The atmosphere went quiet as Zayn and Karl stood there staring at the two figures lying dead on the floor.

Their eyes remained on the two tribe lords for a while, watching them struggle through their last breath until there was nothing to struggle for. Then they were no more.

The silence echoed through the atmosphere for a while as everyone stood and watched. The warriors didn’t do anything. They had nothing to do but stand and watch.

Amidst that silence, Sunnie slowly stepped into the scene. She walked up to Zayn and Karl, who stood there with heavy hearts, staring down at the two tribe leaders.

Slowly, she took Zayn’s hand. Sunnie gently took his hand and stared through it, scanning through the injury he had obtained on his hand during the fight.

She also took Karl’s hand and stared through the same injuries, quietly observing with a soft smile and without saying anything.

After that, she said, "You two are hurt." She said as though nothing had happened just now. She ignored all of that to pay attention to her two husbands as she added, "We need to take care of it before it gets worse and hurts more."

The two of them stared at their hands and stared up at Sunnie. The warmth from her eyes, words, and smile was enough to comfort them. Without further words, the two of them slowly nodded.

On seeing what had happened and how their master was just taken down, the warriors instantly turned and stared at each other.

They knew they needed to do something. Running didn’t seem to be an option because they knew they couldn’t escape. So they went for the other option.

Immediately, they all went down on their knees before Sunnie and her beast husbands.

Sunnie and the rest were rather surprised to turn around and see the beast warriors from both tribes on their knees, clearly begging to be forgiven and set free.

"Please... don’t kill us... please let us go or just take us as hostages!" They had a feeling that if Sunnie and her squad could make such a brilliant plan to take down their masters, what more did they have installed for them?

They couldn’t compete for sure!

"Yes! Please don’t kill us! Please forgive us! We were only acting based on instructions!"

"We’re sorry for any indirect harm inflicted on you two in the past. We’ll spend our lives paying for it if we may... but please... forgive us." They pleaded.

The beastmen were on their knees, begging to be set free. While they begged, Sunnie and the rest stood there staring at them.

For a while, they didn’t say anything. They simply stared at each other and then turned to stare at the beastmen who were begging.

They continued, "...We were just following orders from them. It’s not like we wanted to do all they said."

"Exactly... they’re so scary. They kill people off and harm our families if we don’t do as they say. They threaten us a lot, so we’re forced to follow their words."

"Yes, so please... for the sake of our family and all... please forgive us and punish us if you may... but please don’t kill us off."

They kept begging and begging as if their lives depended on it. Sunnie said nothing.

Sunnie believed it wasn’t her say at all. She didn’t have the right to make the call here, so she casually turned to Zayn and Karl. They were the two people who were hurt from all this, so at least they had the ultimate say here.

They were quiet. Zayn and Karl stared down at the warriors for a while before Zayn slowly walked up to them.

The beastmen shivered while they continued begging to be freed. But Zayn casually sighed as he said, "We won’t kill you."

Karl added, "We won’t harm any of you." He turned to the two tribe lords who were on the floor, dead. "We’ve already ended the people we were after."

As he said that, the warriors went silent. They stared at each other and stared at Karl, hopeful. The news had them for a while as they digested it.

Zayn added, "We’ll let the tribe live and be. We won’t harm anyone else here. On the other hand, you will also have to keep to the promise that will be made here."

They stared up at him, curious, as the beastmen slowly got to their feet. "What is it? Just say it, and we’ll keep to it!"

Karl hesitated as he said, "We’ll leave you. But you’ll also have to make sure to leave us. From now henceforth, we don’t want to see your faces anymore."

Zayn added, "Don’t come for us... and we won’t come for you. We don’t want to see any of your faces anymore."

They stared at each other and immediately nodded. It was something they were willing to work with—never to appear before them anymore, let alone attack them at all.

"Yes! We’ll do just that. We won’t approach any of you anymore. We won’t even plan to scheme at all. We’ll stay within our limit," they promised.

Karl hesitated as he said, "Make sure you keep to that." He said as he ran his eyes through them. "Out. Get out of our sight," he insisted.

Immediately, the warrior beastmen instantly got up to their feet and ran off. They didn’t even wait at all. They had been let off, so they left their presence before they changed their minds.

Soon, they were out of the scene, leaving Sunnie and her squad there. Sunnie watched them leave with a subtle smile on her face. Then she turned and stared at Zayn and Karl again.

They weren’t smiling over their accomplishments, neither did they have sad expressions on their faces. They had neutral expressions while they stared at each other and stared at the two tribe lords on the floor.

She smiled. She could tell that this was what had bothered them for long. They had finally faced their greatest trauma in life.

They had faced those who put them through hell in the past and finally brought them to an end. Now they stood there letting it digest in the melancholic atmosphere.

She didn’t say anything. For a while, no one said anything. They simply stood there staring at them and letting the silence linger while the two of them let it fill them up.

After a while, Sunnie slowly stared up at them with a smile. "Are you okay?"

She asked as the two of them stared down at her. Zayn and Karl were mute for a while, their expressions unreadable.

Then Karl let out a soft sigh as he slowly took Sunnie’s hand in his, stared at it, and then smiled into her face. "Thanks."

Sunnie raised an eyebrow. "Thank me? Why? What did I do? I didn’t do much... you two were the ones who did all the work here. We simply stood back and watched."

Eris and Luka nodded in agreement.

But Zayn smiled as he said, "It was all thanks to your plan that everything worked out... you pushed us to face our worst fears and conquer them."

Karl nodded. "Now I understand that was your plan all along—to make us face what we’ve been scared of the most. It was all your plan, right?"

Sunnie smiled with a soft smile. "I guess it all worked out well in the end." She stared at them. "To move on from something in your past, you have to face it and get over it. And I’m glad you were able to do that."

She smiled as she added, "I’m so proud of you."

As she expressed, Zayn and Karl quietly stared at her without words. One could see the emotions running through their eyes as they stared at her.

Karl soon pulled Sunnie closer to himself and wrapped his arms firmly around her, enveloping her in a firm hug.

Sunnie was surprised. She didn’t see that coming. But she didn’t complain either. She casually smiled as she pulled him closer for the hug.

As the two of them hugged themselves firmly, Zayn and the rest stood around staring at them.

Eris folded his arms with a smile as they watched the heartwarming scene before them.

"Most times I tend to forget how much of a softie Karl was," Luka sighed.

Eris nodded. "Yep. He sure is a softie indeed. But I guess he got used to getting all cold and building walls to protect his emotions that he forgot that about himself too."

Eris smiled as he said, "I’m glad to see that coming back again. With this, I’m sure he’s going to get better."

Azure shrugged. "Well, he was already opening up to the female a long time ago. She was already slowly breaking through his walls. I guess she has finally done so."

Luka nodded as she said, "I guess the female really is a goddess after all."

"Our female," Eris corrected.

"Our mate," Azure emphasized as the three of them smiled, watching the heartwarming scene before them.
