Chapter 200: The Pantheon of Infinite Dreams (4)
"So, I’m guessing you can literally ask for anything?"
Akasha muttered the words under his breath, nine swirling purple stars narrowing slightly as he studied the single glowing prompt that hung in the air before him.
From every earlier mention of Supreme Divinity, he had expected a fixed list of options, a curated selection of tools and privileges available only to the rulers of Pantheons.
The open-ended nature of the question was not something he had prepared for, and the quiet realization settled over him with mild surprise.
Yume shifted on the couch beside him, blue-streaked hair drifting across her shoulder as she leaned a little closer to the status window.
"Master... You should try asking for a few things," she suggested, voice calm yet clearly curious. "At least then you’ll know how much everything actually costs."
Akasha gave a small nod of agreement. Without speaking aloud, he formed his first request in his mind, testing how the system would respond.
’I want an extra life for every member of the Pantheon.’
The reply appeared immediately.
[200,000 Supreme Divinity]
Akasha raised a brow at the surprisingly low figure.
While 200,000 wasn’t exactly small, it felt almost trivial considering he’d gained one hundred thousand Supreme Divinity simply by becoming ruler of the stage two Pantheon.
’Still, I’m guessing the amount changes based on the number of members I have,’ he thought, moving on to his next, broader request.
’What about... permanent world barriers around every world under my control?’
[150,000 Supreme Divinity]
’Well, that’s not bad at all...’
A faint, thoughtful hum escaped him.
Then, almost on impulse, he shaped one final question—one tinged with sharp curiosity.
’How much for an instant kill... on Loki Laufey?’
The number that appeared was so massive it nearly filled the entire panel.
[10,000,000,000 Supreme Divinity]
A low chuckle slipped from his lips.
"Well, that figures..." he muttered, noting that the price for instantly killing Loki was enough to make any ordinary being abandon the thought entirely.
Still, the numbers—or the use of Supreme Divinity in general—didn’t strike him as anything that could truly trouble him.
Much like regular Divinity, Supreme Divinity was simply another resource, one he intended to reserve solely for his members and disciples.
After all, with his power over dreams, he was certain there would always be other paths, other methods, other ways to get what he wanted without ever having to rely on Supreme Divinity.
The smile that curved his lips was slow and unhurried.
He turned his head toward Kalpa, who still stood a short distance away in her new petite form, seven-colored hair shifting gently in the high wind that brushed the edge of the void.
"It’s time," he said, voice carrying the easy confidence that belonged to him when caution and battle were far from his mind, "for some real changes to happen around the Orin Star System."
Kalpa’s pure white eyes narrowed slightly.
"Son of the Stars..." she said, a faint wariness lacing her voice. "Are you perhaps... not concerned about the events currently unfolding across the Star System?"
Akasha merely shrugged, the motion slow and unconcerned.
"Not at all," he said, for ever since forming a connection with Kalpa, he had known that two worlds in this star system were teetering on the brink of death.
More than that, he understood that everything he did served the advancement of his grand plan, which was now edging toward the completion of Phase Three.
"My focus is on the Pantheon right now; everything else will fall into place. By the end of the day, it will all be arranged exactly as it should be."
He glanced back at Luna and Yume, still seated on either side of him, and continued speaking in that same easy, untroubled tone.
"Do me a favor and take Calista below. Elevate her bloodline... and Yume, while you’re at it, gift her a new star."
Calista, who had stayed quiet until now, couldn’t hold back her curiosity any longer. The question slipped out before she could stop herself.
"Lord Dream... how can any of this be possible?" she asked, eyes wide with wonder. "I don’t mean to doubt you, but even with everything I once learned from forbidden texts, I never imagined such things could be done so easily."
Hearing her... instead of trying to explain, Luna and Yume chuckled.
Both women leaned in at the same time, pressing soft kisses to Akasha’s cheeks—Luna’s warmer and lingering a fraction longer, Yume’s cooler yet no less affectionate.
Then they vanished from the couch and reappeared beside Calista. A breath later, the three of them were gone, descending toward the lower reaches of the mountain’s peak.
Only Akasha and Kalpa remained on the high balcony.
"Well, let’s bring a dream into the waking world," he thought, knowing the Dream would be his.
However, since he couldn’t directly turn his own dreams into reality like he could for others, he’d find a workaround.
