The World of Masks

Prologue of Disturbance

"At that time, you didn't even know the basics about not doing anything conspicuous."

Even Philips could not use his head for such things. That's the saddest part.

They chewed on Abdullah and Pirips for a long time.

"We have to have a plan."

After insulting the two idiots, I felt somewhat relieved. But the reality hasn't changed. I had to come up with a plan.

Gather all spies and those who touch the ropes. We have to assume Abdullah and our connection are compromised. We have to assume that all the information he had about us touching the ropes and the detectors he had is gone. If we don't want to look like him, we need to weaken AMSS thoroughly and disperse the power.

"Hurry up with your plan."

The conspiracy wears off in the dark.

Meanwhile, Jin was working behind the scenes on the Philips case.

It's 2: 00 in the morning.

All other AMSS employees were off work. The light was on only in the gun room at the highest point of the building used as an AMSS building.

As soon as I learned that Abdullah was a traitor to humanity with God, I scoured all of Abdullah's sites. I was able to get information from the captives in Abdullah's lair and take out most of the buildings by mobilizing all the intelligence organizations. Enemies were also overwhelmed by the phenomenon of death of the supreme commander, and showed no significant movements such as the destruction of information. It was a perfect victory for Jinsung and AMSS, pushed at a rapid pace.

And Jinsuk was able to get a lot of valuable and valuable information.

"There is at least one collaborator."

He mumbled when he gathered the information he had obtained, extracted only important information, and saw the reports completely translated into Korean.

There was more than just a seat in the room. Eun-hee was there to judge the information as true, and Emilia was there to hear more about the situation that killed Philips.

"Is it Nidelbad, or is it a contractor?"

Eun-hee mutters, looking at the other copied report.

For Pan Chi Anne, Abdullah barely knew her, and she had no clear cooperation, so she did not know her.

"I guess so, right? Fabio and Nidelbad."

"Then Ueron was right. Looks like that's where they got the superpowered probe."

Eun-hee looked at the items on the side of the office.

In light of the fluorescent lights, there were many objects that sparkled gold and silver. It was the superpower detector that Jinsuk and AMSS were looking for.

Jin looked at them with a satisfied face. I felt good.

"I got a lot this time. Their information, their research, the disappearance of the Philips, and even the superpowers that were captured."

Jinseok looks at Emily.

"Well done. It's an excellent harvest for killing a god. Gods belonging to AMSS are adequately accessible, but they are too dangerous because they don't know where to scatter their belongings."

"But I found his face."

"It doesn't matter. It's nothing compared to killing a god. And I need a madam in the face of the world. There's got to be a use for the element."

Emilia bows. Her expressionless cheeks are slightly reminiscent.

Jinseok gets up from his seat and walks to the cupboard on one side of the armory. I took out three glasses and a bottle of alcohol. I set it on the table and filled the glass with alcohol.

"You know, in movies and cartoons, they do this a lot."

Jinsuk smiled maliciously and encouraged them to have a cup. Eun-hee raises her glass politely, smiling like a fool.

Soon, Jin began to talk. It was as exaggerated and dramatic as the monologue of the play.

"Come, let us toast, comrades. At last, we have achieved something profound. Should I be drunk on this joyous day?"

Eun-hee chuckles. Emilia, who was stubborn, lowers her expression and smiles deeply.

However, I raised my glass of wine regardless of the truth.

"To our glorious future!"

Bam!

The sound of the glass banging quietly rang in the room.

* * *

AMSS 'headquarters in Korea was still being visited by many people today. In the aftermath of killing a human traitor and destroying a god in Arabia, people's footsteps were more urgent than usual.

Queek!

A taxi stopped in front of the building.

Charles paid the taxi driver. He gets out of the cab with all his change.

I felt good when my feet touched the asphalt. After living on the sand and desert for a while, the paved roads are greetings.

Charles walked into the building, enjoying the Seoul air for a long time.

Several people came and went at the entrance. There were people with faces with Charles. They smile and greet. Charles waves happily.

I took the elevator through a familiar building. You press down on the target floor and lean against the elevator wall. It was only Charles in the elevator, whether he was free or not. I nodded my head, murmuring lightly.

Boom!

Signal has been triggered. Charles came out of the elevator.

"Hello!"

I greeted my secretaries with a wide greeting. They welcomed him with a big smile. There is no man who would hate the hospitality of a beauty. Charles' expression is pathetic. It seems that Ueron sighs inside, but Charles doesn't care.

"Sir, are you in there?"

"Yes, I'll be in touch."

The secretaries take Charles inside without hesitation.

Charles knocks lightly and opens the door.

"Excuse me."

The Chancellor's chamber is still there. He searches the room feeling a little nostalgic for days.

In the room, there was a pandemic and Hannah along with Jinseok. A joyous look spread over Charles' face.

