Chapter 135: Restore a meal.
They stared at her, a bit skeptical about how that would be possible given the condition of the meal.
But Sunnie assured them, "Be patient. You’ll have something to eat. Something delicious," she assured them with a smile.

Eris and Zukka helped set up some firewood outside their wooden house and started a fire. Azure was taking care of Maren—which had almost become his full-time job now—while Zayn and Karl reluctantly helped gather some mini ingredients Sunnie had requested.
Sunnie had gone through the system for some tips and instructions. It presented all she would need to restore the meal to an edible condition.
She bought some ingredients from the system, spending about 1,000 heart coins for them. After she had gotten everything she needed, she proceeded with restoring the meal.
Her four beast husbands, Zukka, and Little Black stood at the side watching curiously. Sunnie placed the pot on the fire and allowed it to boil while adding water. She stirred it for some time and then moved to the next stage.
Sunnie counteracted the rotten taste and smell with fresh ingredients that were picked from around the area and mostly from the system. She added, stirred, and tasted to see if she needed anything else.
It wasn’t easy; it took some time, but she worked on it with the needed dedication.
While she was preparing it, some people were moving around.
Some beastmen from other tribes saw them and couldn’t help but laugh and mock them.
"And what are they doing now? Do these monsters want to burn down the house given to them or what?"
Another scoffed, "They should be grateful that they even got a meal. Why are they trying to remake it again?"
"Ungrateful people indeed. They have lived in the evil forest for ages and haven’t even seen a decent meal. Now that they’ve seen one, they’re being picky? Ungrateful!"
"Can they even prepare anything? They just want to poison themselves some more."
"It’s better that way! At least they can kill themselves and set us free." They laughed.
But Sunnie ignored them all and continued what she was doing. She worked on the meal with all the information and ingredients she got from the system.
In a short while, they all noticed the clear difference.
Little Black and Eris sniffed. Maren joined them; the three of them sniffed hard. "Huh? Is it just me or... does that suddenly smell heavenly?" Little Black inquired.
Eris sniffed. "Is that the same meal from a while ago? It smells so nice..." He approached and looked into it. "And it also looks so amazing... wow."
Maren sniffed some more, her stomach grumbling. "I’m hungry, Papa. I’m hungry, Mama," she said after smelling the nice aroma coming from the pot.
Sunnie was done as she added the finishing touches, stirring it nicely with a smile. "Get the plates ready. Dinner is ready."
Little Black, Zukka, and Eris didn’t hesitate; they went back inside to get everything ready.
The beastmen around who were laughing at Sunnie and the rest while waiting for their failure suddenly paused.
Their expressions froze as they all stared at Sunnie’s cooking place. "Huh? Is that smell coming from there?"
They sniffed some more. "I think so..."
"How’s that possible? Wasn’t their meal the worst? I thought they got the spoiled meal. So why is there suddenly an amazing aroma coming from their pot?"
"I don’t understand either. What happened?"
They sniffed some more, staring at Sunnie, who was happily stirring and taking a sip from what she had prepared. She had a bright smile on her face as she enjoyed it, leaving them all speechless.
"How’s this possible? It smells so nice." They were already drooling.
"I want a taste of that so bad..." another added.
"We can’t fall for it. Let’s go!" another insisted.
They wanted to leave, but the smell kept them around—standing and staring at Sunnie’s pot while wondering how such a magical smell could come from her pot.
"Can we go and ask her for a taste?" one asked, swallowing his saliva.
"Let’s go," another slapped his head as he dragged him off. But some people were still hanging around, enjoying the smell coming from that pot.
They desperately wanted it but couldn’t bring themselves to go and ask.
They stood there watching as Sunnie took her meal inside with the rest. Inside, they shared and dug into the meal.
Everyone was stunned at the change. The meal that had looked and smelled like dirt suddenly tasted like the best thing they had ever tasted.
"You really are a goddess!" Little Black was impressed. "How did you even make this possible?"
Sunnie smiled as she shrugged. "Well, I just pulled some strings with ingredients and stuff, and I guess it worked out."
Eris nodded. "I have to say, this is really nice. I really thought I’d starve to death tonight, but you saved the day again." He smiled at her. "I wish I was in the mood; I’d certainly reward you with a kiss."
Sunnie smiled at him. "Well, there’s nothing stopping you from that. I’m always ready." Sunnie teased him back.
"You... I just can’t tease you further in peace." Eris shook his head and continued eating.
Sunnie smiled, watching them enjoy their meal. She watched how happy and satisfied they were. Karl and Zayn were happy with the meal and enjoying each bite even though they didn’t say it. She also smiled as she watched Azure feed Maren, who happily ate like there was no tomorrow.
"Easy... Don’t choke. There’s more for you; it’s not running away," Azure said while feeding her.
Sunnie smiled as she looked around. But realizing that Luka still wasn’t there made her sad. She figured he would be the one to enjoy this the most. And this made her wonder where he could be.
