Chapter 181: Taken down, and...
More hyena beastmen attacked Sunnie. But as they came, they fell. Sunnie effortlessly took them all down while still carrying Maren in her arms like a bag of chips.
She kicked two in the chest, sending them flying through the woods. She punched another on the cheek, sending his teeth flying through the air while the beastman staggered backward and fell.
The scene was rather chaotic. The more they came, the more Sunnie beat them all up until they fell flat on their faces.
Soon, they were all beaten, and their leader was the only one standing. He stared in immense shock. "Useless! How could you not even handle such a female? Useless!"
But Sunnie scoffed as she stared at him. "Why don’t you try?"
Maren repeated, "Yes! Try!" She stretched out her tiny fist as though she was ready for a fight.
But the leader looked around. His men were down, and he was the last man standing. He knew he couldn’t take down Sunnie, especially with the beast husbands around. So he didn’t bother.
"You... I’ll come back for you all!" He turned and rushed off, abandoning the rest and running away. When the others slowly got up, they saw that they had been abandoned as well.
They didn’t waste any time. The hyenas all rushed out of the scene in fear of Sunnie, who had left their whole bodies aching.
With them gone, Sunnie cleared her throat as she stared at the others. They were looking at her with shock and amusement.
She watched her husbands blink as Eris raised a thumb while nodding. "Well done... well done..." he expressed.
Luka slowly brought his hands together to clap, flashing a proud smile. The women all joined in as well, clapping, impressed.
But Sunnie didn’t seem bothered. She shook her head as she approached them with Maren in her hand. But immediately, she paused.
She felt nauseous. A rush of pain shot through her stomach as she felt immensely dizzy. Sunnie shook her head, trying to stay clear, but she couldn’t handle it.
Immediately, she went unconscious and slowly fell. But Maren was quick enough to jump out of her mother’s arms while Luka rushed to the scene.
Luka quickly caught Sunnie and swept her off her feet as everyone stared in immense shock.
"What’s wrong?" one of the women asked.
Eris and Luka had already gathered around her. "What happened?" Eris asked. "Did she get hurt while fighting? Do we need to go and take down those hyenas?" He demanded.
But Elza rushed to the scene. She bent down before Sunnie and ran some tests. She ran her fingers through Sunnie’s neck, chest, forehead, and hand. She checked Sunnie out for a while as others stared curiously for her answer.
"What’s wrong with Mummy?" Maren inquired.
But then Elza stared up at them and said, "Prepare the cave right now. She’s about to deliver her cub."
"...."
Everyone was shocked at how sudden this was. But no one questioned it. There was no time, so everyone began running helter-skelter.
The beastmen rushed to prepare the cave for the delivery of the beast cub while the women went to prepare the medication she would need before and after her delivery. It was a rushed moment, so as the adults ran from one place to another doing something, Maren and Mii stood there staring.
They didn’t understand what was happening, so they simply stood and watched.
"What’s happening? Why are they running around like that?" Mii asked.
Maren shrugged as she shook her head. "I don’t know either." They both stood there, watching.

The necessary preparations had been made as the unconscious Sunnie was taken into the cave. The males were urged to stay outside while the women stayed inside with Sunnie, helping her deliver.
They started by feeding her some medication while she slowly regained consciousness. But her whole body was in pain. The women soothed her body with the medications before they proceeded with the delivery of the child.
Outside, the beastmen paced back and forth, nervous about what was happening inside. Especially Luka. He never sat down.
He kept pacing around, asking from time to time, "Is it out yet?"
"How is she?"
"Why is she screaming?"
"What’s happening? Is she in trouble?"
"Should I go in and help?"
But they all glared at him before he shook his head and said, "No, she’d kill me."
He was more nervous than anyone there, wondering how the delivery of his cub would go and if everything would go smoothly. He was also nervous to meet his own cub. It was the first time for him.
Karl and Eris glared at him.
"You should sit down. You’re making us even more nervous," Eris urged him as Karl folded his arms.
But Luka couldn’t. He would sit down for a second and then get up to pace around again.
Maren and Mii noticed the atmosphere as they rushed close to Azure.
"Papa, what’s happening inside?" Maren asked Azure, leaning close to his lap.
Azure smiled warmly at her, patting her hair. "Mama is bringing out another baby. You’re going to have a sibling soon."
The little ones didn’t understand the logic behind it, but they understood the message of having another little one here.
They both stared at each other and smiled happily.
"A little one is coming?" Maren was excited. "Mama is bringing another baby!" She happily rushed toward the entrance of the cave.
But she didn’t go in. Little Maren stood by the entrance, both hands clenched behind her back, chin raised as she stood there staring at them. "I’m going to guard the cave so Mama can be safe!" She stared fiercely at them. "Mama is bringing another baby, so everyone should keep quiet!"
She ordered as Azure smiled at the scene. He watched the strict Maren, who was guarding the cave, tempted to take a peek inside to see what was happening from time to time.
