Zayn and Karl ignored the eyes that were on them and made their way into the tribe. They walked past the onlookers and soon arrived at their destination—the heart of the city.

As soon as they walked into the broad scenery filled with houses, trees, and people, all eyes fell on them.

The warriors who were training had paused. Warriors composed of tiger and eagle beastmen. They had their weapons firmly in their hands as they turned to stare at the tiger and eagle standing in their midst. It certainly didn’t take too long to recognize them.

"And what are they even doing here?" one asked in between mocking laughter.

"Aren’t they ashamed enough? After all these years, they still have the guts to crawl their way back to this tribe? What even gave them the audacity?"

Another laughed. "Shameless indeed!"

Karl had a cold expression as he turned and stared at them. "Maybe if you people weren’t too shameless and lazy to demand food, then maybe we wouldn’t even have to step foot in this disgusting land."

"...."

Speechless, they stared at each other and then back at them. They were offended.

"You... shut up! How dare you talk to us like that? Huh? Have you no shame? Monstrous men like you walking around as if you deserve to be here! Don’t you know you all should be locked up somewhere and killed?"

"Exactly. Wild monsters roaming around. And even the evil forest couldn’t take them off. How despicable! And they even have the guts to bear cubs and raise a family in the evil forest."

One shook his head. "Having cubs with that useless jinxed rabbit female. Pathetic! They are all just pathetic monsters that should be killed!"

They all laughed as Karl glared at them. He was okay with them talking down on him, but as soon as they mentioned Sunnie, he instantly clenched his fist. His expression went cold as he was about to attack them, but Zayn held him back.

"Calm down," he urged him.

The beastmen around burst into laughter.

"What? He wants to attack us? What is he going to do? Kill us?"

"Oh, I’m so scared! The monster wants to harm us because we said the truth!"

"Useless wild beasts who should be killed off!"

The warriors all stood there mocking and laughing at them while Zayn and Karl struggled to stay calm, glaring at them.

Then at that moment, they heard someone say, "And what’s happening here?"

It was a familiar voice—a voice that all respected. Everyone went silent. They all paused and turned to stare at the two figures approaching.

Two huge figures approached, both looking a bit older but still as strong and as muscular as they could be. The tribe leader of the eagle tribe and the tribe leader of the tiger tribe had just stepped out of their cave.

They had been hosting a meeting together in there and had stepped outside as soon as they heard some commotion. And then they met Zayn and Karl.

The tiger tribe leader smiled as soon as he saw them, while the eagle tribe leader had a calm, cold expression.

"Finally," the tiger leader smiled. "I didn’t think you’d accept our humble invitation and make your way here. But look... here you are." He smiled as he looked around. "We sure are happy to have you here!"

Zayn and Karl didn’t smile. They stood and stared at him with cold expressions. It was certain they weren’t happy to see them.

The eagle leader scoffed as he said, "I didn’t expect you to accept our invitation and come. And you made it faster than we thought. That’s interesting." He smiled as he put both hands behind him. "Since you’re already here, why don’t you come in and have a drink with us while we discuss the details of everything further?"

The tiger leader smiled as he said, "Yes. Please come in. I mean, we haven’t met each other for ages now. We should sit down and catch up over some drinks."

But Zayn and Karl still held their cold expressions. They said nothing for a while as they stared at the two of them, studying their expressions and environment before Zayn said, "I don’t think we’ll need any of that. We’re definitely not here to drink anything or catch up on anything."

Zayn said firmly. "You should know why we’re here. So let’s get it done with so we can leave this trash hole of a place. Spending a minute here isn’t anything to be happy about," Karl expressed coldly.

The tiger leader laughed as he said, "A trash hole? I see. You even have a choice to speak, huh? Look who’s talking." He smiled with both hands behind him as he approached them.

"You should be happy that we invited monsters like you two and accepted despicable souls like you in our tribe. You should be grateful and accept whatever kind gesture we have for you." He stared coldly at them. "Not be all cocky. You don’t have any choice at all."

Karl stared back at him. "We don’t need any choices. We only want to get this done. Hand over the little rabbit, and everyone will be happy."

The tiger smiled. "Is that a threat?"

"That’s a request," Karl said. "You should at least have a brain to be able to process that."

The eagle leader clenched his fist as he scoffed. "Pathetic," he muttered as he turned. "If you’re not going to cooperate, then you might as well get lost. Come back when you’re ready for it."

The tiger leader turned and walked off.

Zayn stared at them as he said, "If you’re looking for our food, then I don’t think you’ll be getting that from us. We don’t plan on handing anything to you at all. So you should present a different condition, because that won’t be working at all."

The tiger leader smiled as he said, "Is that so? Giving us an option?" He sighed as he said, "Too bad, because I don’t have time for that."

The tiger turned and stared at them with a smile. "Because if you’re not here to fulfill our demands, you might as well get ready to be locked up."

Karl and Zayn stepped backward, pulling out their weapons as they looked around. They could pretty much tell what was happening because the warriors around had immediately surrounded them.

They pulled out their weapons, standing around them in a circle and ready to take them down.

Zayn and Karl looked around with their backs against each other and their weapons out. They already saw this coming.

Zayn smiled as he stared at the two tribe leaders standing at a distance and staring at them. "Is this what you’ve resorted to then? More petty tricks?"

The tiger leader smiled as he said, "If you can’t be of help to us, then you might as well get out of our sight. Or more importantly, be our bait for a greater achievement." He smiled, knowing he would use them to bait the others into coming.

Karl scoffed. "Pathetic."

But the tribe leader didn’t even bother. The tiger instantly demanded, "Take them down. Capture them at once and throw them into prison immediately."

With the command, they attacked—all pulling their weapons and striking.

A fight erupted on the scene. Zayn and Karl defended themselves from the crowd of warriors attacking them from all corners. But the fight didn’t even last that long because they were soon overpowered.

They took Zayn and Karl down on their knees, placing their weapons over their necks. They were surrounded, and they didn’t move a muscle but looked up at the tribe leaders.

The tiger leader laughed as he stared down at them. "Was it that fast? I didn’t know the great wild beastmen could be taken down this easily." He laughed more as he said, "I guess you are not as strong as you were."

He folded his arms, shaking his head as he said, "Too bad. I guess staying in the evil forest has weakened you. And your silly little wife has even made you two fools and weaklings. Pathetic, if you ask me." He shook his head as he turned. "Throw these two monsters into prison. I don’t want to see their faces."

He said as he walked off with the eagle tribe leader, both stepping back into the cave.

Zayn and Karl knelt there, staring as they walked back into the cave with fury burning through their eyes. They watched as they left while the warriors pulled them up.

"Get up now!"

"Staying down there won’t help you!" another said as they violently pulled them up without consideration.

"Move!" They pushed them through the paths, leading them off to the cave where they’d be locked in.

The two didn’t bother fighting. They didn’t even bother looking back as they were pushed away. Soon they were out of sight and thrown into the prison cave.
