Like the seniors said, going upstairs up the stairs made it air like a company everywhere along the way. The rough atmosphere is nowhere. Rather, there is stiff air.

I don't think there's a lot of difference between the building and the ground floor so far.

"The point of contact is noisy. I'm upstairs processing data and dealing with people who come to the Adventurers Guild for work. It's not run by the state, but you can call it a quasi-public sector."

"I've never been in before, but I'm going to learn"

I agree with Celia.

We walked into the conference room.

Sit in the chair where Senior Enterya puts it. Because I'm not an interviewer, and I don't have a desk. It's just that the two chairs are facing each other at that distance there.

There's a big partition behind it. We hide behind the partition to see the seniors talk.

"If I were frightened, I'd notice signs of people like this right away. I wonder if a human adventurer would know."

"Because surely Mary's standards are broken...... Experimental benches are jobs, and maybe the adventurer applied for a request because he knew someone would ask him."

Eventually, a man named Adventurer walked into the room. How old are you? My arms are so fat and hairy. So much so that I wonder what would make me such an arm.

The adventurer sits in a chair across from Senior Enterya.

"Yes, sir. Now, sit back in that chair there, will you? Relax ~"

Senior Enterya has a soft waist after all. Something resembles the president.

"It's a warrior buftas. Greetings."

I don't know if the name is what I imagined it to be again...

"Now, Mr. Buftas means you have a desire to marry, is there any reason?

"When I was younger, I thought I should work hard as an adventurer, and that was fun. I was not particularly anxious about the future. But after thirty years, my life suddenly became restless..."

Mr. Buftus, my face is scary, but I could feel something sad coming out of those eyes.

"Is there a trigger? Or has anxiety come at some point?

"Once upon a time, a well-groomed colleague got married. So, he had a baby. If I was looking at that kid... I don't know what that means, I don't want a kid because he's cute..."

Yeah, yeah. Senior Enterya nods, waiting for Mr. Buftas to talk.

I'm a good listener around here, too. I have only a long sales position.

"So I figured it out. I felt so scared that I was dead and there was nothing left. No children, no daughter-in-law. When a single adventurer dies, that's it."

I live with Celia and Mary. I may not even have the right to pity, but what I'm hearing is getting hard on me, too.

The world of adventurers is harsher than you can imagine......

When you get older, some people say you get scared of loneliness.

But I'm already getting older, so even looking to meet from there, it's hard.

Senior Enterya barely speaks anything from herself.

It sounds like a lie when you were presenting it to us earlier.

Anyway, I'm smiling and waiting slowly to bring out Mr. Buftas' words.

"But I don't have an atmosphere where adventurers can say that to each other. Even the rare ones laugh. Besides, I've lived without any glitch about the marriage before... So it's weird to talk about troubles..."

I see. Talking about the future is a kind of taboo for adventurers.

"Besides, my peers are more or less men, and even if there are occasional female adventurers, that sort of thing gets taken by cool male adventurers... A man is a face after all..."

So I put my face closer because Mary talked to me absurdly.

"You might deserve it, but this guy seems like he's got no hitter either, so it's tough."

"Right. It's beyond my ability to salvage it."

In the number of adventurers who want to marry and those who want to marry adventurers, I guess the former is more.

If that's the case, I think some of the adventurers will get married first, with good faces and young ones.

"Yeah, I know what's going on"

Senior Enterya nodded deeply and slowly.

"From here on in, let me tell you something you've poked in more than ever before. If you don't want to tell me, you can shut up."

"Whatever you say, don't worry about it. I'm here because I'm not ashamed or shitty."

Is Mr. Buftas totally trusting Senior Enterya, too, or is he simply happy to talk to a (looking) young, beautiful woman, enough to have a grin on his face?

"First, have you ever been with a woman?

"If that means she has some experience in her twenties. But we're all liquor store women, and it was quick to break up."

This is all my father would be flattered to hear...

"Hmm. Thank you so much for your valuable information. It turns out that Mr. Buftas is not shy."

Senior Enterya responding to the sneer. Seniors have looked like full-time counselors. Is this the strength of someone with a long sales career?

"Well, then, Mr Buftas, my next question. What kind of woman does Mr. Buftas prefer? I would also appreciate it if you could be as specific as possible in this. We're wasting each other's time introducing mismatched people."

"You can marry any woman you want. Now, there's no hope. I'm a bear, too."

Well, that's how you'd feel.

I guess that means I don't have room for what I'm choosing.

But something unexpected happened here.

Senior Enterya shook his head to the side. The grin is also disappearing from my face.

And I said this clearly.

"Mr. Buftas, you can't do that."
