Tilea’s Worries

Lesson 52: Jessica and the Tea Party

Jessica walks down Middle Street with Stasta.

Tea at the mall with Edim and Lind today. I promised Edim before when I was crusading evil spirits. However, that footprint is a little heavy. Because there has been a recent incident of vampire teasing.

Maybe Edim... Yeah, that's not true!

I've had anxious feelings about Edim before, but I'm fine. Edim remains the same. He's my best friend. He kept his promise to make tea even today. I force myself to swallow the suspicion of dullness in my chest.

When you enter the coffee shop and head to the meeting seat,

"Edim!?"

Edim slams his face against the table and is somewhat depressed. That's not the same depressing way. It is as if he were beaten to hell, a wretched man struck by despair.

"E, Edim, and you're dead..."

My soul is falling out. It is a momentum that is likely to rise again.

"Hey, Edim?

"I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail, I fail Stupid, stupid, what is the Dark Emperor? The fool wasn't executed that day he thought the stupid dark emperor would be executed. I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, what caused it? A rogue crusade? Stupid Tischio's? Or because you didn't understand what Lady Tyrea said or did? But Master Tyrea isn't bad. I'm sorry."

Edim states bumps and curses with his face stuck to the table.

Oh, hey, Edim, I'm so sick that it's not normal.

"E, Edim, and hold on!

Unexpectedly buckles Edim's shoulder. Edim's vain eyes finally recognize me for making me cramp my shoulders.

"Huh, Dj, Jessica?

"Yes, it's Jessica. Edim, what's going on? Even when I speak, it's the sky, and you still look like you're dying."

"Ha. Jessica, I was just having a little taste of life's inertia."

Hey, what? What? The anomaly of life...

I was exhausted when we fought together in a ghost crusade, but I think the spirit was normal.

What has happened to Edim since then?

"Edim, if you have a problem, let me know? Because it helps."

……

Edim doesn't talk about anything with a sigh. It's like talking to me is just a futile expression. Sure, Edim may be becoming a vampire and facing a problem I can't imagine. I guess I'm not at a level where I can solve things with my mouth. But that's why I can't possibly do anything about the crisis of my best friend, Edim.

"Edim, I can't count on you. It can make your mind easier just to talk about your worries. So..."

"Jessica, you're the same good girl"

"Stop being such a sarcasm! I'm really worried about you."

"Phew, I'm so proud you don't have a problem."

"Become!? I have one or two problems too!

Climb out and claim.

Even today, I've been worried about you, Edim, until I came to this store...

Edim, I feel like I've had a tough time saying it since I became some kind of vampire.

"Well, even if I've always had troubles, how light or light your troubles are. It's about the size of the chest you're wearing. My troubles, no, I can't describe them in light terms. I wonder if there's a word to describe this dark heart."

Um, I'm upset that there's so much in the way you say it, but if your best friend is bothering you, I want to help you.

"Edim, what's the cause of your worries? I knew you'd become a vampire?

"Jessica, enough about that. My troubles are not such trivial dimensions."

He said it was trivial to be a vampire...

Realize the depth of Edim's troubles.

"So you think the royal family found out who you are? Are they after your life?

"No. Don't worry about the neighborhood."

Edim waves and denies it outright.

I'm not worried about you.

Well, about the demon tribe that Edim admired...

"Could it be that you killed A, Arquene, or something?

It's one of the reasons Edim attacked me last year. He said he was the Lord of Edim, and I'm sad if the obsession was still there.

"Arcune? Ha, Jessica, I forgot about him like that until you told me. Not if I'm such a dickhead. It's an emergency right now."

Chinking the former Lord...

Even though it's Edim who's been after "Enemy of Arquene!"

But Mr. Tyrea is right, Edim seems to have been completely freed from the demonic curse.

"So what are you worried about? What if I could think of something else, like the dissatisfaction with my life right now?

"Ugh!?"

"Yes, you're dissatisfied. Life is not a matter of food and clothing. Edim is a vampire, and there are school dorms, so he has enough clothing and shelter. Um, relationships or something?

