Three Divine Wishes: Yes, I'm OP!

Chapter 196: The Akashic Records? (2) - The Pantheon Of....

As the thought formed in Akasha’s mind, he couldn’t help but think of a single person.

His mother... and the reason was neither random nor far-fetched at all.

In the usual sense spoken of across countless fantasies, the Akashic Records were said to be the complete record of all that had ever happened, all that was happening, and all that could happen.

An apparently endless library written into the fabric of existence itself, accessible only to those who had the right to look.

Overflowing with boundless knowledge, seeing everything without hindrance, and wielding the power to grant or withhold on a whim.

And whether he wanted to admit to it or not... His mother embodied far too many of those qualities for his comfort.

’My Gacha... hell, my three wishes themselves... and honestly, my entire life up to now are perfect proof of her powers,’ he thought to himself.

From what he had already gathered, she could grant gifts at will, shaping advantages and tools as effortlessly as breathing.

She seemed able to look upon him at any moment, across any distance, as if no wall or world could truly hide him from her gaze.

And then there was the largest piece of all: his name. Akasha.

’Akasha... and Akashic, that shit is definitely not a coincidence,’ he mused.

It was the same name that had clung to him through the illusion and, of course, from the moment he was actually born—both things orchestrated by his dear mother.

Now, hearing that something called the Akashic Records existed here, he would’ve been a fool not to entertain at least the idea of a link between her and that vast, mysterious record.

The notion lingered briefly, settling over him like a shadow. Then, with deliberate effort, he shoved it to the farthest corner of his mind and refused to let it take root.

In that moment, he had more pressing matters to focus on... things he both needed and wanted to accomplish. The first was to finalize the layout of the soon-to-be Orin Star System.

Turning his attention back to the projection, his hands moved with purpose.

The six worlds drifted slowly through the air beneath his fingertips, shifting into position until they formed a broad, perfect ring.

At the very heart of it all, a single mountain began to emerge—immense beyond comprehension, dwarfing even the worlds themselves—its towering peak vanishing into a haze of soft, purple mist.

From each of the six worlds, a thin, glowing thread of pure dream energy extended inward, connecting them to the central mountain like spokes of a wheel.

As Akasha returned to his work, Kalpa went on with its explanation.

"Once the bond with the Akashic Records is secured, a Pantheon becomes everlasting unless it is utterly annihilated.

From that point forward, its members gain Supreme Divinity by living in harmony with the Pantheon’s philosophy and extending its reach and influence."

Calista sat a little straighter on the opposite couch.

The tension that had once kept her quiet melted away the instant she was accepted as a formal disciple.

The rush of divine energy, paired with the calm, steady weight of the domain’s acknowledgment, seemed to anchor her in a way she hadn’t expected.

Something deep within her felt settled, and for the first time in a long while, she felt at ease enough to let her voice be heard.

She looked between Luna and Yume, addressing them with careful respect.

"Mistresses... if we already have a pantheon, why is any of this still relevant?"

The two women exchanged a knowing glance before breaking into laughter—Luna’s light and radiant, Yume’s soft and subdued, yet both carrying the same thread of amusement.

"Well.... We don’t have one just yet," Luna remarked, her heart-shaped eyes glinting with playful mischief.

"But give it a few hours, and we will."

Yume gave a small nod, blue-streaked hair drifting as she added, "Right... Child, patience is key."

Calista’s expression went blank for a moment, her thoughts stumbling over themselves.

’Didn’t Lord Dream say they were from a Pantheon?’ she wondered, remembering that it was part of why she’d taken so long to decide.

She wasn’t fond of how most Pantheon leaders behaved, at least from what she knew.

The contradiction weighed on her tongue, but before she could speak, Akasha finished his final adjustments.

One by one, the names above the worlds transformed under his hands.

Kalpa turned into the World of Potential, Noxara became the Hub of Knowledge, and Vexon was renamed the World of Training.

Oryssal became the World of Beasts, Cylas the Resource World, and Loreua the World of Recovery and Ascension.

Luna and Yume both rose from the couch.

They walked over to the edge of the projection, standing close enough that the soft purple light of the dream threads washed across their faces.

Luna tilted her head, studying the ring of worlds and the vast mountain at the center.

"I must say... it looks neat like this. However, we will probably need to add in some requirements later on."

Yume’s gaze moved slowly across the six renamed worlds before settling on the pure white silhouette still floating nearby.

"Kalpa," she said, voice calm, "are you ready to become more?"

The smooth, featureless head of the world’s consciousness tilted ever so slightly, a subtle ripple shivering through its form.

"More?" Kalpa asked, his tone curious. "What exactly do you mean by that?"

As their conversation continued, a gentle chime resonated in Akasha’s awareness, and a crisp notification unfurled across his vision.

----

[You have created a new artifact.]

[Devouring World Core — An artifact that allows a world’s consciousness to completely consume and overwrite the consciousness of an entire Star System.

The process leaves no residual conflict, no remnants, and no possibility of the original system consciousness reasserting itself.

The world that uses it becomes the new, absolute consciousness.]

----

From the description of the items, Akasha’s plan for Kalpa was already obvious—he intended to make Kalpa the consciousness of the entire Star System.

Since they were already connected, it meant he could leap from being a Pantheon ruling a single world to one presiding over the entire Star System in a single step.

On top of that, with the original consciousness lying dormant—and Kalpa’s entire uniqueness stemming from its link to that very consciousness—it was an easy decision.

In his open hand, an artifact materialized: a small, dense sphere of layered purple and black light, pulsing once against his palm like the beat of a living heart.

He closed his eyes for a moment, nine swirling stars concealed behind his lids, and spoke to someone he knew was both listening and watching.

’So... are you the one I must seek to help me establish my Pantheon?’