In that moment, he rose from the couch with unhurried grace and allowed the full weight of his imperfect beauty to settle into the open air.
The long cascade of purple and snow-white hair shifted across his shoulders; the nine swirling stars in his eyes caught the dim light of the nearby void.
The faint shimmer beneath his luminous brown skin seemed to deepen as he regarded the petite consciousness standing before him.
"Tell me, Kalpa... what is your deepest dream?" he asked, his voice carrying a light, almost casual tone, as if they were merely chatting about the weather.
The unexpected question slipped into the moment so effortlessly that it took her a second to process, leaving her completely caught off guard.
She opened her mouth, closed it again, and for a long moment stood there, seven-colored hair drifting in the wind.
"That’s... that’s not something I’ve ever thought about," she muttered, realizing that for as long as she could remember, she had been focused on protecting herself from collapse.
The idea of dreaming felt strange, almost alien to her.
Akasha, of course, knew this all too well and was quietly counting on it.
His smile grew at her admission, and he offered a lighthearted suggestion.
"Well, now that you no longer have to worry about your life," he said, "don’t you think it’s okay to start thinking about it?"
With those words, she paused for a moment before giving a nod.
As the thought slowly took shape in her mind, Akasha activated one of his innate powers.
[Dream Truth Vision (Monarch)]
In an instant, her mind unfolded before him like a blank canvas ready for color.
With calm, deliberate precision, he began to shape it.
’Alright... I won’t be greedy and completely claim your dream as my own,’ he thought, knowing that while he was doing this for himself, it wouldn’t hurt to help her too.
With Kalpa connected to him, lending her a hand seemed only natural.
With that thought, he first rewrote the core of her ultimate potential, painting her dream into something far greater than the consciousness of a single Star System.
She would become the most magnificent consciousness ever to exist, boundless and unmatched.
Then, inside that same dream, he reconstructed the entire Orin Star System according to his will.
Each of the six worlds received the name he previously set on his projections.
Their individual consciousnesses folded inward and fused perfectly into Kalpa, leaving her as the Star System’s sole, absolute mind.
Next came the structural layout itself, which would shift the moment the dream was realized.
The six worlds and their suns began to orbit a single central point: Dreamer’s Peak.
The mountain was gently displaced from the surface of Kalpa and set into the void as a vast landmass larger than most of the worlds themselves, its world-sized barrier already shimmering into place around it.
On every world, the ancient boundary between Topside and Underside dissolved completely; each world expanded into one continuous supercontinent.
Upon the surface of Kalpa, where Dreamer’s Peak had once stood, the Lucid Winter’s Peak rose in its place.
Noxara finished its transformation into a complete ocean world, a vast expanse of water broken only by scattered mini-islands surrounding one larger central island.
The remaining worlds retained their essential natures aside from the merger of their two sides.
When the dream was complete, Kalpa’s pure white eyes flared with sudden, brilliant light. The words left her without hesitation, shaped by the vision he had placed within her.
"Son of the Stars... I suppose my dream is to become the most magnificent consciousness that has ever existed."
At this, Akasha let out a laugh—soft, sincere, and tinged with a hint of self-assurance.
"I have to say... that’s quite the ambition."
And then, without a moment’s hesitation, he blinked once.
HUMMMMMM!!!!!!
In that single, fluid instant, the entire star system shifted.
The treehouse, the Golden Apple Tree, and the entire mountain of Dreamer’s Peak vanished from Kalpa’s surface and reappeared in the cold void, the vast world-sized barrier already locked around it like a second sky.
On the world of Kalpa, the Lucid Winter’s Peak stood in the place the mountain had left behind, its frozen slopes gleaming under the newly ordered skies.
Everything else he had woven into Kalapa’s dream had come to pass—everything except the full awakening of her ultimate potential.
Although Akasha could influence potential and bring dreams into reality, he was still far from truly mastering the art of controlling it entirely.
Even after obtaining his Star of Lucid Winters, he had yet to reach the point where he could fully unseal the frozen potential he had embedded within others.
Still, much like with Melvin—when he gifted him the dream of becoming the supreme swordsman—the outcome was far from meaningless.
Kalpa could only gaze around in stunned amazement, sensing the sudden expansion of her very being.
The vastness, the depth, and a quiet, growing certainty that her dream, though not yet complete, had transformed into something tangible and within reach.
