A few weeks had gone by. Sunnie and her little tribe members were enjoying the harvest they had gotten from their farmland and were done processing and storing everything for future purposes.

While they lived in the bustling atmosphere of their home, Sunnie, Little Black, and the chipmunks decided to visit the farmland one day.

They weren’t done harvesting everything from the farmland. Some things were still left there to develop better and grow bigger for future consumption. So Sunnie would always come to check up on it.

While Sunnie and the chipmunks headed to the farmland, they couldn’t help but notice some strange marks on the ground—ones looking like paws and claws that could possibly belong to some animal or something.

They didn’t think too much into it. They decided to ignore it as they made their way to the farmland. When they finally got there, they couldn’t help but notice the bigger picture.

Sunnie and the chipmunks went into the farm to examine the remaining crops like they always did. While they were there, they instantly noticed that someone had been there.

Sunnie ran her hands through some crops that had been tampered with. While there wasn’t much damage at all, they still noticed the pattern.

"What the hell is that?" one of the chipmunks inquired.

"I think someone has trespassed on the farm," the leader of the chipmunks expressed. "Something is working toward destroying our farmland and taking all that is remaining," he explained.

Sunnie examined further as she said, "And I don’t think it’s just anyone. I think it’s some wild beast or something."

"Look at the prints," she showed them the pattern of claws and prints around.

"It could potentially be one of these wild beasts roaming this land," the chubby chipmunk expressed, feeling scared at the moment.

Little Black nodded as he said, "That sure does look like a print belonging to one of these beasts. Although it’s hard to tell which it could be, I’m certain of it."

They were quiet as they stared at the prints before them and the damage some of the plants had sustained.

"I think we should certainly do something before it causes further damage," one of the chipmunks explained.

Another nodded. "Exactly. And judging from the fact that we also traced these marks close to our home, I have a bad feeling about it—a feeling that this monster is finding its way back to our home."

The chipmunk leader nodded. "They’ve probably tracked down where the crops and food are being taken. So I have a feeling that they’ll naturally come to our place to attack when they’re done salvaging here."

Little Black nodded. "Exactly, that’s what they’ll do."

The chubby chipmunk blinked as he held onto the leader firmly, shivering in fear. "What are we going to do about it? What if these wild beasts come and attack us? They’ll certainly eat us all up!"

Sunnie stood there, staring at the crops at hand while thinking about the situation. It sure was a problem at hand—one they would have to find a way to deal with before it resulted in something else.

And so they all went back home after this to discuss it with the rest.

---

"I think we should take down those monsters," Karl said, arms folded. They were gathered around the fire that night, discussing the situation at hand.

"Yes, I also agree," Zayn cleared his throat. "If those bastards are going to be a nuisance, we should take them down even before they think of coming here."

Luka nodded as well. "I also think so. We can’t let them steal all that we’ve worked for on the farm. I can’t let them steal my hard work. So we should eliminate them before they come and steal the ones we have here."

They all seemed to agree with this. Everyone wanted them taken down as soon as possible. And since the beast husbands seemed strong enough to do so, they were cool with it.

They didn’t want to risk being attacked and eaten up by some wild monsters just because they had food.

But while they all agreed to this, Sunnie had other thoughts. She had already thought this over and over again the whole day, and she seemed to have something else to say.

"What’s wrong?" Azure asked her. "Do you have another solution? Maybe let us hear and see if we can go down that route?"

Everyone had their eyes on Sunnie.

"What other solutions could she possibly have other than taking down some impending enemies that clearly want to eliminate us?" Karl questioned. "Or does she want to feed them or something?"

Just then, Sunnie slowly nodded as she said, "Yes. That’s the plan actually."

"...."

"...."

Everyone paused, shocked and confused as they stared at Sunnie. They didn’t seem to understand what she meant by that and how that was even a good idea to start with.

"Huh? You’re going to... feed them?" Luka inquired.

Maren blinked. "Mama, why would you do that?" The little one had grown to a reasonable amount—she had grown to the equivalent of a ten-year-old, while Ronan was that of a seven-year-old.

"Mama, you can’t give the bad guys food," Ronan explained.

"Yes. If we feed them, they won’t just leave us like that. They’ll probably come for us next as soon as possible," Eris nodded while explaining.

But Sunnie smiled as she shook her head. "No, no, that’s not what I’m talking about. I don’t necessarily mean feeding them all we have for them to leave us or anything."

They stared at her, confused. "Then why feed them?" Azure inquired; he was curious to understand what she was thinking about.

Sunnie hesitated with a quick smile as she said, "Feeding them to protect us against bigger threats. That’s what I’m aiming for at the moment." She explained with a calm smile as everyone stared at her with shock and confusion written all over their faces.