"Welcome, Charles. You've done a great job this time."

"Ah-ha-ha, I'm ashamed."

Charles reacts with a slight shyness to the hospitality of Jin. Jinseok led Charles to the guest couch. The funeral and Hannah were sitting across from the couch.

"How are you?"

The bait gives Charles a big nod to his question. It was nice to have Charles back safely, who could be his teacher as well.

Charles was greatly satisfied with his disciples' hospitality. I turned my gaze to Hannah. She was smiling at Charles, too. But for some reason, I saw a slight shadow on her face.

'You haven't gotten over it yet.'

Charles kicked me in the tongue. Since the battle in Switzerland, Hannah's face has always been shaded on one side. It doesn't seem to have fallen apart from the shock of killing.

But there was nothing Charles could do. It was best to just ask Jinseok to take care of Hannah.

"But what happened? I'm sure you gave Charles a vacation."

Charles took a leave of absence for the past two weeks because he was injured after pulling a ball on a mission.

"That's the thing. I knew people had to do what they were doing, and when I lay down for a few days, I was frowning."

"You're a walker holic. Your wife won't like it when you get married."

"Is that so?"

Charles cries. Hannah, the bailiff, crouches small next to her. Charles scratches his cheek in an embarrassed manner.

"Well, what about my wife's second favorite taste? Anything?" "

So far, the atmosphere has changed considerably. Charles' solemn gaze pierces the truth. The distraction and Hannah who was smiling next to me were stiff. Charles is now a veteran with a few battlefields and barracks. The two of them who had just started their activities as superpowers were not able to cope.

However, the truth was a man who could withstand it differently from the two. No, I was a human being who could do anything to make things peaceful in there, not just to survive.

"There were many things. If you're curious, I'll give you a report."

Jinsuk picks up two pieces of documents on his desk and hands them to Charles. You look at Charles in that state, staring at him with your eyes dazzled by the spectacular presence of the dust.

"May I take it?"

"No, it's confidential for now. Come by if you want to see it. Oh, Mr. Yoohyun, there's yours too."

I called for a distraction to deliver this in the first place. Charles was on vacation, so I thought I'd give it to him later.

"I was able to get a lot of good things. a superpowered probe, a force that was linked to Abdullah."

"That's amazing."

"But what was most interesting was the plan to resurrect the gods."

At that moment, the movements of the people in the room stopped. I looked at him with an unbelievable face.

"The resurrection of the gods, like Ueron and Natia?"

Charles expressed people's questions verbally as a representative.

"That's right."

Jinsuk answered briefly. But the answer meant a lot. Particularly, the response of the morbidity was unusual. I felt like my face was distorted and I was looking forward to it, but it changed several times. Hannah looked anxious at the face of the plague. But Charles couldn't see their faces because of the seriousness of the story. Ueron was the same.

The only thing I noticed was the truth.

"It seems that after resurrecting the gods, they tried to rule this world. Conquest of the world is a dream, but if there was a real God in the background, the story would be different."

"Isn't it very dangerous?"

"Dangerous. So I have a question for Ueron."

To Me?

"Yes. If the gods are resurrected, will our kind be able to stop them?"

Impossible.

Ueron said, "Cut it out."

Though we are so weak that we are banished to the world that we must possess the humans here, it is God's name. God is the only one who can stop it. The power that's in Charles is enough for all of humanity.

"What? Was I that strong?"

No, not at all. I know I'm doing my best, but you're human. The power you can use is only a fraction of my power.

Just as Ueron argued that this was a disparity, Ueron denied Charles' words. Charles is bored with the pride of his voice. I saw a friend with a grimacing face next to the foreign car.

Did they figure it out?

That way, of course, we can resurrect the gods. I was excited by Ueron's voice. Perhaps he was better off finding his own power and moving around on his own than he was stuffy inside humans.

"No, I don't know exactly. God's resurrection plan seems to be led by Nidelvard. But it's the same degree of probability that we've identified. If he had succeeded, Charles would have had to deal with Philips, not Abdullah."

"And 100% dead, right?"

Charles asked me reluctantly.

"Most likely."

According to Ueron, no matter how much he grew up with God, the game itself did not seem to be established, so there was no chance that Charles could survive.

"Well, let's think about it. It means you can resurrect Ueron, Natia, and Einz. And if we do that, we get a tremendous amount of power. The gods will be able to kill the will of the world and return home."

Yes, it will be.

I was very excited by Ueron's voice. There is a way to go back to your hometown, which you only dreamed of.

"Then I should gather information about this Fabio and Nidelbad first. They may have the key to resurrecting God."

He said as if he had set a direction forward. Charles and Ueron nod.

But two, Hannah was the only one looking at the remains and the remains with an uneasy look on her face in the armory.

In the plague, Natia looked at them with worry.
