This Time, I Became the Fiance of a Duke’s Daughter. But She is Rumored to have Bad Personality, and Ten Years Older

19. Request from the Sorcerer's Association Exorcism of Dragon Species......? 2.

When Jared and Laurenz enter town, they move around checking to see if there are any late escapees or leftovers in the building that are half-destructed while maintaining a certain distance from each other.

"Anyone?

"No, I don't have anybody. How about that one?

"I'm not alone either. That's crazy......"

"Weird? If no one was injured, that means the residents could have escaped, right?

"That's true... I think it's different."

I was uncomfortable with this town itself, not that there were no people late on the run or injured.

Continue further into the town centre with an eye out for Laurenz. Again, no one is alone in the building that collapsed, as well as in the building that is safe.

"I finally realized the discomfort... there's no sign of escape"

"What?

Even when a dragon species strikes, humans sometimes try to bring something up when fleeing.

Hardware and memorabilia are good examples.

Not everyone, not all of them, takes precedence over life, but so far there's no indication that anyone has brought things up as one. Of course, I can tell you I didn't have time for that, but I don't think so.

There are other discomforts.

Not a drop of blood has fallen.

If the Warcraft raids the town, everyone escapes. Vigilantes and others may stand up to it, but they are part of the residents. I don't believe in vigilantes and do anything to stay in danger zones.

If you try to escape, you panic, and some escape with us.

Some fall, others suffer injuries from late escape. Even the dead leave. That's the Warcraft raid. Jared has seen such an unpleasant sight many times.

But even though this town has been attacked by dragon species more terrible than the Warcraft, the traces of the raid are thin.

The building is collapsing, and the ground is crushed. We can determine that a fairly large dragon species has been ravaged, but that's all.

"Maybe we could have detected the danger ahead of time and escaped, huh? As far as I'm concerned, I hope all the residents are safe."

Explaining the discomfort, Laurenz guesses, but something is still different.

"I'm fine, too, if the residents are safe. Let's move on anyway. If the residents are safe, I want to make sure."

Definitely uncomfortable with the whole town. But if the residents are safe, I'm glad.

When they reach the center of town, they face off.

It must have been a beautiful city in the past. There is a shopping mall and a fountain and flower bed are set up in the square. It could have been a relaxing place for the residents. But everything was destroyed.

"That's terrible... is this the dragon breed"

"It's the first time I've been so terrible."

"Should we think it's just better that we haven't found any human damage?

"I don't know"

trying to take the square to the back of town. At that time,

"Jared! That's a hell of a lot of blood!

There was a lot of blood in front of me.

Red liquid spreads like a pond on the cracked ground. If you look closely, there's also a red splash in the wreckage of the building.

"No way, there are many victims out there?

"No, it's not. This is dragon blood. Touch it, I feel magic."

Jared points out that the dreaded Laurenz gently touches the blood that seems to belong to the dragon species.

"... I really feel magic. I wouldn't know if I didn't touch it, but it's pretty intense magic. Definitely not human."

Not only dragon species, but many warcraft that can use witchcraft are more powerful than humans. The intensity of magic is not proportional to strength, but because the Warcraft is called the Warcraft, not the Beast, it possesses magic.

Humans, by contrast, are weak in magic. Even a mage who retains a great amount of magic will not change that.

I don't know why this also makes a difference outside of humans, but I was really grateful to use it as a judgment material in these situations.

"Probably the dragon breed is handy. Perhaps we should assume that he came to this town as a result of fleeing something that hurt him rather than showing up in town to attack people"

"It's a good nuisance for residents"

"Must be. Find residents quickly."

Jumping over a large amount of blood, Jared and the others run.

Nature and feet get faster because they want to find and protect the residents a little faster.

The town was surrounded by woods, partly cutting open the woods and turning them into fields. The Duke of Alway territory has developed because of the streets connected to every town, but it still seems quite rural. For Jared, who lives in the Wang capital, all he feels is a wooded town.

