I had left the house before sundown, and by sunrise I had arrived in the kingdom of Elstadt.

Since I still have time to start the exam, I thought I'd eat some food somewhere, but I'm in a better shape to concentrate on hunger.

Plus, eating dinner might make me sleepy during the exam, so I decided to head to the exam venue with my footsteps intact.

The test site will be held in the capital of the Kingdom of Elstadt, in the square of the Royal Elstadt School of Magic in Elstania - the master had asked.

Elstadt School of Magic is a place everyone admires if you're a wizard. It's a sanctuary, so to speak.

This is the first time I've visited Elstania, but admiring a wizard, I naturally knew where the college was.

That's how I came to the exam venue without getting lost...... it was already busy with one of the large crowds.

Well, you deserve a lot of exams.

Anyway, this is the highest educational institution in the world, the Erstadt School of Magic.

... but you're free.

I might have been a little too hasty.

I still have time to start the exam, and I think I'll take a walk around that area.

Looking at a castle-like school building across the square, and thinking about it...

"Amongst these, is Ash Arkvald here!

And I heard a voice calling my name.

Who the hell called you?

I'll look around, but there's too many of them to know who called them.

"I'm here -!

I raised my hand and appealed to existence.

The exams that were nearby looked at me wandering, but they didn't seem to notice the one who called my name earlier.

Well, can't there be one?

I thought so, and I decided to jump.

Just jump lightly, of course.

If you do what you want, you'll push through the clouds.

"I am Ash Arkvard!!"

Jump about fifty meters, scream, and land.

Normally, I'm sorry about the fracture, but it's never been this shocking to me.

"What, I was drawing a rune now...?

"It didn't look like I used a magic wand (Withers Rod)..."

"Maybe you drew a rune in your head or something...?

"There may not be anything you can theoretically do... but there's no precedent, is there?

The exams whisper.

Maybe I did something amazing for everyone, but I think everyone is more amazing for me.

Because you can use magic.

Either way, it looks like they noticed it existed in the jump earlier.

The exam director and the man came to me.

"You're Ash. Dean Phillip told me to show you to the other room. Will you wait in the building over there? There's a sign called" Exam Venue II, "so you can go."

The examining director looked calm and pointed across the square.

"Okay."

I'm just headed over to the domed building across the square.

"What, did you just jump, without a magic wand?!?"

So I heard that voice, but I didn't know who said it.

Entering the domed building, Nanaka was like a circular arena.

It has a bowl-shaped structure and seats surround the square.

There was no one in the guest seat, but there was an old man standing in the middle of the arena.

He looked like a militant to see, a musculoskeletal old man.

Although his long hair was dyed white, he looked so young that he didn't think he was an old man.

The upper body is naked and exposes the forged muscles at all costs.

If the world was alive, it might have acted as a bodybuilder.

Thinking about that,

"Oh, come here, come here!

And the old man has invited me.

Go down the stairs as you are told, to the old man.

"Are you Ash?

"Yes... but what about you?

"I'm Philip Valmilion, Dean of this Academy."

"Doesn't it look the other way!!"

I stuck around unexpectedly.

My master and I look the opposite.

Assuming my master looked like Dean Philip, I would have spotted myself as a militant at first sight.

"Ho ho ho. It's the first time anyone I've ever met has ever said," It looks the opposite. "

Dean Philip laughs in a flamboyant manner.

How broad-minded of you to say you've been rude.

If you can learn under one of these, I'm sure... no, you must be a fine wizard!

With that in mind, Dean Phillip has bowed his head to me.

"Maurice told me about you. [M] We brave men have defeated the Dark Emperor. What a thank you..."

"Oh, keep your head up! I didn't do much! Because it was Zako!

I didn't think I could bow my head to the king.

When I said that in a hurry, Dean Phillip looked like that at first.

"Well, we humans were about to be destroyed by that Zako..."

"So, but they didn't destroy you! That and this is thanks to the Dean and Master of the College who fought the Demon King with their lives at stake! If it weren't for the deans, my parents would have been killed, and then I wouldn't have been born! In that sense, the Dean of the Academy is a benefactor to my life, and it's no exaggeration to say that I saved the world!

"You're such a good boy that I don't think Maurice raised you..."

"Thank you! I want to study magic under Dean Philip!

I make self-appeals all the time here.

But you don't have magic?

"You get magic in the mood!

The Dean laughs furiously after closing his eyes like he was taken lightly.

"You have a completely different personality, but the bloody thing about that sounds just like Maurice. You could really make it impossible."

"Yes! I will do my best!

"Mm-hmm. - But the road to the wizard is dangerous, isn't it? I have decided to pass the magic test, but it is your strength to pass the practical test."

"I'll do something about that in the mood too!

"Mm-hmm.... Well blah blah blah, if you defeated the Demon King with a piece of bread, you'll be able to pass at your leisure. Nevertheless, in your case, it's only after that that that it's difficult. Anyway, you don't have magic.... Well, if you have any problems, don't hesitate to say it. If there's anything I can do, I can help. Anyway, I'm counting on your help."

"Ha, ha. Thanks!

That great wizard Philip Valmilion appreciated me so much, there's no way I'm not happy.

I waited for the practical exams to begin as I endured the impending tears.
