Chapter 1908: The Eighth Seraphim vs. Eye of Darkness (Part 49)
Several decades have passed since the incident with Lucifer.
Her Highness Gallia has kept herself locked inside the great hall, which is truly worrying.
Gu Shengyin doesn’t really know who she’s contending with.
She thinks her own behavior is rather pretentious.
To be honest, from the perspective of God, making such a choice was indeed beyond reproach.
Gu Shengyin even feels that if the destined person had been Gallia, it would have been much better.
Because she knows why God acted this way and can understand his choice to some extent.
But Lucifer knew nothing.
He wouldn’t know that God didn’t despise him.
In Lucifer’s understanding, he was the one inexplicably abandoned.
And he was such a devout angel.
Gu Shengyin dares not imagine how hurt Lucifer must have felt at that time.
During these decades, she has shut herself in this palace, refusing to see anyone, including God, perhaps hoping she could forget some things.
Unfortunately, she cannot forget.
Seeing Gabriel’s worried expression, Gu Shengyin gave a smile.
"I’m fine, Gabriel, I was just healing before."
Yes, she used this excuse to hide away for decades.
But everyone knows that Gallia’s wounds had long healed; it was merely her troubled heart.
Seeing her this way, Gabriel sighed in relief and took the opportunity to say: "Then how about we have a small gathering at Moon Heaven for us to catch up?"
Gu Shengyin looked at her expression and sighed inwardly: "Alright."
Gabriel left happily.
She was probably really worried that Gallia had been stifled all these years.
When Gu Shengyin went to Moon Heaven, she happened to encounter Messiah entering the teleportation array.
Seeing Gu Shengyin, Messiah was visibly surprised.
He smiled and said, "Long time no see, Your Highness Gallia."
Gu Shengyin nodded at him without saying much.
Messiah, adept at reading expressions, stood quietly to the side, seeing that Gu Shengyin wasn’t in the mood for conversation.
When they arrived at Gabriel’s palace, and saw Gu Shengyin and Messiah together, Gabriel was surprised.
She was worried that Her Highness Gallia might hold a grudge against His Highness Messiah because of the Lucifer incident.
All the Seraphim attended this small gathering.
Gu Shengyin noticed clearly that while the Seraphim showed no issues in etiquette, Messiah could hardly join the conversations.
No matter what, even though they knew the affair with His Highness Lucifer was mainly God’s will, the Seraphim couldn’t bring themselves to warm up to Messiah, the catalyst.
Messiah understood that he probably wouldn’t receive any genuine hospitality among this group of Seraphim.
He chuckled bitterly to himself; after all, he still didn’t understand why God had issued such a decree in the first place.
He never had any intention of usurping His Highness Lucifer’s position.
...
After the small gathering, Gu Shengyin returned to her palace.
Someone was waiting for her.
Gu Shengyin paused in her steps.
She looked at the silver-haired deity seated in the chair.
Approaching with a respectful demeanor, she performed a flawless courtesy: "God."
God looked at her and said, "Gallia, after several decades, are you finally willing to step out?"
Gu Shengyin’s expression remained unchanged: "Gallia feels that her wounds have healed much."