As we traced the blood that the dragon species believed to have shed, we passed through the field.

"There he is!

At the end of the field, there was an open place that cut down the trees, I guess, that was being pioneered.

I found the inhabitants gathered there.

Breathe heavily of relief and approach the inhabitants. However,

"Stay away!

The first voice from the residents was - a voice of rejection.

Jared and Laurenz hurriedly stopped on their feet and raised their hands to let them know they were not hostile.

"Another adventurer! Do whatever you want, come on!

But instead of breaking the residents' guard, it's the end of being mistaken for an adventurer.

The youths put up their spears and pointed their cutting-edge at Jared's.

"We're not adventurers!

"I'm Jared Murphy. A sorcerer sent by the Sorcerer's Association. When I heard this town was attacked by dragon species, I just arrived. If there's an injured man, I'll make allowance!

"My name is Laurenz Herring. A companion."

"Can you believe it! Mages will be adventurers too! Even you guys don't know what to do!

How often do you think of adventurers, the colors of anger are darker from the youth. The inhabitants behind them also look at this one with frightened eyes.

"Don't be with savage adventurers! We're proud magicians!

"Then give me proof I can trust you!

I haven't received any documents or anything from the Sorcerer's Association, even though they say it's evidence. Normally, paperwork is prepared to obtain confirmation with the client, but this time the client remembers that he did not receive the paperwork because it was an urgent request from the Duke of Alway.

"You don't have anything to prove it?

"I'm sorry, but I don't have it. I don't know what to do...... how much I resent adventurers as well. If you do anything bad, it's a skewer."

"I'm sorry about that! There must be no such thing as being killed by a resident who should have come to help, not a dragon breed! - Yes, you can give me the student notebook."

"Student notebook?

"I'm sure our identities will be revealed! No fool forges student notebooks for Royal School, so you're sure! No way, you don't have it? Students will always be on school rules telling them to carry their student notebooks!

Only a few guys adhere to such school rules, I wanted to say, but Jared actually had one too.

When I take the student notebook from my nostalgia, I throw it all at the youth.

"- Whoa. What, a student notebook. Ha, are you students at Royal School...... oh!

"What's up!?

"These guys, no, no, these are the sons of Count Herring and Baron Dowm!

Seeing the reaction of the youths, I see, Jared figured out Laurenz's intention in suggesting that he show the student notebook.

It does specify his identity, but he thought he was just increasingly suspicious that a secondment from the self-proclaimed Sorcerer's Association would turn into a student. But the purpose of Laurenz was to reveal that he was a nobleman.

The Baron's house may not have worked as well, but the Count's name is huge. And as Laurenz read, it worked.

"Duh, what are we gonna do, we've got a spear on the nobles! I mean, I'm still pointing it at you!

"I don't know! Let go of the spear?

"You're already late! We're done..."

No, it worked too well.

The young men with spears wander so much that they feel sorry for this one, and even some of them are desperate when they realize they have tried to harm the nobility.

"As I said earlier, we're here to help. I won't punish you as much as they pointed a spear at you! Don't underestimate me!"

"I want to talk. In the meantime, I want you to understand that we're not enemies. And the person in charge - I want you to meet the mayor. I want to know what happened."

"... ok. I'll tell you all about the situation. But don't use magic here. Because women and children are scared."

"I promise."

"I swear I won't use it either."

When the youth were relieved of Jared's reply,

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

A roar like a ground was heard from behind the inhabitants.

"Hey, what's the roar now!

"Warcraft, no, it's not - no way!

Jared pushes the young men who try to stop him and moves on with the inhabitants apart.

"Come on, you're lying, right?

Behind the inhabitants was the figure of a dragon species lying in an open place and bleeding from his abdomen to his back.

Residents are holding back their wounds desperately trying to stop the blood with a towel.

"... were you protecting the dragon species?

Jared squeezed out his questionable words, stunned by an incredible sight.
