Olivier's breathing stops at Almeida's words.

I could somehow have expected her to say this.

From Almeida, who says she loves Jared as a disciple, because she knew as the same woman that she had more emotions than a mentorship.

It's unclear if her emotions are romantic feelings like hers, but they are definitely affections.

I can't even understand if it's love as a mentor or family love in a position of mother or sister, but I easily knew what Almeida wanted.

"Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I don't like you. As I said earlier, I like you, and I like you. If you're going to be Jared's daughter-in-law, well, I think you're a good match."

But, you know, Almeida clouded her expression.

"Jared is still in the process of developing as a magician and is going to grow a lot. I want to give that kid as cute as my brother a lot more possibilities. But I don't have too many choices for that kid right now. You know what I mean?

I didn't want to reply.

"Jared Murphy becomes a court magician after some track record as a candidate for court magician as he is. I assure you. Without a doubt, I can be as good as a court magician. If it's just strength."

"Just strength, you say?

"Until a little while ago, when it comes to court magicians, it's power. But now it will be a force of war and at the same time magicians involved in crappy factional strife among the nobles. How many people really serve the royal family?

The court magician is a direct member of the royal family. Only kings, or rightful royal men, can be ordained. If you ask, you can go through the sorcerers' association.

But there are some aristocrats in the present court magicians who support them.

Dennis from the Sorcerer's Association said the candidate for court magician had connections besides Jared the other day, but the same goes for court magicians.

Few have risen by sheer strength. In that sense, Jared's late mother, Liz Murphy, is a true powerful man who became a court magician with only a few strengths.

He is a court sorcerer serving the royal family, but will sometimes use magic for aristocrats who support themselves if necessary.

I don't mind if you defend your nobility as a people unconditionally. But if that is what the thoughts of the nobility are involved, it becomes yet another matter.

"Jared has no future but to be a court magician. But is that really true? Have you ever thought about it? More elsewhere, could there be anyone in need of Jared?

"It's..."

"When it comes to court magicians, it sure sounds good. But from what I can tell, I don't want you to be a magician just to fight, trapped in something like a court magician."

Olivier knew how Almeida felt.

Olivier herself had realized that it was none other than herself who was crushing Jared's potential.

The position of the Duke's eldest daughter, his brother Konrat, the fact that my father likes it, everything keeps Jared off the road other than the court magician.

Sometimes I wonder if he really would, even though he doesn't seem to think of any other options because he himself is trying to be a court magician like his late mother.

By analogy, even if he can't be a court magician, the Duke of Alway won't let go of Jared. No, you don't have to let go. If I marry Olivier, I will be a relative, and I promise to teach witchcraft, even though Konrat has no mentorship.

From the surroundings, Jared already belongs to the Duke of Alway.

It was a great possibility to become a minister to the Duke of Alway family at a time when he was the grandson of Loyal Baron Daum, but Jared himself was trying to live freely. I do not know, by analogy, whether I undertook a medical examination of court magicians from the Society of Mages, even if my grandfather, Baron Daum, was contemplating ceding the title.

But Jared chose to go for court magician.

And at one end of it there was a reason: Olivier Alway.

Maybe I couldn't say no in a position at first. But Jared has learned the circumstances Olivier has. He couldn't have left Olivier alone, gentle and friendly, and went deeper and deeper.

The more I realize, the more muddy the majority of my body is.

Many times I wondered if it was okay to stay like this. Every night, I thanked Jared, anxious to see if I could really be happy this way when I closed my eyes. At the same time, I could understand that there was happiness now because of Jared.

Without that Jared - this happiness will be over.

There may be pfiles unchanged. Even Yennie and I will change our relationship, but we should be able to stay close in the future. But without Jared there, Olivier would not be happy.

"Don't look so crying"

He was Olivier, who was drowning in thought, but he can be pulled up in Almeida's words.

Touch your own face wondering what the hell you looked like, but I don't know.

Olivier takes a big, deep breath. Head to Almeida, who is smiling bitterly but looking at this one with deep eyes, and stares back with a strong will.

"I do admit that Jared's potential is crushed because of me. I also understand that Master Almeida heartily mentions Jared. But I love Jared. If it's not him, you can't. I've always wanted to be there, and I've finally met someone who seems to be - and I don't want to leave."

I know you're saying terrible selfishness.

No doubt Almeida would have been stunned.

Olivier herself, I wasn't aware that this depended on Jared, but I really can't if it wasn't him.

"Yes Pass"

"Huh?"

Suddenly, Almeida smiles differently and gently at Olivier, who doesn't understand what she's been told and gives a dumb voice.

"I'm sorry I said something tough. But I wanted to try how serious you are to be the daughter-in-law of a cute apprentice. I had to ask because I was the one who could say what I wanted without worrying about the title. Even if you hate me, well, I don't like it, but I can put up with it."

"Well, I don't hate Almeida."

"Oh, I'm glad. Then let's get along."

"Of course it is. But, you know, passing means…"

Almeida nods at Olivier, who asks terribly.

"I'm not taking Jared away from you."

"Thank you"

It was Olivier exhaling relief,

"But..."

Words went on like Almeida stabbed a nail.

"It's true that you're not all but crushing Jared's possibilities. I think Jared is crushing your possibilities as well, but that's what marriage is all about. If I were alone, I wouldn't be able to do it if I were you two. But there's a lot I can't do without you two."

"I understand"

"That's fine. All I'm asking you to do is properly understand that marrying you reduces the likelihood, and then love that girl properly. And I want you to give me new possibilities. Jared Murphy's late mother, please."

"I promise."

Olivier nods with determination to Almeida, who guides Jared's future not as a master, but as a mother, wishing him happiness.

I want to return it with affection to Jared, who has been more thankful and happy than I can count anymore.

"And I'm fine with the mistress frame, so thank you."

"Yes - and yes, yes, eh!?

Olivier screamed at Almeida, who had a prankster grin who didn't know if he was making fun of him or not, just saying where the serious story had gone so far.

"Keep it up, pretty Olivier"
