The World of Masks

Jinsuk grudgingly spoke to her. But I didn't want to end it with this. It is foolish to trust an individual or a country and let it be left alone. The precious and noble notion of faith was plagued by a powerful enemy called self-interest.

“Please also convene a treaty on the incarceration of superpowers, investigations and sanctions on the countries you wish to privatise, and the search for U.N. jurisdictions in countries where the search for superpowers is delayed. ”

Several of the ambassadors' faces were offended. The ambassadors, who did not express their disdain as blatantly as they did, were also perplexed.

“I think it's the same as meddling. ”

An ambassador said without hiding his unpleasantness. It was a tone that was sharp enough to make the horse look like a spear and even show the willingness to stab the stone. The demand for authenticity was that sensitive. But he had no intention of retreating.

“That's why we need a U.N. treaty. There are limits to how we can find superpowers in each country and get them into the PPSO. If you go one step further and you don't follow it, you have to have strong sanctions, so you can identify all of the superpowers. ”

“That's exactly what I need to do. Even if we did, we wouldn't have to proceed slowly and cooperate with each other's opinions without haste. ”

Another negative word came out. Jinsuk shakes his head decisively.

“I don't know about the other times, but this is a crisis. We need to get power and increase somehow. We may be late for another catastrophe in Canberra. ”

The ambassadors shouted. Whatever else came out of Canberra's hero's mouth, Canberra's work weighed more than anything else.

“We can't do that. ”

The opposite voice came out loud. The head of Jinsuk turns. The corner of his eyes twitched. The opponent is an ambassador from one of the countries suspected of privatizing the superpowers.

Although it is not yet a meaningful statistic because we have only found more than 300 superpowers, the number of superpowers in each country was proportional to the size of the country's territory or population. It is not abnormally concentrated in any region, such as oil. The ambassador's country, however, has reported that it has not found a single superpower, despite the size of its territory and population.

“Why is that?”

“Of course it's obvious that there's internal interference. ”

The ambassador snorted. You can see how many ambassadors are in tune around you. However, there were those who supported Jinsuk.

“But it doesn't even make sense. Plus, it's kind of an emergency. There are examples like the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty, so I'm not totally against it. if you don't really hide the superpowers, you can do enough. ”

“Once again, we strongly disagree with this issue that is no different from internal interference! And tell me the truth! It's as if everyone who opposes this agenda is accusing them of hiding superpowers! ”

From then on, the meeting became noisy. Because it is a sensitive issue, the opinions of each country are heavily conflicted. Of course, as there were stabbed people, the robbery escalated. Eventually, the U.N. Chancellor called a meeting.

“I don't think this is an easy conclusion. Let's deal with this issue separately later. ”

Controversy has subsided in the chancellor's words. The ambassadors were excited. But there were those who still did not hide their offending teas.

After that, some opinions came and went. But nothing was as big as the agenda that Jin demanded. Rather, these are trivial issues, all of which have been dealt with fairly well.

And finally, a final agenda.

“So about changing the name of the PPSO. ”

The Chancellor has spoken.

PPSO. Preternatural Power Study Organization of the United Nations is literally an institution that studies superpowers. When the PPSO was created, the United Nations named it primarily for its mission of managing and researching the emerging superpowers. Combat was a minor problem. The world did not want a new force of superpowers, but rather had a sense of concern, so it wanted to give this name and act accordingly. It was a symbol of a kind of pharmaceutical.

But things changed.

The usefulness of a group called PPSO was revealed, and their existence became indispensable as long as the military suffered extensive damage. The budget has been formally increased and the institution itself has been expanded, and unlike in the past, it has risen to the status of the United Nations' formal armed forces to combat the presence of this world. There was no more reason to name it blind and gloomy while researching.

The ambassadors didn't disagree much about the agenda. The agenda was passed, the name PPSO disappeared and a new name was given.

It was a new name for PPSO, commonly referred to as AMSS. A special device used to kill the beings of the second world, which are puzzled in the name of monsters. Of course, basic superpower management tasks would be automatically assigned, but the most important mission was the elimination of existences in the other world.

There was not much disagreement about this either. As long as all important agendas had already been passed, it was not important what the name of the instrument was.

That concludes the agenda for today's meeting. The ambassadors relaxed from their chairs and leaned against their backs in a tiring tone. Every day, the meetings took away their stamina and gave them fatigue. Moreover, most of them were older, making them more easily fatigued.

Jinsuk also relaxed the posture. In the end, sanctions were not passed for countries that sought to explore the superpowers themselves and put them within their influence, but the expansion of influence on PPSO and AMSS was as planned. And the solution this time is not entirely inconsistent. It's not that we don't have enough time, so we need to relax.

‘The rest of us will be well served by the American parliament. ’

Then we're almost done with what we can do now. Jin glanced at Washington for a moment at the U.S. Parliament.

