To Be a Power in the Shadows!

Just a little help.

New was looking down at the body in a vandalized lab. He wears dark brown hair with the same color eyes, wild glasses and an academic school uniform.

There was a hue in New that was disguised as a discreet appearance but still could not be concealed.

"The Red Knights." The Lion Beard. "Glenn.

The body was staring into the void with a distressed look. Looks like they hurt me a lot.

It was a known name in the Knights, but it would be disgusting if it could seal the magic.

New's interest quickly shifted to something else.

There was another knight down in this lab. He still had his breath.

"Marco Granger. You joined the Red Knights."

The face was the person in New's memory.

A man with a fair face for his beautiful blue hair and high strength as a Demon Swordsman, rumored to be the Knights Commander in the future. I've always had a strong sense of justice when I think about it.

Marco was once the man who was New's permission to marry.

We exchanged letters many times, and at the ball, the person we danced with. But in the end, it was just the person my parents decided to deal with. I don't know what he thought, but New never had any affection for him until the end.

It's just not like I hated it.

I didn't hold love, but I thought he was a good man.

I was not dissatisfied that I was to marry him in the future, and I thought that if I married him, whom everyone praised, the glorious future would continue.

A determined path.

Decided opponent.

A determined future.

Once upon a time, New was thin of his will. I have lived by following the values around me and listening to the words around me. I don't think that was a bad idea. However, now that I think about it, it was a terribly cramped way of life.

Looking at his face, Fuji's memory of the ball came back to life.

New laughed bitterly, remembering his former self as he had taken Marco around like an accessory with his face.

The memories you want to forget now are decided and will never be forgotten.

"New, what are you doing?

Suddenly, New looked back when he was called from behind.

There were no signs or anything, but I'm not so surprised. Because I knew that voice.

"Dear Shadow..."

A brunette mediocre boy was inside the lab at some point.

The boy passes next to New and opens the lab shelves.

"This man was allowed to marry."

"Heh. What do you do?

"As for me personally, I have no reason to live or kill"

"Then I think that's fine."

That's what the boy says, he opens the shelf and looks for something.

New left by Marco and stood beside the boy.

"Dear Shadow, it's late, but I will report you"

"Yeah."

"The Shadow Garden is currently lurking and waiting around the school. You can move whenever you want."

"Yeah."

"It's just that fighting under circumstances with limited magic carries risks. As usual, the only people who can move are the Seven Shades, but Gamma is the only one currently in the King's Capital. So... you know, Gamma isn't very good at these things..."

You have zero taste.

"Um... yes. Wow, I can only use half my usual strength too..."

"Oh well."

"Master Gamma is currently in command of the whole thing. Gamma predicts that the situation with limited magic will not last that long, and that we should wait until then without being forced to do so."

"Yeah."

"The black-clad men remain stuck in the grand auditorium with no movement. As it stands, there seems to be no demand from them either. The Knights surround the school, but only Iris Midgal and the other Knights chiefs are likely to be at war in this. There's going to be a lot of conflict, and it's going to be tough."

"Yeah."

"Without instructions from Master Shadow, we will wait until we have movement."

"Yeah."

"May I?

"Yeah...... oh, wait a minute"

"Yes."

"I have something to look for. of the pinset of misrils, of the powder of the bones of the earth dragon, and then of the demonic stones of ash..."

New takes the instruments the boy names one after the other out of the cupboard.

"Thank you. No, thank you."

"No, it's outrageous. Um, can I ask you what you want to use it for?"

New asks the boy with the appliance in his arms.

"Oh, this one. I'm adjusting the artifacts."

"Is this an adjustment to the artifact?

I didn't think the boy was even familiar with the artifact, but no wonder he could, given his presence. But why adjust the artifact in this situation now?

"It's an artifact called" The Eyes of Greed "that inhibits magic. This is the final adjustment phase of the artifact that temporarily disables the eyes of greed."

"Oh my... that's just great"

I didn't know you already figured out the cause of magic inhibition and were even ready to deal with it.

