Sunnie arrived at the mini store room and went through what they had.

"See? Not enough for a decent meal," one of the ladies explained.

Sunnie observed what they had. Perhaps they didn’t have enough to make the traditional meals they’d eat. But Sunnie knew they had enough to make what she wanted.

"So what are we going to do then?" Little Black was worried; his stomach had grumbled.

"We can go and hunt down some ingredients right now if you want..." Zukka suggested.

But Sunnie smiled as she assured them, "Don’t worry. This will be enough for what I want to make."

"Huh? Is that so?" Little Black was excited again.

She smiled at them. "Yes. Don’t worry. I can make these work."

The lion tribe gave them some foodstuff, but they didn’t give them everything one would cohesively need to make full meals. You’d have to get some other needed ingredients yourself. Luckily, Sunnie had some stuff in her mini storage room and her system that could help.

"Are the pots washed up and clean for cooking?" Sunnie asked as Little Black excitedly stood straight.

"I’ll go and clean them up and get them ready!" He didn’t hesitate. He rushed off to get to work. Zuna smiled as she turned.

"I’ll go help her out."

Sunnie folded her arms as she looked around. "I’ll need some help with the cooking and all..."

The women happily chorused, "Don’t worry, we’re here at your service!"

Sunnie smiled. "Okay then. I’ll really appreciate it."

"Can I help in anything...?" Azure inquired.

Sunnie looked around. "If you can help me get water... I think that would help..." There still wasn’t water around.

Sunnie thought they had to find a means to have access to water soon.

Azure immediately agreed. "Sure! Don’t worry. We’ll handle that." He grabbed Luka by the hand against his will.

Luka glared at him. "What? What we?"

"We’ll be going to get the water for you. Rest assured."

The mice beastman added, "I’ll come along."

Luka blinked. "But..."

"Don’t you want to eat?" Sunnie raised an eyebrow.

Luka nodded. "I do. I do. I’ll go," he agreed.

[Ding!]

[Mer husband and Bear husband are being obedient]

[Host has succeeded in making them listen]

[You’ve pulled two beast husbands into assistance!]

[Bonus: +1,000!]

Sunnie smiled. At least the taming of her wild beast husbands was getting somewhere.

Azure pulled Luka as the two of them left. The mice beastman followed with Zukka and Atan.

Sunnie glared at Karl and Zayn, who were still sitting there. She sighed, not having much to say to them.

"What?" Karl asked. "What are you looking at? I’m not doing any work."

Sunnie thought for a while and then scoffed. "Sure. I know. I’m not forcing any of you." She suddenly smiled as she left with the women to get the ingredients and stuff ready for cooking tonight.

Karl was confused. He was expecting Sunnie to snap and preach at him to work too. But she suddenly smiled and left.

Now he couldn’t help but wonder what she was up to.

---

By the time Sunnie and the women were done preparing the ingredients and stuff, Zuna and Little Black were done with washing the needed items.

Those who had gone to gather the water had also arrived with what they got in some bowls. They kept it for Sunnie as she assessed them.

They weren’t clean.

"Is this even drinkable?" one of the women sighed, worried. "Aren’t we going to get sick from this?"

Another nodded.

"There really isn’t any good water around here in the evil forest... aren’t we doomed...?" she inquired.

But Sunnie casually shook her head and said, "Don’t worry."

Little Black added, "Sister Sunnie has a magical trick for making the water usable. She did it for us one time and also for the lion tribe."

Zuna nodded. "Yes. She’s a goddess."

Sunnie smiled as she instructed them to set up the fire. The women did without hesitation as Sunnie put the water over the fire, waiting for it to boil clean.

The baby at the corner in her mother’s arms was crying loudly into the night. They hadn’t eaten in a long time, so the little one was already extremely hungry.

As she cried, everyone turned their attention to the little one whose cry filled the night.

Karl frowned. "Noisy..." He muttered as Sunnie cast him a cold glare. He was quiet.

Sunnie slowly got up from where she was waiting for the water to boil and slowly approached the woman sitting with her crying kid.

The woman pulled her cub closer as Sunnie approached; she was scared. She was always looking scared from the trauma she had gone through in her land. She was clearly afraid of what would happen to her and her little one even after they were in a safe land. Sunnie could tell.

But Sunnie let out a warm smile as she slowly bent down before them. She stared at the mother, who was looking down at her little one. "Your baby is so adorable even when she cries..." She smiled. "... Can I touch her?"

She asked, but the woman said nothing. She quietly sat there, holding her baby.

Sunnie smiled. "I see..." She said. "You probably don’t still feel safe... and I can’t force you to feel safe... I’ll just let you experience safety at your own pace..."

She smiled as she stared at the baby, who was still sobbing. She smiled at the little cute baby with mice ears and tail. It was so little that Sunnie was scared it might get hurt from being touched.

She smiled at the little one as she said, "Hey little one, do you want a gift?"

The baby was still crying as Sunnie put her hands at her side. She summoned her system store to make a purchase.

Sunnie then purchased a little brown play rattle for the little cub.

She smiled as she got out the rattle.
