Chapter 242: Goodbyes.
Little Black paused and stared into the hole with Luna. He sighed as the two of them stared at each other. Luna blinked with her big eyes without saying anything.
"You... you’re just looking for ways to drive me crazy, huh?" Little Black asked, but Luna said nothing. She simply stared at him.
Little Black turned and walked up to Sunnie. "Sister Sunnie! She has done it again! She ruined my precious stone!"
Sunnie smiled as she stared at Luna, who was innocently standing there and staring at them. She shook her head at her. "Luna, how many times have I told you not to bother Uncle Black again? I already told you to leave his important stuff alone."
But Luna blinked without saying anything. She simply stood there staring at him without any words. She couldn’t talk yet.
But Luna turned and stared at her brother playing. Immediately, she bent down and grabbed one of the toys he was playing with and ran off.
"Hey... Luna..." Eris tried calling back, but the little girl was already running off. Ronan chased after her for the play without even meaning to catch her.
Immediately, Lune started crying after his toy was taken away. That was all he could do—sit around and cry when his things got taken away by his sister or when she did something to him. He never went after her; he just cried.
He sat there crying in his tiny little way.
"Oh Luna..." Sunnie shook her head as she stretched out her hands and carried Lune in her arms, comforting the little one who was sobbing. "My little boy is so soft and calm. Luna needs to stop bullying you, okay?"
While the women smiled and talked about the fascinating contrast between Luna and Lune, Zuna and Zukka soon walked into the scene with their guard, Atan.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up at the twins. They were all dressed up and a little packed as if they were going somewhere.
People could guess that they were actually going somewhere. "Where are you going to...?" Sunnie inquired.
Zukka and Zuna hesitated with a smile. They stared at each other quietly and then at Sunnie while they said, "We’re heading back home."
As soon as Zukka announced that, the atmosphere grew quiet. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to stare at them.
"Home?" Little Black blinked as he asked, confused. "Going home...?"
Zukka nodded as Zuna explained, "Dad requested that we come home. I think it’s for something important. So we’re heading back."
No one said anything for a while. They stared at them while staring into the distance without saying anything.
But Sunnie smiled as she said, "Okay. You certainly have to go home and be with your dad. At least stay with him for the meantime."
Zuna nodded as she smiled, clearly trying to hold back her tears.
"Thanks for letting us stay all this while. I swear we did learn a lot while staying here with you. We also enjoyed ourselves while staying here," Zukka said as he looked around. "It was fun being with everyone here and experiencing everything. Thank you for the experience... Miss Goddess."
Sunnie smiled with a nod. "It’s an honor to have you two around. It was really a blessing. I can’t believe we’re already parting like this."
She stared at Zuna, who was already sobbing. Sunnie smiled as she gently dropped Lune and got up to her feet. She stretched her hands out, and Zuna rushed to crash into her open arms in a warm hug.
The two of them hugged for a while as Zuna cried and sobbed in Sunnie’s arms. Sunnie held her firmly while trying to hold back the tears from invading her eyes. "There, there. Don’t cry... okay? It’s not the end for us at all... okay?"
The two of them pulled back and stared at each other as Sunnie smiled. "It’s not like you’re running away forever or something. Eh? I know your tribe, and it’s not so far. Maybe one day we’ll certainly visit for sure. Or maybe you can even visit us. Okay? So don’t cry at all."
Zuna nodded while holding back her tears as she said, "Thank you for everything. I promise I had the best time of my life with you. And I also did learn a lot. I learned to value myself more as a female... I learned that I can independently do what I want... And I also learned different tricks and delicious meals through you... I... I..." Her tears couldn’t help her talk as she crashed into Sunnie’s arms in another hug.
They hugged for a while as Sunnie patted her head and said, "You can always keep what you learned in your heart and work with it. Always remember your worth as a female, no matter where you are. Always remember that you too are a goddess. Okay?"
She stared into her face with a smile, cleaning her face. Zuna nodded with certainty. "Of course I’ll remember."
While they got all emotional and Sunnie’s beast husbands came to bid them farewell while wishing them all the best, everyone soon joined in to bid them farewell, expressing their emotional goodbyes while trying not to cry.
Even Maren and Mii came crashing into Zuna’s hands. The two girls were crying hard in her arms, knowing they’d miss Zuna. The three of them had bonded so much as ladies, with Zuna telling them stories about her tribe and the tales of upcoming young ladies.
Maren and Mii were always intrigued by her stories and couldn’t wait to grow up and become the upcoming young ladies in the stories she’d tell.
Now that she was leaving, they were simply sobbing hard.
"Don’t worry, I’ll certainly come to visit you. Okay?" Zuna assured them.
"We’ll come and visit you first!" Mii and Maren insisted in between tears.
Ronan was crying in Zukka’s arms. He was certainly going to miss the one who always fed him secretly when he was hungry.
