Soon, the staff member led everyone to the villa’s entrance.

Chen Mo took a look at the villa’s exterior. It was basically identical to what he’d seen online.

He paid close attention to the details of the exterior walls and didn’t find any issues.

After all, it was a villa that had been renovated just two years ago, so there shouldn’t be any problems in that regard.

"There are shoe covers by the door. Please put them on."

After putting on his shoe covers, the staff member used a key to open the villa’s main door.

Chen Mo and Wei Luyao put on their shoe covers and followed him into the villa.

As soon as he stepped through the front door, Chen Mo’s attention was captured by the living room’s eight-meter-high ceiling.

The marble floor beneath his feet reflected the light and shadow of a three-tiered crystal chandelier, and a spiral staircase coiled upward like a ribbon of silk.

It wasn’t just the floor; Chen Mo noticed that the accent wall was a single, massive slab of marble with a unique grain.

One look was all it took to know that a lot of money had been spent on the renovation.

The open-plan kitchen connected to the dining room and was equipped with a central island countertop.

Sliding doors opened onto a 30-square-meter courtyard.

The villa had three floors above ground and one basement level.

It was fitted with an elevator for moving between floors, though one could also take the stairs.

The second floor had two bedrooms with bay windows, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

The entire third floor was a master suite, complete with a walk-in closet, a master bathroom, and a terrace off the study.

The basement level had been converted into a gym and a media room, and it also had a temperature-controlled wine cabinet.

A satisfied expression appeared on Chen Mo’s face when he saw the basement.

’I can work out at home in the future, and I don’t even need to convert a room for gaming—it’s ready-made. The temperature-controlled wine cabinet is nice, too. I have a few good bottles at home that could be stored better.’

Afterward, the staff member gave them a few more details.

The entire house used a central air conditioning and underfloor heating system, and the two-car garage had direct access to the entrance hall, among other features.

It also had a courtyard, where one could plant some flowers and herbs.

"Not bad."

After a quick tour, Chen Mo was very satisfied with the villa’s layout and decor.

Of course, what satisfied him most was the price.

Having seen it, Chen Mo had already decided to buy the villa.

He glanced at Wei Luyao beside him and saw that her eyes were wide with amazement.

She seemed to be completely stunned by the decor of the luxurious villa.

"What do you think?"

Chen Mo asked with a smile.

"The world of the rich... if you don’t see it with your own eyes, you can’t even begin to imagine it."

Wei Luyao said with a sigh.

She knew mansions were luxurious.

But as for *how* luxurious, she’d never seen one and couldn’t picture it.

Now that Chen Mo had brought her to see one in person, she felt like a whole new world had opened up to her.

"Don’t get lost in thought. Help me find out about this villa’s property information, like whether there are any existing leases."

Chen Mo smiled and gestured toward the staff member.

He hadn’t forgotten the reason he’d brought Wei Luyao along.

"Okay, leave it to me."

Wei Luyao immediately shifted into professional mode, patting her chest with a fair hand as she confidently walked over to the staff member.

"Hello, I’d like to ask..."

Wei Luyao offered a polite smile and greeted the staff member.

"Hello."

The staff member nodded at her.

But when he noticed the canvas tote bag in Wei Luyao’s hand, he paused for a moment.

"Are you from Hua Zheng?"

he asked Wei Luyao.

"Yes, I am."

Wei Luyao nodded.

"Then I’m your senior. I was in the class of ’12."

A smile finally broke through the weary expression on the staff member’s face, which had been worn down by overtime.

"Oh, hello, Senior! I’m from the class of ’22," Wei Luyao said, her eyes lighting up with a cheerful grin.

"Class of ’22? So you haven’t graduated yet. Who’s your advisor?"

"Professor Liu..."

The two alumni immediately started chatting.

More than ten minutes later, Wei Luyao returned to Chen Mo’s side, looking completely at ease.

"I’ve got it all figured out."

Wei Luyao said to Chen Mo with confidence.

"That fast?"

A hint of suspicion appeared in Chen Mo’s eyes.

"That guy is my senior from university. He even knows my advisor."

"I told him I was helping a client verify the risks associated with this villa and asked him a few questions."

"In the end, he not only answered the questions I asked, but also told me things I hadn’t even thought to ask."

Wei Luyao was very grateful to her senior; he had proactively pointed out some issues she had missed.

It helped her identify and fill the gaps in her practical knowledge, and she learned a lot from the experience.

Hearing this, Chen Mo gave her a surprised look.

’Damn, she really has connections.’

"So, are there any problems?"

Chen Mo asked.

"Basically, no."

"The title isn’t mortgaged, there are no ownership disputes, and it’s not under any long-term lease contracts."

"No one usually lives here, so after you buy it, the transfer can happen immediately and you can move right in."

Wei Luyao relayed everything she had learned from her senior to Chen Mo.

She also handed Chen Mo a notebook with various pieces of information written inside.

It looked quite professional.

"Did you ask him why it failed to sell at the first auction?"

Chen Mo looked at her and asked another question.

If that was all true, then why did this amazing villa fail to sell at the first auction?

After all, the villa was excellent in every respect and had no ownership disputes.

You could transfer the title and move in right after buying it.

It should have been a highly sought-after property.

But it failed to sell the first time.

It didn’t make sense.

"My senior said it probably has something to do with the original owner."

Wei Luyao glanced around before leaning in and whispering to him.

Hearing this, Chen Mo nodded thoughtfully.

’That seems to be the only possible reason.’

By this time, everyone else had also finished looking around and had a general understanding of the villa.
