Chapter 57: Ambassadors
He smiled. "Earlier before you arrived, I was speaking with my son, and he couldn’t stop talking about the ways of the great one."
"He kept speaking about how intriguing her tricks were and how he wanted to learn such tricks. I couldn’t help but watch his eyes glitter as he spoke of this. And then I asked him if he wished to go with the great one to learn and experience with her."
The tribe leader smiled with a sigh. "My son didn’t speak because he was probably scared since he was the heir and had responsibilities."
He added, turning to his son. "But dear son, don’t worry. Your father is alive and still strong. Which means you still have years to go."
"You have my permission. You and your sister can go with the great one and learn in your youth. Grow in her wisdom so you can be a greater person and leader in the future. Okay? I send you two off as ambassadors of our land so you can be assistants to the great one."
He said with a smile as he stared at Sunnie. "... That is, if the great one accepts my request to take my children under your care."
Zukka and Zuna were clearly overjoyed. The smiles lit up on their faces upon hearing the news.
Now they turned and stared at Sunnie, anticipating her response.
Sunnie blinked. She was happy about the news. She liked the twins. She thought it would be fun having them around to help. But she was worried if she could take care of them; she didn’t really have enough to take care of herself and her husbands!
But then again, she believed they would find a way through her system.
She smiled. "Of course. If they’re enthusiastic enough to join me, how can I possibly turn them down?"
Zukka and Zuna let out a smile as they stared at their father. They were simply overjoyed.
The tribe leader nodded. "Thanks for your consideration. I leave my little ones in your hands and hope you will teach them your wise ways."
Zukka and Zuna knelt before their father and bowed in appreciation.
"Thanks, Father, for granting this for us!" they both said.
Their father smiled at them. "Don’t worry, it’s my honour to have my kids under the great one."
He added, "And again, I’ll also have my most trusted guard and right-hand man follow you and protect you from dangers. He is a young warrior, so nothing will happen to you."
He added, "Don’t forget to send a message home if anything happens or if you need any help. And you can also visit or come back when you wish to." He smiled.
They bowed again and thanked their father greatly.
After that, the tribe leader and the elders thanked Sunnie for all she did and appreciated her for taking the children with them.
"Don’t mention it. It’s my pleasure," Sunnie could only smile.

After that, Sunnie had to round off her stay here. She had to make finishing touches to what she had already started.
Sunnie checked on the patients and confirmed that they had already recovered. She showed the women the needed medication for follow-up action and how to take care of the patients. It was her way of putting some power in the hands of the women.
Then she told them all what to avoid and what to do and take to stay healthy.
After that, Sunnie told them about the waters. It had been cleaned now, so she gave her instructions on maintenance and all.
When she was done with all these, Sunnie and her companions made their necessary preparations to leave the tribe.
The people of the tribe celebrated them. They threw a little fest to bid them farewell. They appreciated Sunnie who had helped them and also celebrated their heir who was leaving with the wise one as an ambassador.
Sunnie, Little Black, Zukka, Zuna, and the five beast husbands stood at the exit of the tribe as the people gathered to see them off. Singing and celebrating them while the men brought in the gifts the tribe leader had prepared for Sunnie.
The tribe leader and the elder also came to see them off, standing and watching as the men brought in the gifts.
They were packs of foodstuffs for them—exquisite meals and fruits. It was the best type of gift they could consider giving.
The tribe leader also brought forth the guard who would be going with them to keep Zukka and Zuna safe.
He was a young beastman who was tall and mildly built. But he was a strong one, one of their strongest soldiers. He only had a brown lion cloth around his waist and some beads around his waist too. Some beads were also on his wrists, neck, and ankles. And then he had a band around his head that fastened his dark, longer hair.
"His name is Atan. He will protect you well enough. I trust him," the tribe leader said as he sent Atan to go stand with them.
Sunnie appreciated all they had given them—the meals and then the bodyguard. "Thanks a lot. We’ll make good use of it. You’ve been so nice to me; we’ll forever remember it."
The tribe leader nodded with a smile as he asked, "The gifts might be a bit too much for everyone to carry. Would you like some of our men to take them to your land instead?"
Sunnie shook her head with a smile. "Don’t worry. I have it under control. I have my way."
The elder smiled. "I suppose you’re a goddess after all."
Sunnie smiled. She only had a system, five husbands, and an upcoming pregnancy, though.
"Do we need all these though? It’s only going to be stressful to carry," Karl muttered, reluctant.
"Of course we need it. We most certainly do," Luka smiled, eyeing the meal before them. He definitely couldn’t wait to taste it all.
After they were done celebrating, they watched as Sunnie left with her companions after they had managed to carry the gifts with them.
