The World of Masks

Prologue of Disturbance

That night, Hannah came out of the hospital and was walking down the hallway. It reminded me of an old thought. The only thing that comes to mind is when your parents died in a man's raid and you were hospitalized.

'I walked here at this late hour.'

When I think about it now, I was crazy at that time. The sadness of my parents' death and the fear of being left alone in the world were eating away at all rationalities.

Hannah stopped walking in front of the rest room at the hospital.

The place where the sickness comforted her when she was desperate. It was the first place where her mind and her distraction crossed.

Hannah sits on a chair that buries her face in the arms of the plague and spills out all the heat.

Just like then, there was a bustling city outside the window. The landscape doesn't change at all.

But compared to him, her mind was clearly changed.

I didn't feel any emotion or excitement sitting here in this place, which is a place of memories of the plague. Hannah could only fully realize that.

There is no longer a great presence inside of him.

It doesn't matter, does it? '

Right now, his relationship is just an outward relationship. I didn't want to end the relationship before, but his heart was already with the goddess who was in him. It was taken away.

There, she finally cooled off. Their relationship was already like that of Pattana.

I'm not a lover anymore. No, now I was wondering if I could see it as a friend.

'It was disgusting.'

As soon as I got back from the mission, the remains were still her lover and she came right away. To such an epidemic, Hannah treated him with the same smile as usual.

However, as opposed to that smile, her heart was distorted by extreme hatred, anger and disgust.

I fell for another woman and left her side, not believing what she said, even though she could be in danger. Not only that, he's a superpower who murdered his parents. It was one of those who held God Himself as the root of her misery.

'I was so proud that I was a superpower.'

The pandemic is quite simple. I could feel the superpowers' superiority in his speech and attitude. He looked down at the ordinary person as if he had become something. It seemed to be becoming a superpower that has become worrying lately.

"What's so great about superpowers? '

They're the same people who killed their parents.

The outrage and disgust against the superpowers released in this case has overwhelmed her body and mind.

And she, who was a superpower, was no exception.

I hugged myself with my arms. I can feel the fluttering. I wanted to tear this body, flesh, and bone apart and scatter it right away.

But I didn't have the courage. An ugly need for survival hinders the violence against Hannah.

'What do we do now?'

I sighed a long time. As soon as she became a good person, there was no one to help her with her problems.

At that time, one person suddenly passed through the brain.

"Sir."

The one who saved her when she abandoned everything.

My chest was pounding. Hannah lays her hand on her bountiful chest. I heard a heartbeat a little faster than usual. Hannah knew this feeling.

"Ha!"

A sigh leaks out.

Jin Jin is a married man. This love cannot be repaid.

'But I can't help it.'

I can't help but fall in love. Why is it that every love I make is this love? Hannah sighs again, overwhelmed by new worries.

* * *

A few days later, Hannah received Charles' medical report.

"Hannah, are you okay?"

Charles' cowardly attitude, just like his father, was quite ridiculous. This attitude was taken naturally because he was a particularly affectionate child while training directly with the plague. It looked like someone was treating their sister or nephew.

Hannah smiles bitterly and says she's fine, just like during the carnival. But Hannah's eyes did not see him as kindly as before.

'He's a superpower anyway.'

Moreover, he is a superpower who wears God like a plague. I instinctively felt resentment and disgust.

But there's no profit in being hostile to Charles. Hannah tried to deal with it as quietly as possible.

There were elements that helped her.

'The president is here.'

I can't be ugly in front of him.

Hannah wore a mask and treated Charles appropriately, just as she dealt with the plague. Then I started talking to Jinsuk. Jinseok also smiled, answering Hannah's words, and talking.

That time didn't last long. It's because he's quite busy, like Jinseok or Charles, so he doesn't stay long.

Hannah showed them out, feeling generous about Charles leaving, and sorry for Jin leaving.

The two of them left Hannah's room and spoke as they moved to AMSS.

"I'm glad Hannah's okay, though."

Charles sweeps his chest.

[The trauma seems to have healed a lot and there seems to be no aftermath.]

"Oh, thank God you're here. What if he wasn't here?"

Charles shudders and tires. If he hadn't gotten into the right time, it would be creepy just to imagine what Hannah would be like now.

"You'll be all right now. I often wish I could come to the hospital and heal quickly."

"Of course. You can come every day if you want."

In response to Charles' exaggerated answer, he smiled bitterly.

"Just ask Hannah not to be burdened."

I just added something like that.

"By the way, why didn't he come with us to greet us because he's so busy?"

Charles suggested that we go to the hospital with Jin and the plague. I thought Hannah would like it more if she came with her lover. Charles senses the creaking between the two of them. During this time, I was also going to try to mediate. But the pandemic refused with excuses.

"Yoohwan Seera · · · · · · · ·."

Jinsuk is cautiously lucky.

"Do you know that Yoohyun has been acting a little strange lately?"

Charles' expression is a little stiff. It's because Charles himself felt that way about the plague. As the pandemic went through this operation, the perception was amplified.

"Supernatural superiority?"

"I think so."

Charles sighs deeply. Hannah and her sister and her nephew were getting into such a trance that he confused his mind.

"Is that the worst idea you could come up with?"

"It seems that being a hero to us and everyone around us has had a counter-effect."

Jinsuk distorted his face as if he felt guilty.

"I really don't feel sorry for you. When Charles was concerned about that, he said he could lead us around, but this is how it turned out."

"Why is that your own fault?"

It was not because he was selfish. In fact, I saw quite a lot of thanks while floating the artifact as a hero. Above all, unlike Jin, who took a step back as the president of AMSS, Charles himself was standing in the position of a teacher who taught directly about the pandemic. If the sickness is crooked, Charles, his own fault is greater.

They left the hospital building. As soon as he came out, he walked to the study area. Charles follows, and he pulls a cigarette, as the topic is the talk.

"I hope Natia catches Mr. Yuan well."

Jinsuk said as he handed the cigarette to Charles.

[You'd better not expect that.]

In response to Ueron's surprise, Charles opened his eyes wide, as well as the truth.

"Why? Of course, I know it's hard for an animal to realize what's wrong with someone else's advice and regret, but honestly, isn't it quite possible for a pandemic to treat her?"

Charles asks Ueron.

[It's a matter of experience. I told you before, she didn't come between us like the rest of us.]

I remember hearing that and making fun of Ueron.

[She holds her place in the sky without ever interfering with humans. In other words, you have a very short interpersonal relationship. You may consider that there are very few skills to give her timely advice and guide people in the right direction.]

Unlike other gods who used to work with humans in good or bad terms, Natia did not come into contact with humans in good or bad terms. The pandemic is the first human being she has come into contact with personally.

[Of course, because she's so morally innocent, the plague won't stop her. But you better not expect her to be able to lead him on the right path expertly.]

"Then I guess I can't expect Natia's help either."

Once again, Charles' sigh overlaps with his true self.

"At least it's not serious yet. I'm not saying that out loud. It's just a little bit of an attitude. It's not too late. I'm really sorry to say this, but I need you to care a little bit more."

"Don't worry. I don't want to see a kid like my brother get twisted."

"Not like a son?"

"I'm not that old! You're the same age as the chancellor!"

Charles reacts vigorously to the laughingstock as if trying to blow off a depressing atmosphere. Jinsuk left the smoking room laughing loudly. When Charles looks unfair behind him, he follows.