Moreover, if we were to invalidate an artifact that causes so much magic inhibition, the knowledge needed to prepare for it would not be much in parallel. It is impossible without the knowledge of the highest peak of the nation.

New fought his incalculable brains.

"I think it'll be done by sundown."

"Then we'll be ready to move right along with it"

"Looking forward to it."

"Yes."

Dropping off the boy leaving with the appliance, New confirmed his former sense of forgiveness.

Hit his neck with a pitch-black knife.

Normal breathing, pulse, no shaking.

Alive, but definitely unconscious.

"You picked up your life."

New disappeared leaving a thin cut on Marco's neck muscle.

I'm back.

Shelley smiled when she saw Sid returning with the appliance.

She receives the appliance from Sid and arranges it at her desk.

"Thank you. Now you can complete it."

"Good luck."

Shelley gets to work on adjusting the artifacts quickly.

Sid rolled onto the couch and read the book.

And the quiet time flowed.

The color of the yang that plugs through the window stains the cedar little by little.

Sid gets up sometimes and goes to the bathroom.

Shelley gave Sid his gastrointestinal pills, which frequently go to the bathroom, which he received with a subtle face.

That's how the sun falls. The color of the cedar grows stronger and the shadow darkens.

When Shelley lit the lamp, it got a little dark outside the room.

Eventually Sherry's work came to an end by the time the sun fell completely.

"Done."

Shelley showed Sid with her pendant.

Sid, who was gracefully legged and reading a book, sees it as chilling.

"Wow."

"Yes, I did"

"Yeah, the sun's down, too, and it looks good. The future of the school depends on you."

Sid stood up and pounded Shelly's back.

"There's nothing more you can do to help me, save the world with your hands"

"but good luck"

Shelley said in a slightly nervous voice, holding the lamp to the staircase to the basement.

"Thank you so much. Sid, thanks to you, I can help your stepfather."

Shelley looked back at the end and bowed her head.

"I only helped a little. I hope your father-in-law is safe."

"Yes."

Shelley smiled and went down the stairs.

The wet staircase lasted for a while, and down the road was completely different air.

Only the lamp lights the dark underground passage.

The aisles are intertwined, and you can't reach your destination if you make one mistake.

"Uh..."

Shelley spreads the map to see the way to the grand auditorium.

"Go straight ahead and take the third one to the left..."

At first, it startles me.

I remember walking down this underground aisle with my stepfather once. My father-in-law at work told me not to play. That was an unforgettable and important memory for Shelly.

She has no memory of my father. My father died right after she was born.

My mother's memory is fading, too. My mother was murdered by a robber the night Shelley turned nine.

Shelley remembers the black shadow she saw from the closet gap that night. My mother screams and that creepy laugh still afflicts Sherry in her dreams.

In the years following the incident, Shelley was unable to speak up. I rejected my surroundings and was just obsessed with the artifacts left by my mother. And I immersed myself in research as if to follow my mother's trail.

It was my stepfather who saved her like that.

She took Shelley, supported me in my research, poured out the love of my family, and finally she was able to get her voice back.

For Shelley, family memories were mostly things with her stepfather.

My father-in-law has always supported me. The day has come to return the favor.

"Gotta hang in there"

Shelley goes down the dark road alone.

In its footsteps, there was no more fear.

And we'll get there in a while.

"This is under the auditorium..."

There are many divided paths.

The road to the ground floor, from there to the centre, further upstairs......

Shelley moves on as she compares the map to the road.

"Ah...!

And I found it.

That was a small vent between the second and third floors.

I can't get people in and out, but enough to throw pendants in and out.

Sherry sneaks out of the vent to see what's going on inside.

The important thing to get rid of the signs is to lose power, he said. Sid said.

Drain your strength and breathe slowly.

There were many students sitting in the auditorium. There are few teachers.

And the number of blackheads is not that high. Shelley thought she would be able to escape as soon as the magic was released.

All right.

Sherry leaves the vent and removes the pendant.

When I incorporated the demonic stone I had prepared into the pendant, white light and letters came to mind.

Grasping a shining pendant, Sherry threw it from the vent into the grand auditorium without hesitation.
