"I'm sorry for Jared. While I do say Drew Zimmel deserves it, I rely on Jared to try to help. But right now, Jared is the only one in this school who could possibly fight a guy who's going crazy because of drugs. Understand, Christa."

"I don't know! What do you have a teacher for? Isn't there a knighthood for a time like this? I'm not convinced Murphy has to go out of her way to get in danger!

"Thank you, Christa. But that's enough. Don't blame Laurenz and Lars."

"And."

Krista, who is not convinced and still absurds her voice.

It conveys that she is genuinely worried about me and makes me happy. But Jared can't abandon his friends for relying on him.

"I won't be impotent. I wouldn't do anything reckless to fight if I knew I was a winless opponent. It's okay, I promise."

When I spin the word to tell you, the excitement cools from Krista.

"I'm sorry. I said too much"

To Krista, who apologizes with an awkward glance, the Lars say they don't care.

"No, what Krista says is ultimate. There was not enough consideration for us. Embarrassed as a friend."

"Sorry, Oaken. I know exactly how you feel about Jared. [M] I won't make you do it, I promise."

"Yeah, if Murphy decides to fight to help that person, I'm not talking, am I? But you know what, Murphy? I'm worried. I'm sure Olivier would be anxious to find out that Murphy was doing something dangerous."

"Right. I'm sure you will. Thanks for your concern."

An angry face of my fiancée floats in my brain. I'm sure Krista's right, Olivier would be pissed off for not looking at the danger. But it's about worrying about yourself. Above all, she shouldn't abandon Drew.

Jared leaves the classroom to make sure Krista snorts when she regains her composure.

"Wait, I'm coming too!

"Hey, you're in danger."

"It's okay, 'cause I'm far away. I don't want to be worried about you here."

Lars spoke to Jared thinking about what to do.

"I'll be by your side. Just in case I don't wake you up, trust me."

"I'm sorry, but I left it to you. I asked you, Lars."

"Oh, I've been entrusted. Christa is also a dear friend of mine. Let me protect you even in this case."

Jared nodded to a friend who responded forcefully, heading to the training ground where Drew was.

Looks like the training ground is already paying for it. I am not alone in a training area that I am usually free to use because I am liberated.

"Master Laurenz!

A girl's voice calls Laurenz from the corner of the training ground.

When everyone turned their gaze, they found Berta Bartolam rushing over.

"Berta! How's Drew doing?

"Kurt is watching. But the situation isn't very good."

"What do you mean?

"If you look at it, you'll see, it just looks like you're sick to the spirit,"

Someone pounded my tongue.

Highly dependent and addictive magic amplifiers have strong side effects besides. The same goes for the outburst of magic, losing reason, but before that, it goes mental crazy.

It starts with hallucinations and hallucinations, and at the end of the day it becomes obsolete. But to get there, use a lot or take a lot of time.

At least not as mentally ill as I recently started.

Jared, who had a chance to relate to Drew the other day, at least didn't look like he was getting his hands on magic amplifiers.

Above all, I couldn't feel much magic. I've heard that using amplifiers can make a visible difference, so it's probably really been the last few days that I've gotten my hands on it. For example, the damage caused by the side effects is too quick and too great.

"This way."

"- This is..."

As Berta guided me through the place, I found Drew holding his knee as he shrunk his body to hide in a corner of the training ground.

Next to him Kurt Bartolam is speaking with his hands on his shoulders, but there is no way the fine dust will respond either.

Keeping his back on the wall, turning to the void and continuing to whine in a small voice is just an addict and too painful.

"Lady Laurenz, have you come?"

"Thanks for watching Kurt, Berta and Drew"

"No. Yeah, Murphy's here, too, thanks."

"Never mind, I'm not irrelevant."

Kurt notices this way and calls out.

"Dear Kurt, the student chairman that Dr. Santara just asked me to show up and pay for the training ground. It's a short time from today to tomorrow, but he said he's banned from entering and staying in the school. And then they say the Knights and the Sorcerer's Association are on their way for Drew's capture."

"Right. I hope nothing happens before then. But how did this happen?

Raulenz, who didn't even realize that the Jareds had come and just kept whining Drew in his eyes, pronounced his eyes down to regret it.

"I had a shallow relationship with my friend, but we were still together. As I was told, Drew may have used me, but he should have used me before he caught up to me."

Unlike the Jared's, Drew's painful appearance is hard to see for Laurenz, who hasn't spent much time with him even if he wasn't in a relationship he could call a friend.

Even if it wasn't me, Laurenz couldn't help but wonder if he could ask someone else for help.

"Laurenz, but this guy deserves it. I chose it myself, even though I had a choice not to touch magic amplifiers. You don't have to be sorry."

"But I knew Drew was jealous of people with a lot of magic, like me and Jared. I've tried to tell you that magic isn't everything, but what I'm saying doesn't change that I'm blessed with magic either. So I guess I didn't get the word."

"I don't know how Drew feels because I'm on the side of having one, too. Sometimes I do get jealous and envious, but still some people are successful as magicians even if they have less magic. There are never many magicians who put in an effort that we can't imagine. Bad Drew got his hands on a cheaply banned magic amplifier."

"I know! Still, I wanted to do something!

It's not like Jared doesn't know how Laurenz feels.

I clearly deserved it, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was anyone around to help me, as Laurenz put it. I knew Laurenz cared about Drew, but maybe if there was at least one other person, mistakes like this wouldn't have happened.

But that's just a hypothetical story.

Many magicians, like Drew, only have an average or lower amount of magic. Fewer magicians have magic powers well above average, like Jared and Laurenz.

Human beings without magic envy those with magic, just as magicians with little magic power envy the Jareds. Even Drew is a man of public view.

But many humans fail to realize that they are blessed. Therefore, like Drew, there are those who try to catch up with people who envy them even at the expense of something.

That's too tragic, Jared thinks.

I was wondering if I could do something about it. Still looking up at the void and thinking about Drew, who keeps whining,

"... Jared... Murphy...?

Gurin, and a vain eyeball moved, capturing Jared.

"Drew?"

The moment Laurenz spoke out in horror,

"Jarre, D, Ma, Phew, no, no, no, no!

With the scream, Drew's magic swelled up explosively.
