Chapter 61: Chicken Soup.
Sunnie was surprised by the fact that the system had given her a mini storeroom for this stuff. And looking in, she saw enough pots, plates, and cooking utensils she’d definitely need—enough for everyone.
And then there were some ingredients she would certainly need for garnishing her meals to perfection. Salt, different types of pepper, seasoning powders, and so on. They were more than she could count.
She smiled at the scene. "I guess the system can be really helpful with their rewards," she said as the rest came to stand behind her.
They were shocked at the mini store and the things in there. Little Black and her husbands didn’t remember seeing it there before they left.
"Wow, where did all these come from?" Little Black inquired.
Sunnie smiled. "Well, it’s a surprise, I guess."
They stared in awe as Sunnie got out the necessary tools—the pot and stuff.
Sunnie made the arrangements. Setting the wood with the help of Zuna and Zukka, who were more than happy to help. They arranged it and then started the fire.
Little Black and Sunnie’s husbands sat there, watching her cook.
She got out the ingredients and mixed them into a clay pot. Sunnie then added water, which was also available in a container in the mini store.
In another pot, Sunnie had the twins help her boil the meat after giving them instructions. They happily followed. Sunnie was impressed at Zuna, who was really good at cooking.
They were done boiling the meat, and Sunnie was also done preparing the soup with the ingredients she had specifically gotten out for it.
As Sunnie cooked, she couldn’t help but feel rather nauseous for some seconds. But she brushed the thought off, perhaps she was tired, she said.
The beast husbands watched her cook as the aroma filled their nostrils. They couldn’t help but take it in; it was different!
"That..." Luka sniffed. "That smells so nice."
Eris nodded. "I agree."
Karl too had sniffed it and couldn’t help but deny liking what he was smelling. He scoffed. "She’s probably going to poison someone else with this one."
Little Black rolled his eyes. "You can skip eating if you don’t want to. No one’s forcing you, though."
Karl cast him a cold glare. "You little brat, I’ll eat you if you don’t keep quiet."
Little Black stuck out his tongue at him, pissing him off more.
Azure smiled as he watched Sunnie cook. "You’ve been walking all day, aren’t you going to take a break or something?"
Sunnie shook her head. "Don’t worry. I don’t feel tired at all," she smiled. "If anything, I feel like I have a lot of energy to pour into work," she said, cooking.
"Ah..." Azure slowly nodded as he turned to see the others staring at him, their eyes judging. "What?"

Sunnie had taken her time preparing the meal. Soon, she was done. The huge clay pot contained a mixture of soup and meat, perfectly garnished with nourishing ingredients bound to make anyone drool for more.
Sunnie was proud of what she prepared after she was done tasting it. She smiled. "Dinner is ready."

Sunnie had suggested they dine outside, and they bought the idea.
Everyone sat in a circle around a fire as Sunnie and Zuna served everyone the meal in their bowls. The aroma was enticing enough for them all to stare into their bowls, wondering what delicacy was being served.
One of the mouse women smiled as she drank from the bowl. "This is so... I haven’t tasted anything like it before."
Another agreed. "Me too. Did you make this?" They stared at Sunnie, who nodded.
"I did, with the help of my assistant," she pointed at Zuna. Zuna smiled shyly.
"It tastes so good," the male mouse commended as they all enjoyed the meal. They were clearly hungry as they drank and ate it all up.
Sunnie smiled watching them. "Take it easy, there’s more. And it’s not running away."
Zukka and Zuna had also started eating, and Little Black joined in. All enjoying the cuisine.
"I think this is the best I’ve tasted," Zukka smiled. "It’s just so different and good. What’s it called and Where did you learn such?"
Sunnie smiled. "Well, it’s a specialty from my homeland," she explained. "Let’s call it chicken soup"
He nodded enthusiastically.
"I certainly wish to learn how to prepare it as well," Zuna expressed.
"Don’t worry, I’ll teach you as well."
Sunnie turned and stared at her beast husbands, who weren’t eating yet. She sighed. "What? You still think I’d poison it or something?"
They stared at her without saying anything. With what happened to Azure, she guessed it was normal for them to be cautious. She sighed. "Well, trust me this time." She stared at Azure. "I was careful enough in preparing it. So there’s nothing wrong. Trust me."
Azure stared at her, meeting her smile.
"If they won’t eat, I can take theirs," Little Black stared at them.
"Shut up, you," Eris snapped.
Azure smiled as he ate from the meal. The others watched him eat for a while. He smiled. "This certainly tastes amazing..."
Luka didn’t even wait for him to finish before he took a bite. He had been holding back for too long. And immediately he ate it, he felt a thousand flavors dancing through his tongue.
He smiled as he saw the vision of a thousand versions of little him dancing in his eyes. He was in love with whatever he tasted. "This.." he smiled, feeling as though he was ascending. "This tastes so good!"
He didn’t hesitate. Luka immediately ate up the whole plate without hesitation and looked at Sunnie. "Can I have more?"
Everyone couldn’t help but laugh as Eris also took a bite with Zayn.
Zayn gave no expression, but Eris nodded as he drank it with Zayn. Eris nodded. "This tastes good, actually..."
Zayn said nothing but continued eating while Karl didn’t bother.
Sunnie smiled as she watched them eat.
