Chapter 149: Fresh Air.
While they tasted the meat pie, everyone was simply impressed by how magical it tasted. They hadn’t tasted anything like it, and it was one of the best they had ever had.
Immediately, they turned to ask her endless questions.
"How did you learn to make such a thing?"
"Did you learn it on your own?"
"What type of meat is this?"
"Please, I can pay you all you want! Can you come and make more for me?"
Suddenly, they weren’t scared of the infamous jinxed rabbit anymore. Everyone was trying to get close to her for tips on her great meal. They were instantly intrigued by it that they didn’t dare discriminate against her at the moment.
Sunnie smiled proudly as she watched them enjoy her creation. At that moment, all she could think about and hope for was that they would win this round with this meal.
Because only then could she gain what she came here for and make the best use of it.

The announcement of the winner of the cooking competition and the overall winner of the contest was moved to the next day in the morning.
So everyone went back to their homes, anxious to know who would be the overall winner the next morning.
It was hard to tell at the moment. Both the bear tribe and Sunnie were praised for their cooking. Even though Sunnie received the most praise, it was still hard to predict because the bear tribe with their resources and connections couldn’t just lose like that.
So it was difficult to tell who was winning between the two. But it was already obvious to everyone that the two were the only possible winners now.

That evening, Sunnie thought about possible backup plans in case these people pulled some strings. At least she had to do something to make up for their loss if that happened.
To think better, Sunnie stepped outside for a stroll that night. She wanted to clear her mind and perhaps come up with something.
With both hands behind her, she strolled through the tribe that night, admiring the scenery while also thinking of what to do. As she moved, she walked past some natives. They weren’t giving her the cold shoulder anymore; some were now smiling and waving at her.
Sunnie returned the gesture to them. She guessed good food could really change one’s opinion of you.
While she was strolling, Sunnie caught sight of something.
She saw some little animals running past her. She paused to take a closer look, but she couldn’t even tell what animals these were.
"What are these little ones doing in the boar tribe?" she wondered as she decided to follow where they went to see what they were and what they were doing this late at night.
While she moved toward their direction, she heard someone yell from where these little ones had rushed out.
"And don’t ever come here again! Greedy things!" A chubby boar beastman had snapped from the general kitchen cave.
Sunnie could now tell that perhaps these little ones had gone to get something to eat—or rather steal something to eat—but were caught and chased off in the process.
Sunnie was now more curious to know who these little ones were and why the hell they were comfortably running around the boar tribe without being killed and just chased off.
She moved toward their direction. While she moved, Sunnie suddenly heard a loud scream from behind.
Shocked, she turned to see who it was—only to see Luka on a tree. He was holding onto a branch firmly as though it was his lifeline.
Surprised, she stared up at him. "What are you doing up there?"
Luka forced a smile as he jumped down from the tree, brushing off the dust from his body while he stared at Sunnie. "Eh, well, I thought I saw something, so I..."
Sunnie smiled. "You were scared."
His cheeks flushed as he looked around, changing the topic. "Where are you going so late? It’s dangerous outside. I saw you leaving and decided to follow you."
Sunnie smiled as she turned and continued moving. She couldn’t miss the route these little animals had taken.
"I came to get some fresh air..." she said as she continued moving. Luka instantly followed behind, as if scared of encountering anything else.
Sunnie added, "And then I saw something, so I was going after it to see what it is," she explained.
"Huh? You saw something? What is it? Is it safe to go after such things?" he inquired while following her closely.
"I guess we’ll know that when we see what it is," she said, moving through the route.
Soon, they arrived at a spot, and Sunnie went behind a huge tree to hide. These little animals had taken a turn close by and stopped there. So Sunnie had hidden by the tree to see what was happening.
Luka was standing openly. "What are you doing...?" But Sunnie instantly pulled him by the hand and pulled him to her side to hide as well.
The force of the pull was so strong that Luka found himself brushing his hands against Sunnie. Sunnie was busy looking at the other side after the pull, trying to get a glimpse of what these little animals were and what they were up to.
But Luka had his eyes solely on Sunnie.
His heart was fluttering as he stared at Sunnie. They were extremely close now. Their bare bodies were touching, and Luka had started sweating without even noticing. He couldn’t help but stare at Sunnie’s face, stare at her lips. He couldn’t help but think about what had happened that night.
Their lips meeting, her tongue clashing into his in the heat of the moment—that electrifying feeling brushed through his mind as his heart raced from the thought alone.
And at that very moment, he also certainly couldn’t stop his bulge from hardening at all these thoughts.
