something?"

The face of the colleague who looked as if he was talking about what kind of ghost or forgetting was stiff. There was a strange sound in his ears.

"Can you hear me?"

The mechanic, who saw his colleague's face and heard the first sound, glanced at him. The colleague frowns.

"What are you talking about? Do pilots do moonlight gymnastics?"

"At least I don't know how to do this crazy gymnastics."

"I don't know. Maybe it's just a commotion."

I was two people talking nonsense jokes, but I was uncomfortable. It was just a forced conversation to get rid of anxiety.

Other colleagues are starting to notice a loud noise in the two conversations. The mechanics who rolled their eyes at each other for a moment left the temporary hangar with a flashlight.

The sound is coming from where the fighters are gathering. They hold one pistol at a time and head toward the sound.

Something moves through the darkness.

"What is that?"

The moon didn't rise, so I didn't get a good look. But there was definitely something there. The guards turn the flashlight towards the fighters.

" Hiic!"

"What, what!"

When the creature that was moving in the light is revealed, the mechanics act strangely. Sharp fangs drool, and the eyes that reflect the light of the flashlight are creepy. You notice a creature folding its shell-like wings and literally dismantling the plane with its sharp, large claws. It was the first creature I'd ever seen in my life. No, that is no creature on Earth. That's not what naturally evolved creatures on Earth look like. At the same time, the soldiers thought of the creature.

"It's a monster!!!"

I screamed in horror as my eyes stood out.

Kyaaaaaaa!!!!

The monsters roar in unison, as if nothing had already gone through them. Monsters that were close to the soldiers rush towards them in an instant.

"Ahhhh!!"

Bang, bang! Bang!

The horrified soldiers fire their guns. The harsh gunpowder echoes across the airfield. However, a handgun is like a toy elbow for a monster who is not hit unless it is a weapon with more firepower than a heavy weapon, such as an anti-tank weapon. A bullet that couldn't pierce the monster's rough hide bounces back and forth. The monster quickly approaches the mechanics. A brutally sharp claw wields its growing forefoot.

Gaaaah!

Two soldiers close to you have long, deep wounds on their chests, like cuts from a sharp cutter. Fibonacci wets the floor of the airfield.

"Heeheeheeheeheeheehee!"

"Sa, help me!!!"

Soldiers throw their weapons and start to flee. All they have is a pistol. The opponent, however, has similar combat strength to a tank that can only be killed with heavily armed firearms. All they could do was scream and run.

Kyaaaaa!

The monsters chase them. Defendants took a large leap of wings made of shells. One at a time. Soldiers can't escape for more than 30 metres and become corpses.

Ow! Ow!

The emergency sirens start ringing all over the airfield in case the others notice. The lights illuminate inside the airfield. Monsters that had already become unnoticed were forcefully destroying the aircraft. It did not obstruct fighters, rooftops, bombers, transports, etc. A relatively small fighter, etc. disassembles one, and dozens of large transports scramble together. The aircraft quickly drops its engines and drills holes in and around the fuselage.

It takes time for the garrisoned army to march because it was too sudden. In the meantime, hundreds of monsters have turned over a thousand aircraft into solid steel.

Kiririk!

The army that was stationed has finally begun to enter the airfield. Armed forces are approaching from the center of the tank.

Flutter!

As soon as they saw the army, the monsters spread their wings. The order from the owner did not include engagement. The airfield that had become the grave of the aircraft was backed up, and the monsters flew up into the night sky and quickly left. All the military found was the remains of a wreck of a wretched aircraft that had turned into scrap metal and the corpses of the sacrificed mechanics.

A newly identified flying monster attacked airfields all over New Zealand and turned a huge number of aircraft from the ground to the scrap. It was a deadly blow to the heart of the Allied forces with a blow at sea.