"Ugh!?"

Is it a relationship......

Who are you talking about?

As much as I said earlier, Edim was not even dusty about his life. Normally, if you're a vampire, it's not strange that you're being targeted by the government at four or six. However, Edim took the attitude that life could not be targeted by the royal family.

Isn't this because you were taken in by the back agency on the royal side? Edim's power is enormous, and it's no wonder he got his eyes on that kind of organization.

As Lilith once did, Edim may be in charge of the task of defeating the Demon Nation uninhabited.

"Edim, maybe you belong to an organization like the Exorcism Pentagram."

"What?"

"Edim, I don't ask what the organization you're in is doing in what place. I'm sure it's a secret in the code of the organization."

"As, well."

"But let me just ask you one thing. I can't believe you're so bothered... aren't you being badly seen by that organization? If that's the case, I can't forgive you! Master Remilia, if that's what you want, ask Mr. Tyrea..."

"Jessica! I told you before. Tyrea... I can't get involved. Tilea... is my great benefactor."

Edim comes to a stop with an amazing sword screen. I do not want to involve Mr Tirrea. I think so, too. But I feel like the way Edim said it is too much. He's the one with all that strength. If you're a regular Edim, you'll be counting on it. Something Edim, I feel very reluctant about Mr. Tyrea.

It's like Mr. Tyrea is the Lord of Edim......

Oh, well!

"Edim, just tell me what I can answer"

"What?"

"Isn't Mr. Tyrea from an organization where Edim is?

"Well, that's... duh, no..."

"Yes, I knew it"

"So no!

"You don't have to hide it. I figured it out when I didn't answer instantly."

Looks like we hit a prediction.

Mr. Tyrea's strength is unusual. Mr Tyrea said himself like an ordinary person, but he can't. I can't explain it unless you're from a special institution like the Devil's Destruction Pentagram (Degarabia) to which Lilith belonged. The power to hunt that demon is not Dada or insanity.

But then Mr. Tyrea was lying? He said he was just a cook or something, but he pretended to be an ordinary person to keep the secrets of the organization?

No, Mr. Tyrea is not the kind of person who can do such a ventriloquist. It's not good for the head to be inversely proportional to strength.

I wonder what this means?

I twist my head.

... right. Mr. Tyrea, maybe he's usually brainwashed magic by the head of the tissue. Tilea with enormous power, but her head is a bit......

Even if Mr. Tilea tries to keep the information secret, he's definitely decided to have a rundown somewhere. Yes, I think it's much easier to keep yourself as an ordinary person with brainwashing magic than to make Mr. Tyrea remember that kind of abdominal arts. So, usually, Mr. Tyrea thinks he's just a cook in the organization.

And when things happen, all you have to do is solve the brainwashing magic or let Mr. Tyrea direct his thoughts and defeat his enemies, as I did.

"Jessica, I don't know what you think, but Tilea... it doesn't matter"

"Edim, don't push it. Mr. Tyrea is someone on the organization, isn't she?

"Oh, that's..."

"It's understandable what Edim would say. Tilea's treatment is top secret in the organization."

Tilea is one of the top fighters in the organization, but sadly the head of the organization makes me think he's just a cook with brainwashing magic. Is power usually restricted, too?

"Jessica, how far do you know? No way, Tyrea... did you hear anything?

"Yeah, it's just a guess"

"Shh, guess what - I know too much, no, Jessica belongs to... and I wonder if it's okay"

"Hmm!? Edim, did you say something?

"No, it's nothing"

"But, Edim, I'm not going to tell anyone about this. So don't make it sound impossible."

"Oh, yeah, that helps. Because there was resistance in making Master Tyrea. But I can't say any more."

"Yeah, I won't ask. It's like the demonic extermination agency Lilith belonged to, isn't it? I know I can't listen lightly to the country's secret services."

"... please"

"Yeah, so, from Edim's story, there's someone in that organization who harasses you? Maybe discriminate because you're a vampire..."

