The World of Masks

Awakening

They hurried back home. Suddenly, the appearance of a stranger was enough to shock two people before they became adults. After elementary school, the two of them came running back as if they had never held hands since elementary school. They entered the entrance of the apartment and were afraid that a strange man would follow them in the elevator.

But fortunately, no one followed them.

When they arrived in the hallway in front of the house, they could barely sigh.

“Who the hell was that? ”

Once I was relieved, I started to question the identity of the man. But I had too few clues. The man seems to have come for Hannah, but Hannah doesn't know him.

The pandemic looked at Hannah.

“Go inside. Make sure you do it fast. ”

However, he was a man, and he took Hannah to this place while he was scared. He takes Hannah to the end.

“Uh-huh.”

Hannah nods small. Even Azak was afraid. The epidemic was understandable. He's a man, and he doesn't seem to be the man's direct target. Hannah's heart is still pounding.

But there was also a thought that accompanied him.

‘Beautiful.'

Hannah's appearance of looking up at herself like a little baby rabbit with frightened eyes was enough to make the heart of the plague beat in a different way. I want to protect you. There was a poor girl there I could hardly imagine. As the pandemic was a man, he bluffed.

“It's okay. He's probably just a spoiled brat anyway. You'll be fine if you're careful going forward. Why don't you come back to school with me for a while. ”

“Really?"

Bang! I really heard something like this. The heart of the plague sat heavily down like a baby deer looking up at her with a moist gaze. You nod without even knowing it.

Hannah smiled cautiously as if she was relieved.

“Thank you.”

“No, thanks. ”

I scratch the back of my head awkwardly and avoid looking at it. It looked like it was shredding.

“Then I'll go inside. ”

“Yes. Go inside and rest. Call me if you're scared.”

“I will.”

Hannah disappears into the gate. After that, he stood there like he was possessed by a doppelganger and said, "Hah!" I woke up. I rushed into the house after checking that no one had seen me like a fool, wondering if I was ashamed of myself.

Take your shoes off the porch and step on the floor. I went straight into the room and jumped into bed. I lay on my back and looked up at the ceiling without changing my uniform.

The rapidly beating heart does not appear to stop. I put my right hand on my chest. I felt a beating heart and a screaming pulse in my hand. I was worried that I might hear it out there.

The sickness laughed out loud. This palpitation was not a bad feeling.

But I didn't know what happened. The rooftop of the apartment across the street reflects veranda. There was a man who looked at Hannah with sharp eyes with an ominous smile.

* * *

Hannah had dinner with her parents in Dorado earlier today. Hannah's parents had no idea that a single smile would leave her face, unlike the parents of the temple. Their daughter, who is not in pain in her eyes, has received excellent grades in her qualifications. Since admission to Seoul University, Korea's top university, it's almost a matter of fact, no parent will be happy. That's why Hannah has been able to eat her favorite food on days when her parents don't come in late.

Of course, I didn't eat as much as I wanted. It's because she was sensitive to her appearance, especially to her flesh, because she was at an age when she wanted to dress up. The feeling was even more because she had been stuck at her desk studying for mastery these days without feeling overwhelmed (of course, her weight was perfectly normal, and her beauty was not obscured by her flesh). Rather, I was stressed out by the fact that I couldn't eat the delicious food in front of my eyes.

But every morning, with a single smile, every morning I say, "What do you want to eat today?” I couldn't disappoint my parents' expectations. Eventually, every evening, I was exhausted in the workshop looking for a compromise between taste and calories.

But it was fun. She was also excited to go to Seoul University, and even happier to see her parents like her.

So, later, she regretted not being able to get along any better with her parents.

After finishing dinner, Hannah returned to her room. I lay on the bed ignoring the instinct of the brain to add more food and stomach, which sends a subtle signal like I did not eat today.

Outside, I heard my parents clearing the table. Hannah tries to turn her thoughts to the other side, saying that dinner is already over for tonight.

Suddenly, I thought of earlier. First, I remembered the scary man. It would seem like a girl with Princess disease, but to be honest, Hannah was not used to the wicked eyes of men, which made me tired. However, there was something different about the man I met earlier. Like a snake crawling all over itself .

Burr!

Hannah trembles. I put a blanket over my head.

I didn't tell my parents what happened today. As a result, I didn't want to worry my parents for nothing.

Hannah tried her best to clear her disgusting, unpleasant eyes from her mind.

What passed through her mind at that time was the image of a childhood friend who stopped the man as if he were defending himself.

“Hehe.”

I smiled for nothing. Honestly, she didn't feel like he was a man. It was because they spent too long together and felt like brothers (actually brothers) rather than men, and frankly, the distraction was not very attractive as men.

But, to be honest, that epidemic was cool. Of course, he was not as handsome as the main character in the movie or drama, and he was terrified when trying to protect himself, but that did not mean that his actions were worthwhile. Rather, his desperate, desperate appearance might be showing his feelings even more.

‘Maybe a little cool . ’

He even told me to contact him if I got scared. Hannah touched her phone for no reason.

* * *

Even today, as the sun hides its footsteps, a blackness flashes in. Most people go to sleep. The lights of the apartment only came in a few furnishings in one room, and the rest of the house had the same darkness.

Jubbuck! Jubbuck!

Someone was passing by the hallway of the apartment. In the beginning, the apartment corridor was not as strange as it was a place where people often passed by. The problem was that this man was neither a resident of this apartment nor an acquaintance of anyone else.

He wore a black mask that covered half his face and pressed deep into the black beanie. You might think people are suspicious just by wearing that, but it was a big pair of sunglasses that covered the rest of their eyes. It was strange that they were using sunglasses primarily used to mask the sun's light at the same late hour. The rest of my outfit was too suspicious for fashion.

Boom!

He stopped at one of the doors. A huge iron gate to stop intruders.

It was Hannah's house.

Already everyone in the house fell asleep and didn't feel very popular inside. He grabs the handle and tries to open the door.

Heave-ho!

Of course, the door was locked.

“Cook!”

But he smiled shallow. It was a bitter, sticky, eerie smile.

Outstanding!

The door handle, made of solid iron, grows soft with its grip. The debris falls from the hood. He sticks his finger in the space between the handle and the door and breaks the lock completely.

He pulls his hand a little back. The handle and locks are completely broken.

He then broke the auxiliary lock. Only the right index finger, thumb, and two fingers protruded the keyhole of the auxiliary lock, and the lock was completely destroyed with one finger pinched in between.

Queek!

The two locks were completely broken, and the iron door lost its existence. There was a last burial of safety loops, but that didn't help either.

Cuckoo!

The one who broke both locks with just his fingers. The safety hook, which is much less intense than the other locks, crumples away like a bell.

Ultimately, the iron gate was completely open to strangers.
