The World of Masks

Prologue of Disturbance

The manner in which a man's death is taken for granted. Here, even the man was furious. He's been a hunter so far, not a hunter.

But he struggled to contain it.

I took the time to run away from here without even arguing.

Taang!

Another round of gunfire. But even the guy was expecting it. I was just careless earlier. A gun, or even a pistol, is not such a threat to superpowers in the first place. A superpower of the breeze. It was the enemy of those with guns.

The man unleashes a massive storm on the trajectory of the bullet.

Phew!

Blood spatters. The burning pain rises from your chest.

"Chug!"

I can hardly breathe. No matter how much a man got hit by a four-foot bullet, he couldn't keep his head together.

Bang, bang! Bang, bang!

Even in my pain, I put the wind back on the front again. It was definitely the path of desire to live. But it didn't work again.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The bullets pierce through the man's torso, as if they were undisturbed.

Fluffy!

The man knelt. I fell straight ahead. Massive amounts of blood splashes through the ground into pools. The vision is blurred and my head spins.

How?

The man barely raised his head. I watched the stone walk slowly with my shaking eyes as if it were unbelievable.

"Why do you look at me like that? I told you I was a powerful man to deal with you, didn't I?"

Jinseok pointed a gun at me.

"Higher gunpowder and, above all, more special to OryHalcon ammunition. It's very expensive."

Duck Halcon!

A metal with the power of God much more expensive than gold of the same weight. The man only realized how easy the bullet was to break down his windshield and hit himself.

"It's so expensive, it's hard to popularize, but it's enough to carry a little."

Jinseok put a gun to a man's head.

I was terrified of the man's eyes. He gripped his teeth.

Whew!

The wind blows around the stone. The man's final act. A storm that would blow away without the ordinary person's body wrapped around the stone. But Jinsuk laughed and ignored the attack. The clothes were all crumpled up, but it didn't work well enough for Jinjin. The man's eyes are filled with despair.

"Goodbye, then."

Taang!

The gunfire strikes again, piercing the wind and putting a bullet in the man's forehead.

Even the man's body, which had been shot with multiple bullets, had not been able to withstand this attack. The man's face falls to the ground.

Huff!

The rushing winds have stopped. All that was left was a body full of wind holes.

Boom, boom!

Jinsuk touched the corpse with his feet for no reason. It was meaningless. The sharp sensation of truth had already felt the man's dying breath. It was nothing more than a prank.

Jinsuk approaches Hannah, leaving the man's body behind. She was still seriously injured, but not as life-threatening as before. Now that she's moved to the hospital and properly treated, she should be well recovered.

Two or two!

You hear the sound of the rotor. The small rumbling grows louder and louder from a distance.

"You've arrived."

It was an ambulance I had contacted in advance. Jin shakes his hand on the helicopter. The helicopter began hovering as it lowered altitude.

A few moments later, the helicopter in Hannah leaves for the hospital.

So the case was shorted.

* * *

Slowly regains consciousness. I blinked a few times. The sprinkled vision immediately began to catch things normally.

'Here.'

Hannah tried to get up.

"Aah!"

I felt pain in my back. I lay down again as if I could no longer stand up. I even made small tears in my eyes.

The pain made my mind clear. I turned my head carefully and looked around. It was a familiar place.

'Hospital.'

It was also a private room, not a normal room packed full of people in one room, as people would think. It seemed like a place that had been hospitalized before.

The room was the same as before. A cold space that is uselessly sized, making it more humble to be alone.

But something was different from then. The room looked no different. But Hannah's mind was definitely different from the old days.

"Why isn't it cold? '

In the past, when I was hospitalized, this large space was very cold. For her parents to die and be left alone in the world, this vast space seemed to show her true loss. Hannah tried to avoid that feeling because she hated it and hated it.

But now there was no such thing. Deserted by the plague, it is somewhat more serious than it was at that time.

That's when I remembered the situation right before I fainted.

The prince of salvation who appeared when he gave up all hope and held on to hope rather than only hope to ridicule himself, rather than merely hope.

'President Kim Jin-seok.'

I thought of the name.

What happened to him? '

In my memory, I remember the man who attacked me was shot down. Moreover, if the man was fine, it was likely that things would work out well if he could never live to see himself here comfortably lying in the hospital. But it wasn't that I wasn't worried.

Glug glug!

Then the door to the room opened.

"Oh, you're awake."

A nurse who appears to be in her mid-30s has now entered the room.

"How are you feeling?"

She grinds Ringer and asks.

"What happened?"

"What? If you ask me so vaguely, I can't answer you."

The nurse replied playfully. A cheerful tone shows that she is a sticky person.

Hannah pauses. Realizing that her questions were inappropriate, she refined what questions to ask.

But I couldn't ask him straight away.

"I'm sorry, but please ask your doctor that question. I had to report Hannah's injuries as they were quite serious."

The nurse leaves the room with one look down, apologizing. The fact that I had to report it to my doctor was the same as the fact that I was walking a little fast.

How long has it been? A doctor appeared to be her attending. He's probably the attending physician, since he's seen him in the hospital the other day.

"Hannah, you're awake. Thank goodness."

A small crease gives him a clue about his years. The old doctor smiled and said to her, with a calm impression. Hannah, who was about to wake up unconsciously and receive a conversation, collapses screaming again.

The doctor panicked and dried Hannah.

"You can't move now! Hannah's injuries were pretty severe!"

Hannah decided to follow the doctor. Honestly, I could not move now even if I wanted to.

Hannah looks up at the doctor and asks a question.

"How long have I been lying there?"

"Five days."

"Is it that long?"

"Hannah was seriously injured when she came in. If I was a little late, I would have been in trouble, and it was natural to lose consciousness for about five days."

"I see."

Hannah considers her injuries. It was definitely pretty serious. He was in battle with a big wound on his back when he was first hit. Moreover, there were not a few minor injuries sustained during the battle. More than anything else, there was too much blood.

"What happened to you?"

It was the next question. The lifesaver who saved her. Before he fainted, his appearance was definitely intact without any injuries, but he did not know.

"Sir? If that's what you mean by Director Kim Jin-seok, you're doing fine. By the way, was it President Kim Jin-seok who saved Hannah?"

"Are you hurt?"

"You were fine. That's when I found out you were the one who brought Mr. Hannah in. He didn't have a whip."

Hannah sighs of relief. I felt like I was relaxed. But there was still one more question.

"What about the man who attacked me?"

"I heard you were dead. I heard your gun turned into a beehive, but you'd better ask the Director yourself for more details."

"Yes. You're dead."

The man who killed her parents and tried to strangle Hannah twice, her biggest trauma, died. An unknown emotion shook in my mind. Is this joy or joy? Or the inability to take revenge? Sadness? As Hannah, I didn't know what it was like. Perhaps all of those feelings were blending together appropriately.

Hannah had to accept it quietly.

"Are we done asking questions?"

"Yes, thank you for your answer."

"No problem. I hope you get some rest. That way the wound heals quickly."

The doctor left the room with a few precautions to tell the nurse next door.

The room became silent again.

Hannah closes her eyes. I haven't figured it all out yet, but I wish I had known that he was alive and that he was dead. The rest later, the body craves more rest. Hannah did not go against her body's demands. Her consciousness begins to fall back into the deep sleep.

The fact that she did not ask questions about the prevalence that had been her will since her parents' death, Hannah was unconscious and the doctor did not know.