"Huh, Jessica doesn't have enemies, you're right. I have a really bad boss. You idiot! You're so stupid! You call me a half demon."

Semi-demons are terrible! I can't believe they called me the Demon Clan!

Even though Edim has regained his human heart, his body is a vampire. I guess that's why they call me a half demon. It is painfully decided to suffer such unfair discrimination in the Demonic Eradication Agency.

"Edim, can't you get out of that organization? It looks so spicy."

"Jessica, skip the details, but make the point. That's my only place over there. I can't think of living anywhere but there. So it's no joke they kick you out because of your idiot!

Right, right? Edim, a vampire, can live because he is controlled by the state. I guess if you let the world go, you'll be convicted in the name of justice.

"Sorry, I was shallow. Uh-huh, why don't you talk to Mr. Tilea? You're better than that loathsome boss."

Mr. Tyrea, who is brainwashed magic and thinks he's just a cook, but that fighting power. I'm sure he's pretty much in the upper position.

"Sure, but Master Tyrea is the one who pushed through that right. I know you can talk to me, but I'm worried about how it'll come back."

"Wow, I think I know"

I talked to Mr. Tyrea, and it would be nice if he answered unevenly, but instead, things could get complicated and suspicious.

"Well, why don't you talk to someone higher than Mr. Tyrea? I'm sure someone will understand Edim's current situation."

"... Phew, yeah - I wonder if that's the kind of person - haha"

Edim's dry voice echoes in the room......

Oh, this reaction,

You're not the same type as Mr. Tyrea, but you only have a boss with a crush. Maybe there aren't many common sense people in a back organization like the Demonic Eradication Agency.

"You're not supposed to talk to Master Remilia of the security forces, are you?

"Absolutely. Jessica, I won't forgive you if you imitate me like that."

Alec and Remilia of the Five Magnificent Stars (Degarabia) were also unfamiliar. I'm sure it's also a territorial feud between organizations. Because I can't talk to you about it.

"Ugh, yeah, I get it. I don't have the right to speak up about the organization. But don't really push it. If you're stupid, I'll always listen to you."

"Thanks, Jessica. Haha, I don't think I've seen a common sense guy in a long time."

Dry smile. You're sick, you're sick, Edim,

There are only a few things I can do. I wonder if this is how I'm going to invite Edim to tea for a little gas drain.

Then I heard stupidity so as to reduce the stress on Edim at all. 90% of the story is about an idiot boss who can't help it. I can't say anything because it's one story, but he sounds like a great boss to hear in half.

Thirty minutes later...

"Phew, I calmed down a little when we talked about idiots. Jessica, can I ask you out for tea again?

"Yeah, yeah, happy! Good. Edim's feeling a little better."

"I think there will be a lot of escapes from Division II (Bakanos) in the future."

Edim seems to have relaxed for some time.

What am I gonna do?

Shall I ask you about that?

Looking at Edim right now doesn't seem to have anything to do with that case...

I just don't like to put any further stress on Edim, who's relieved of stress because of it. Also, when my soul falls out, it hurts me too.

Um, but it's in spite of the peace in town. Above all, if I left it alone, I might be able to bring suspicion from the organization to Edim himself. That could be an unfortunate event for Edim.

Yeah, I knew we'd hear it!

"Edim, it's a different story, but do you know there's a vampire hustle in town right now?

"Ha? Jessica, what the hell!

To Edim's surprise, I guess I don't know.

"You know, there's been a bunch of vampires in town lately. Of course, I know it wasn't Edim's fault."

"Oh, of course! What the hell kind of idiot would do that?"

Then I taught Edim about the vampires who are rambling in town.

That he behaves like a king.

Explained how noisy it is to rule this country one day.

When Edim listens to me, he's blue-mouthed and shaking his face.

"E, Edim, are you okay?

"I'll kill you, I'll kill you, I'll definitely kill you! What the hell kind of idiot went wild!

"Edim, calm down."

"Jessica! Show me where he was!

That's what Edim pulled me to leave the store behind.
