Chapter 1394 - 445: The Unseen

For Sagittarius, the Chaos Domain was his safest zone; here, none of his brothers or sisters could find him.

And from here he could spy on many places, and for those who crossed the line, he would kill them with a single arrow.

This was the first time in his life that Sagittarius had encountered someone breaking into this domain.

This person was shrouded in a mysterious black mist, but that mist was not from the "Black House"; let alone the Black House, even the Red House would flee at the sight of him.

Without the slightest hesitation, Sagittarius said:

"Let’s hope you won’t die from just one arrow."

Sagittarius bent his bow and nocked an arrow.

An arrow enlightened by countless powers, even incorporating the forces of other constellations and parts of the Outer Domain—though it had not yet been charged to the limit—was enough to make one feel the destruction contained within.

The Shadow laughed and said:

"I hadn’t wanted to face you either; after all, you people never even noticed my existence. This world was supposed to keep on changing like this. Right, Archer?"

"I thought the first one to find me would be Gott. Tsk tsk, who’d have thought we’d meet ahead of schedule."

Sagittarius’s pupils trembled.

Most of the time, the constellations didn’t address each other by their names.

For example, he preferred to call Scorpio "Scorpio" rather than Xuan Yi; it was the same with Capricorn—he rarely called Capricorn "Gott."

Only Leon, because Leon was the Conqueror and left his name everywhere.

Above all, they weren’t familiar with one another.

Even if these names were known, they were only known within the constellations themselves.

Sagittarius said in shock:

"Who the hell are you?"

As his words fell, he loosed an arrow.

If the other party could take one of his arrows and not die, then it would be enough to confirm they were a big shot; otherwise, even if they knew some secrets, they were just small fry he could kill at any time, not worth caring about.

This arrow contained a multitude of powers.

But in the Chaos Domain, after tracing a trajectory, this arrow passed through the Shadow and ultimately vanished into the distance.

The Shadow laughed and said:

"Your growth is truly astounding. You’ve already comprehended so many powers, tsk tsk. In the future, you just might shock even Leon—if you still have a future, that is."

"You know, when your fate’s dominant body falls into a mortal crisis, at that moment, fate will no longer pity you."

"Because of a certain person, you seem to have grasped power that doesn’t belong to you; but also because of that person, you’re going to die now."

There was no effect at all.

An arrow capable of twisting space actually failed to inflict any damage on the Shadow.

At the same time, Sagittarius discovered that a massive Array had appeared around him.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand and shot an arrow at those Arrays.

But bizarrely, those Arrays were just like the Shadow, impossible to attack.

"You’ve actually broken through my first layer of defense, but that’s all." The Shadow was still mocking him.

Sagittarius fired several arrows in succession, each one stronger than the last.

His growth truly was astonishing; the benefits of having his fate bound to Wen Xishu were evident. Even if you hid in a different dimension, by rights you would still be struck by this arrow.

Yet for some reason, nothing the Shadow manifested could be attacked.

As if it didn’t exist at all.

Sagittarius stopped shooting; the enormous Array began slowly taking shape, with ghostly green light continuously spreading out, forming an extremely complex pattern.

The Array itself seemed like a maze; on the outer edge were countless veiled eyes, while at the center of the Array were innumerable chaotic footprints and whirlpools.

At the moment the Array was only one-sixth complete; its construction process was extremely slow. Sagittarius could only see portions of the patterns on the outer ring and in the center.

But Sagittarius could feel that if this Array were allowed to fully form—

Something terrifying would happen, perhaps something more dreadful than Albert’s fists or Leon’s rage.

His sense for danger was never wrong.

Though he was loath to admit it, the current situation was extremely dangerous.

This was a being whose defense was invincible, an existence that could not be attacked.

And though this existence’s means of attack were slow to construct, once complete, they were capable of slaying a God!

There actually was such a creature in this world, yet he had been completely unaware of it.

The black mist also mocked him:

"You cannot harm me; that is my authority. But you will never figure out how you’re supposed to hurt me. Archer, you are an observer, yet you’ve never observed me."

Suddenly, seizing the gap while the other was speaking, Sagittarius shot an arrow.

This arrow was no weaker than the final one he’d traded with Albert, but even this arrow still could not touch the Shadow.

The Array continued to unfold.

Sagittarius said:

"Your Array is slow. I can’t kill you, but I can at least escape."

Within the Chaos Domain, a rift suddenly appeared.

The Shadow laughed and said:

"How could I possibly let you run? I told you, once you see me, you don’t get to live."

The boundless chaos instantly covered up the gap Sagittarius had opened.

Arrow after arrow flew from Sagittarius’s bow; those terrifying arrows could slay gods, yet they could not inflict any damage on the energy released by the Shadow.

"Or are you planning to try crossing this chaos?"

The Shadow had guessed Sagittarius’s intent; the rift in the Chaos Domain was patched over by a strange black energy.

He couldn’t shoot through the black energy, but perhaps he could force his way through with his flesh, tear through the black energy, and escape by brute force.

"I advise you not to do that. You’ll be thoroughly corrupted, Archer. Death either way—at least this Array will let you die a little less... miserable."