* * *

The United States Congress, the greatest nation in the world, has been busy, just as the United Nations convened on a fictitious day in the U.N., has been devoted to its aftermath as it has since World War II. However, reduction of influence was inevitable. It was a shock for the United States of America to be proud to be the greatest police state in the world.

Today's agenda was about the weapons destroyed in this war. I had to produce it again, but I couldn't figure out where to start because how many antiques, the expensive weapon's pronoun, sank.

At that time, one congressman put a weird inside.

As Republican Senator Charles Trix's agenda of being successful in reelection at a relatively young age in his early 40s was conflicted. There was a councilman with a crazy look on his face who was curious about why, and a councilman with a grimace like he knew something.

“So Congressman Trix says we should lower the performance of the weapons we're going to build again? ”

“Yes, Chairman. ”

Trix nods to the chairman, short-lived of the point.

“What nonsense! ”

A rebuttal immediately appeared.

It was not a Democrat, but a Republican like Trix. Trix was a well-known figure. He wasn't a very friendly man. But he had some basic information.

'Obviously a senator with ties to the defence industry. ’

In advocating for the defence industry of the United States, he was persistently opposed to laws that were disadvantageous to the defence industry and often issued legislations that were favorable to the defence industry.

While most industries suffered damage in this war, there was also a business that profited. One of them was defence. Even among the falling stock prices of the line, the price of a single alcoholic drink represented that.

No one thought that the United States would just let go of the wiped out military forces. There was a Pride called the Greatest Country, and above all, it was at war. Even if the existences of this world retreat in Australia and remain motionless in New Zealand, we don't know when the invasion will begin again. Something terrible happened in Canberra because of such a brief carelessness. As large war bonds were already in place, all that remained was how many weapons the U.S. government ordered. And it was never going to be small.

However, Trix's remarks only sounded to reduce the budget for ordering weapons. If it weren't for that purpose, there wouldn't have been a sound to lower the performance of weapons in this time of war. There would have been forces that would have cooperated if it were normal. But now it was an exhibition. The congressmen who share Trix's thoughts looked forward to it.

“I don't remember giving Congressman Bread permission to speak. Sit down, please. '

The chairman calmly spoke to angry Congressman Bread, then looked back at Trix.

“This is a time of war. To be honest, the only thing I'm saying is that I sound crazy. There must be a reason, right? ”

“Of course.”

The chairman looks at Trix with suspicious eyes.

“Yes, why is that? ”

“It's the budget. ”

I hear laughter everywhere. There was a roar.

“Quiet! ”

I silenced the tumultuous Parliament and looked back at Trix.

“Even if we don't have enough money, we're at war. In the meantime, why don't we lower our performance because of the budget? ”

“You just need to increase the number of weapons. ”

Now the atmosphere of the parliament drives the male Trix into a fool. It has already been confirmed that one state-of-the-art weapon can outrank several decades of underrated weapons. Trix's remarks were ridiculous.

“Just like World War II, I'm going to blow up a lot of props. ”

Congressman Bred once again said, This time, I didn't shout like before. But it was a sarcastic thing to say. The senators near Bread are flocking. But Trix was not angry. Rather, he smiled and looked at Bread.

“Too far to prop. I don't want the weapon to degrade that much. ”

“That's not it. I can even make crazy noises to slow down a weapon in the middle of a war. ”

Bread now tugs his tongue away as if he were pitying the male.

“Of course, if we're in the same war we've been in, it's crazy. But the war we're in is different from the war we've been in. ”

Trix scours the congressman with determined eyes.

“The latest weapons have always been designed to deal with the same man. But what we're dealing with right now is not human. which means we may not need a lot of the weapons that we've developed to deal with the same human being. ”

The parliament was in a frenzy. Trix's words were surprisingly convincing. Brad was a little nervous about the mood of the reversed parliament. He raised his voice without even knowing it.

“There's no such thing. ”

“Like Stealth, for example. ”

Trix answered without hesitation.

“Stealth is obviously a high-tech technology, but it's only when the enemy has radar. But monsters don't have radar. ”

Several senators swallowed the murmur. Trix continues to speak.

“When the opponent doesn't have radar, the Stalls are just a favorite. We have to keep painting it, and we've designed the fuselage to spill, so it's less maneuverable than a viscous machine. If we give up one Stealth, we can save a huge budget. It's better to divert that budget or increase the number of weapons. And if you look it up, you'll see lots of examples like this. ”

“Even if the opponent of the two worlds is important, we cannot completely prepare for another country. ”

Bred reappears. But the power had already been reduced by one grass.

“Of course. Keep the latest weapons to a minimum. And this story isn't just about us. We need to negotiate with each country, or we need to formally ask the United Nations to negotiate with them, and let the other countries accept it. ”

Now, seeing the congressmen confronting each other and giving feedback, Trix concludes briefly.

“This is why I want to lower the performance of the weapon. ”

Then he added a note to his mind.

‘And it's your command. ’

When I was a child, I was an idol, a colleague and a rival not long ago, and now those who had become enemies, Trick looked at them with cold eyes.
